I see a lot of people demonstrating their siphons, and many stop the inflow once the siphon begins. They may very well have timers and such to stop the inflow, but without seeing that in place can leave the viewer feeling a tad shortchanged. I do like the setup though, very clean.
The syphon definitely cycles as it drained the system with a continuous inflow. The siphon in that small bucket kicked off every minute and a half like clock work based on water height. The water pump that filled the system ran 24/7 in a timed cycle of 15 minutes on and 5 minutes off. Try it. It was inexpensive and worked well for me.

thats doesnt show it working correctly.. it should drain WHILE u are continuous having an inflow..if it cycles then it works
