I love that you showed a variety of things to make either these ingredients! Would love more videos like this
Okay great to know you'd like to see more! Thanks for watching :-)
I‘m new here on your channel and I actually didn‘t expect anything from it because there are a lot of healthy, zero waste and minimalism channels on UA-cam. But yours is somehow different (just the fact that your not vegan and still healthy)
You also cook a little bit similar like my mom which is great (:
You’re so helpful, it’s unbelievable. Most food channels talk around the subject too much, I like that you’re direct.
Of all the meal prep videos out there this kind is my favorite. I like the idea of cooking up a few ingredients to make multiple meals out of. It's a lot easier and less time in the kitchen. I hope you post more videos like this.
You make the best meal inspiration videos on you tube. I can’t get enough of them. I often go and watch old ones just to get a fix.
I would love to see lots more. Thanks 🙏🏼
Wow thank you so much Sharon! I'm super happy to hear that you enjoy my channel!! Big hugs xoxo
i need that basil pesto! market shopping tomorrow, definitely getting some basil to try this over the weekend
I have only just come across your channel but you are the first UA-camr I have subscribed to! I absolutely loved this video and your nutrition hacks video. You are full of great information and deliver it so well. I also find you so very calming ☺️
LOVE this video! Please make more like them! Thank you!
I definitely will! Glad you liked it! xx
I just tried the chicken, acorn squash and potatoes for lunch. It’s amazing. I appreciate this so much. I have enjoyed every video of yours that I have watched. A thousand thanks! 😊
Meghan, your channel is just amazing! Not only your tips are really useful and simple, but also the atmosphere you make is so calming and relaxing! Thank you so much! greetings from Russia :)
Very useful, love that most of these fit into my anti-inflammatory PCOS diet, will definitely be trying this for next week :)
Mason lids and jars are life and waste free !! I need some in my life
What can you substitute for kale if it's not available? Totally love this video. Especially when you showed various ways to set.up a meal. More videos please. 😀
Everything looks amazing, I love your storage containers; they are amazing👍
Thanks for this, I know it’s a bit old, but is falling in line with the start of warmer weather, I can’t wait to make this.
Found your Chanel today. Love your meal prep meals idea.
I grow basil in my garden and get so many of them. Thank you for your wonderful tips!
That's amazing!! I really need to start growing my own herbs (I don't have a garden right now though but hopefully I can grow some indoors)
Meghan Livingstone
It is very easy to grow. You even can grow them in the kitchen!
This is an amazing video. Thank you so much.
I just discovered your vids and im m already subscribed and part of notification squad
I've watched this video so many times and have meal prepped an equal number. It has changed my life and I'm so happy to get out of the kitchen! I'd like to know how you reheat the proteins and vegetables. Do you use a microwave, toaster oven, or regular oven? Thanks for letting me know. Best regards!
Seriously loved this video! Love how simple and healthy everything was!
Learned a lot from this video!
Everything looks restaurant worthy- or even better! Yummy. Thank you for the great ideas!
Wow thank you very much! Hehe thanks for watching :)
Awe thank you for everything you shared! ❤
I just love your videos especially food ones, they are the only meal content I watch:)
I would really really love to have you as my older sister. Everything on your channel is so positive and life changing for me and I totally love your voice.
Definitely simple, easy and healthy recipes I want to try!
Good thing I found your you tube and thank you for sharing simple meals plan hope you could share more of this.
I'll definitely share more videos/recipes like this :D
Yum! This way FABULOUS! So many great recipes and tips. I didn't know that about the pineapple core! Thanks so much
Yeah!! The pineapple cores are super important ;-)
LOL....way fabulous....*WAS ;-P
I loved this ! Love your meal prep and how you showed us the meal ideas with the prepped foods❤️.
Yay so happy you enjoyed the video :)
Hi Ms. Meghan. I am Kath from Philippines. I have been following your vlog for a couple of weeks now and i am so inspired about the minimalism topics and of course the meal prep. But i would like to ask one thing, about meal preparations on fresh fruits, how many days should we store them on the fridge making it still fresh for an everyday meal? I am a worker in the office i want to do this everyday for my container. Thank you, i hope for your reply.
Why would anyone dislike? Thanks, Meghan!
Everything looked delicious! I am going to try some recipes. Thank you for the video.
Very good video! Thanks. I would love to see more of these.
Trying the acorn squash today!
Great ideas. So glad you included the link to your Web site, too! I am going to have to make your basil pesto; it looks delicious!
