Makes me feel almost like Two People Talking One is very confident, happy, proud of what he did and accomplished. The other, upset, regretful, sad of what he did.
I think it's more like: Last Stand - Proud soldier, fighting for something he truly believes in, willing to die for his beliefs while Great War is a soldier distraught and disenchanted with whether or not he still believes in the war. Realizing that he might die for a lie and the war isnt worth it. Looking at the history, Stand is about soldiers whose job was to protect the holy see, after a horde of warriors started sacking Rome and tried to invade the see which was a huge no no back then. Didnt matter who you were, it would be like trying to blow up the Mecca. Great War is about a soldier who was lied to about glory and had to suffer mentally and physically under strict orders from generals unprepared and unable to adapt to modern combat. Leading to massive wastes of life with almost nothing gained, especially considering how almost nothing major was accomplished by the end of the war
I tried to create something like this with Powerwolf songs, but I didn't like the result. Songs should be rather similar, but sometimes even similarity is not enough.
If you listen to the lyrics, it sounds like a Christian war happened around 1915. Many soldiers fought with dedication to their religion, but the deaths of many people rest upon their shoulders.
Warning: loud music starts at 0:10

The Last War
or
The Great Stand
Accurate
The Great Stand sounds a lot more epic
The Last War sounds like a last Sabaton album, soooo
The Great Stand
BOTH
The Great Stand
because there were and are other wars
The Last Stand - a young soldier ready to go off and do his bit for his home.
Great War - he realises what war really is.

Sounds cool. Can you make something like this, but with Powerwolf music?
