Yep, them Spaniard conquistedores were the helpful type. They surely pitched in and helped the Indians build temples dedicated to the pagan deities they were sworn to...wait, scratch that. Better think that one out again. Great vid Dr. M.
@@Jordi_Llopis_i_Torregrosa96 And they used slavery, rape, and genocide to help them. 🙃
That last comment by the tourist though. It always strikes me as interesting (not in a good way) that so many people just assume that native people in the Americans didn't know anything prior to the Europeans arriving.
yeah, those ancients couldn't do anything without us🤯😂 HA! they built these magnificent structures while many Europeans were still living in wattle and daub huts.
Ugh. That was so cringe and embarrassing. I doubt they heard "1800"... they were baiting.
@@Jordi_Llopis_i_Torregrosa96 gee, have you seen the housing at Machu Pichu? stone walls! thatched roof, yes, but the walls were stone! and, even earlier sites had many stone terraces on which they erected their houses.......long before Europeans were crossing the Atlantic! 8oo ad......no Europeans on the American continents then.....might want to find some better info
@@floydriebe4755 Machu pichu was built shortly before the conquistadors arrived in the 15th century. If you are going to weigh in as an authority you should have your information backed up by reality.
@@Jordi_Llopis_i_Torregrosa96 While they did work metal, at most they could be described as being in the "copper age" as they were firmly rooted in neolithic technology. Iron age is a bit of a stretch as they didn't use it but your point is clear
A truly beautiful place
Thank you for delving into the truth in your reporting of world history and antiquities.
i visited Ek Balaam in 2021 and it is an awesome place!
As an Appalachian with room additions on my trailer, I am in awe of this pyramid with its room additions.
You must be one rich Appalachian!
Last video my gf made a bit of a whoopsie for thinking gobekli tepe was in Mexico and I made fun of her for it. Now this video I didn't read the description and saw "Ek Balaam" and thought this was still part of the trip to turkey 🤣🤣 I guess I got my comeuppance...
Also that little anecdote there at the end was insane! Sucks when an opportunity to educate someone goes to waste...
I first visited this site as a teen in 2006, then in 2007, and 2022. It's been amazing watching it be developed.
Developed.. They added so many things to it that were never been there before
@@captaindiabetes4244 such as?
Wow, no doubt, its an awesome, place, historical, and you got to check it out.
Thanks for sharing. 😊👍❤
Just imagine all the people for so many decades walking in and out of their doors and all those rooms for whatever mysterious reasons they had for all that. Bustling and vital.
Love the excitement... these travel videos are AWESOME!
Was just there a couple weeks ago, that monument blew me away. I just wish there had been more onsite information on the structures. There really were no explanations or labels anywhere.
It's all moderny made last year.. None of it is or original it's all fake to attract tourists
Amazing!
It is beautiful, for sure.
As far as Acropolises go, it is pretty great!
Those stairs look like leg killers.
I love the sprawling complexes. So underrated compared to the pyramids.
PLEASE Make a new video on "Who invented ZERO" a complete search with evidence. We love how you go through in detail in every topic that you covered.
Someone with better manners would have at least said "please".
@AlbertaGeek I sincerely thank you for correcting my mistake and I request you to accept my apologies. May I know if you work as an assistant for this UA-camr? I think you are doing a very good Job. PLEASE keep it up as the world needs people like you.
An amazing structure, albeit I would be a touch creeped out by thinking of some of their habits.
Than to think before this all happened, there was panspermia, and what about before that, where do we come from?! We depend on accurate knowledge, thank you for that doc! Great work!
It sounds like there may be more rooms to find? How does that work, is there excavation ongoing?
❤❤
So the door is a giant mouth with fangs? Who knew the Maya were so metal😮
Thats not original it was built last year by the workers..
@@captaindiabetes4244 Troll, how did I see it more than 2 years ago?
@@HistoryTime i looked up exactly when I was there.. It was Sept 2022...and watched construction workers working on it. I then returned Dec 2022 and that jaw thing all was there.. . Where were u there exactly im not trolling
@@captaindiabetes4244 I was there in January 2022. It was all there. Dr M was there before me.
Please start with the county lol. Thx
Very cool, so I've heard tell that there was a major discovery of a civilization in South America. Is it true, and are you going to cover it?
The aliens haven't told the Illuminati yet, but don't worry, Q is on it.
Is there any protection for this ancient treasure?
If Europeans had their way, they would have built churches directly on top of each of the monuments to assert their dominance(like they did with Coricancha in Cusco)
Ironically these days we Europeans are the least religious of all the continents.
yeah that might indeed be true@@Richard1A2B
That was precisely what invaders did to important temples in India a few centuries ago - pillaged the treasure and wealth from the temples and replaced those temples with mosques.
@4ur3n and a good thing too 😉
They did exactly that many mesoamerican sites, in fact. That was a common ocurrence here in Mexico
Sarlacc pit! HA! 😆
How many decades did it take to clear the weeds?
They still haven't entirely. There is a large amount of clearing and restoration work still going on on the monument's northeastern side. Also, two other structures, almost the same size are on either side of it (all together forming an upside-down U shape) that are still entirely unexcavated and overgrown.
The good doctor has yet ANOTHER girl! Dude!
Was the tourist you mentioned at the end called Brien Forester by any chance? 🤣
Where's the beard!?
What happened to your beard!? 😭
OMG, no beard!!! aaaahhh! AAAAHH!!!! just joking. looks fine either way.
Great pyramid, but shouldn't you first say which in part of the world you are at the moment, because it is not evident untill we see those glyphs and we haven't been with you on the trip.

Are you kidding me... That mouth isnt original.. All those areas are completely made up and built none of those things were there years ago when I was there. They were talking about building those pieces.. So you commenting on added areas to the complex that are completely made up to attract tourism and you act like they are originals
The stucco facade has been cleaned, but it is original.
@@WorldofAntiquity no its not wtf.. The teeth? I was there in 2019 none of that stuff was there. None. I was there last year and was shocked at how much stuff they added out of thin air... Ur trolling me right?
@@WorldofAntiquity I have proof if you want.. In 2019 they had that whole area blocked off and covered with sheets to block view.. It was pretty dead that day so I jumped over some blocked off no zone areas and snuck behind the taped off area and took videos it was only empty rooms with nothing at all. Then last year I went there and now that whore area is magically there I when have workers on video making that mouth (it was half done when I was there last year) now I see in your video its fully built. But none of it was there.
@@captaindiabetes4244 This video was shot in 2019.