Let me know how you like it! It's one of my favourites to make :)
Meghan! Everything looks sooo good! I did a sheet pan of roasted veggies this weekend for meals, so much easier when the "good" food is ready to go. I will defiantly try all your suggestions. I have been wanting to try acorn squash, so I will try the way you prepared. I wanted to tell you, I tried your pecan stuffed dates, oh my are those good! Thank you for taking the time to provide such good content for a healthier life and keeping it simple! ;)
Hi Julie!! Definitely give the squash a try, it's one of my faves and super easy to cook up. Also, the dates and pecans are SO good, and I'm so happy you tried them and liked them!
This was my favorite video. Need more like this.
I love how simple and easy you made your meal preps!😊💖
Thank you for simple but sooo good advice 🙏🏻
Can you also show how you heat up the foods you stored away because sometimes just heating it any old kind of way makes them gross or have a weird texture. So how do you pull it off?
Excited to try that Basil Pesto!
Let me know how it goes!!
Thank you so much for the video, Meghan. Very helpful! Hope to see more videos like this in the future :)
Really happy you found this one helpful! I'll be sure to make more like this :)
Thanks so much for this - I really need some good healthy advise and as the lady below commented - please can you make some more
I'll definitely share more videos like this! xx
Thank you for build up your channel ... I've been searching this kind of content and yours fit perfectly..
I accidentally stumbled upon your chanel, and I already love it! What makes you different is that you don't do expensive, 101 ingredient recipes, and you are not a vegan/vegetarian. I have nothing against that, and I have tried eating vegetarian and vegan, and even though many people will judge me, it's just not for me. So I love how you occasionally throw in some chicken/salmon, together with so much veggies! It's amazing!!!
So happy to hear you enjoyed this video!! And glad to have you here as well :-) xx
Thank you so much :)
Looks so delicious and so inspiring. I love that it is so simple, when I started the "healthy lifestyle" and also transitioned vegan, I used to overcomplicate things because people said "vegans have to be extra careful about what they eat if the want to have enough nutrients etc". But lately I've been simplifying my meals and not only it helped (a lot) my budget but also I am feeling more energised! My body can use its energy elsewhere than digestion and I enjoy even more the flavours of each ingredient as it is not too lost between the other ones.
I love whant you do, this type of videos are really helpful.
Lots of light and love,
Anne
I know exactly what you mean! I love using fewer ingredients, I find it easier on my digestion and it's also nice to focus on not too many flavours! Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed the video!
Just found your channel and I'm loving it! Got a lot of tips and tricks I will surely make good use of!
I have a practical question: do you reheat the things you've prepped in advance? Like the steamed veggies, do you heat them before serving? And if so have you some tips for reheating without a microwave?
Hi Meghan, what if i dont own an oven, what could be an alternative to achieve the other recipes?
Fab - thanks you make it look so simple I can’t not try 🙏🏻😊
Thanks a lot for sharing all great & healthy recipes 😘👍
I'm all about easy! Thanks for sharing!
What kind of rice noodles do you like? enjoyed the simple style of your plan
Great job 👌
Hi, Meghan I have enjoyed video so much 🥰 I have one question, can you tell me if it's ok to fry products in olive oil.For me it's contoversial topic, so I will be glad to hear your oppinion.
Hey Barbare - in general, frying food less often is ideal but extra virgin olive oil is okay in my opinion. Here's a useful article you can read: www.thepaleomom.com/olive-oil-redemption-yes-its-a-great-cooking-oil/
looks amazing! cant wait to try them!
Loved this Megan thank you so much
Awesome!!!!
Love love these!!!
Awesome! Happy I found your site!
This Video was very inspiring! Thanks for the tips! Can you do a what i eat in a week? That will be Perfect. For more recipes and to life with Paleo as well.
I've never done a weeks worth of what-i-eat meals! Great idea :)
So helpful! Nice ideas, as usual! ❤️
Awesome! I just went to Costco and came back with too many bananas and mangos. I think I will chop some up and freeze them for smoothies :)
I didn't know that about the pineapple core. Great tip!
Excellent! New subscriber - Just stumbled onto you me channel. Do you have a shopping list of the items cooked in this video?
Wow those meals all look amazing! I've never been able to get the hang of meal prepping but you make it look so easy
Delicious recipes!
Lovely! I can’t wait to try the basil pesto especially! I like to double batch and freeze, is that something you do? Thanks, Meghan!
Double batching and freezing is a great idea! I don't do it a ton but sometimes I do :)
Meghan, what are your thought on buying organic? Do you try to buy all organic etc.
What do you do with your food waste (example: strawberry tops and kale stems)?
Hi Meghan how do you reheat your ingredients do you use an oven or a microwave?
Hi there! I use the oven or stovetop :)
...or I'll just eat things cold sometimes haha
How do you reheat the meals you prepped? Do you put them in the oven for a bit all together or pop them in the microwave?
