Hi Troj and Rebecca ... with the size of the crab you caught l can see why you don't keep the smaller legal sized ... how big can they grow? ...
My biggest is 7lb 8 oz but the biggest caught is about 17lb

Not at the moment with all these storms plus still having work done om my jaw
Troy do use eat most of the mackerel use catch or sell them all.i would eat the lot😂😂
We do eat a lot of the catch as we eat very little red meat but I also hold a licence. Nearly all of the mackerel caught go as food and the odd few as bait when fishing for bream. I rarely use mackerel in my pots as it does not last well plus we have plenty of frames from other fish we eat.

Live from about £8 per lb but it varies wildly depending on where you buy it and the time of year.
Plan to go abalone foraging this year?