I personally will use the oven or stovetop as I don't own/use a microwave, but whatever is easiest for you will do! :)
Hi, Can I prepare pesto pasta (Wheat) as lunch to the office? won't it swollen up absorbing all the liquid from pesto? Or shall I take pesto and pasta seperately?
love this video. thanks alot meghan
How do you keep fresh food from going bad. I find if you don’t eat it right away it goes bad. Do you shop on a regular basis?
Jesse Stafford yes I do! I shop for food more than once a week - we tend to buy smaller amounts of what we need as we need it (so that we use things up, especially fresh produce) rather than huge grocery shops, aside from some frozen or pantry staples 👍🏼
Jesse Stafford, I go grocery shopping once a week. I cut up my fruits and veggies and put them in glass bowls, but I don’t wash it until I’m ready to eat it.
Loved the video! Whatever happened to your cat? He was so cute! Loved seeing him in your videos!
Love your channel and your ABOUT accent:):)
Haha thank youu!!! :P
Your videos are well edited! I love watching them. You really deserve more subscribers 😊 keep working at it and I'm sure you will reach there.. sending love from India ❤️
Thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say :)
Healthy and simple meal. Thank you for sharing.
How do you reheat? Or do you eat it cold? Sorry if you already answered I couldn’t find it if you did!
Hey there! Yep either cold or thrown back into the oven in the glass dish, or cooked in a pan quickly. (I don't own or use a microwave)
Those meals look so delicious. How long do you reheat the veggies. I always wonder if you lose the nutritional value of the veggies when you reheat
Most things lose a degree of their nutritional value once heated, so it's just the nature of the game! I'll re-heat for 10 minutes or so, sometimes I'll even just eat it cold :)
Great video! I think you mentioned that sometimes you eat a side of white rice - is there a reason you don't choose brown rice instead? Thanks!
Hi there! Yes, it's because I tolerate white rice better than the more fibrous components of brown rice.
Just LOVE this video, thank you!! Do the potatoes stay fresh tasting? I find I can’t reheat potatoes as they taste very ‘starchy’. Xx
They do but I know what you mean -- and I think most foods will lose their super fresh taste once they've been refrigerated for a day or two. Still yummy though!
I am new! And I love what your channel is about. And Such a pretty aesthetic...
Thank you so much!! So happy to have you here :)
More videos like this plzzzzzz
Great ideas, thanks for sharing. I like that you didn’t spend all day prepping.
:o where did you get your double boiler? it's not in the description
Oh it's just a regular pot that you could get at any store. It's my boyfriend's actually so I'm sure you could get it anywhere! (department stores, etc.)
What is your method for reheating your food? Microwave/oven/toaster oven/stovetop etc?
So do you eat it cold then?
Cold or it can easily be re-heated in the glass containers in the oven, or in a pot on the stove :)
Neat!
YAAAAASSSSSSS, this is so needed!
Haha :D xoxoxo
Do you reheat your chicken?
Hi Meghan, thank you for this video! So helpful! I have one question: how do you re heat your food when you are going to eat it? Thank you!
Hi Isabel! I either re-heat it in the oven, in a pot on the stove, or just eat it cold :)
i'm not crazy about doing the whole meals for every single day of the week kinda meal prep, mostly coz i don't have that kinda space in the shared fridge. this really feels like something i could do every few days. thank you.
Exactly! That's what I like about prepping for just a couple of days, instead of a week :)
Great video. Can you share what your eating style is? I heard you say dairy free chocolate. Are you completely dairy free? I just started whole food/plant based/ oil free for my health.
Hi Susan! Yes I've been completely dairy-free for a couple of years now as I have IBS and tend to react poorly to it. I can tolerate *tiny* amounts of it but I rarely eat it. I have a video on my gut health story where I talk a bit more about what I eat!
How are you feeling on your health journey so far? :-)
I feel amazing! I can't imagine eating any other way now. It took all of 70 years for me to "get it", but I do now!! My blood work is quite impressive in just a few months. Having heart, stroke, and diabetes in my family, I feel like I made the switch just in time! Thanks for asking!
Good for you! Congratulations on making positive changes in your diet. I credit whole foods, plant based eating for my excellent health. I am "middle aged" and without the chronic health and weight issues that plague so many in our age group!!
Yay! That's amazing to hear Susan. Good for you for making such great changes :) xx
Love your video but the thing i don't get all the ingredients you show in videos as i am from India.
I think you would really like stasher bags.
I’ve been doing a bunch of research and am planning on getting some soon for meal prepping for work.
Do you have any suggestions for a good thermal container?
Yesssss!! I've seen the stasher bags and I REALLY want to get some. Definitely on my to-buy list. :) Hmm as for a thermal container recommendation, I'm not too sure -- I do know that the S'well bottles are quite good for that!
Hey, I arrived early today 😊
Hehe :-)
Do more easy meal preps?
good to see that someone has not jumped the VEGAN bandwagon and eating healthy bit of everything.
