I'm still shocked how well banana guard turned out, but yeah they do need to tweak a lot of the old characters' movesets because those moves were made for the old game's speed which explains why many moves and combos don't connect anymore
Could be that more of the combos that used to flow naturally now need Dodge extends that people haven't figured out yet
@@kamikeserpentail3778 that is true, I'll have to experiment with some of the older characters to test this out
Everything seems fine to me tbh just first day felt off everyone says this stuff after playing for an hour, even Harley feels honestly better with how easy to connect her combos are
Yeah but some characters like Marvin and especially Arya can't connect a lot of their old combos, matter of fact Arya's up special is 10x worse than before. I did play Harley after making this comment and she's one of the few who are fine atm but her, Shaggy, and Finn are the only characters I feel who transferred over fine so far

Do you know about the attack cancels. If you jab then dodge you can repeat the jab and start a combo. It is dodge-able but if your opponent doesn’t know about it, it’s a free combo
that’s awesome, def trying this out
I feel like they should make the perks for each character that will help their Signatures, so each one may have the same perks, but not all the perks will be the same

Not only were the perks more expressive but each character had some unique ones you had to unlock/buy
those are still in the game! definitely want the 3 other perk slots to be meaningful again though
@@slushMVnahhh I didn’t mean the signature perks. Each character came with like 3ish new, regular perks among the 10ish each could unlock through progression instead of the perk currency now. that once you unlocked could be used on every fighter. I thought they incentivized ppl to try out other characters nd you could just buy em for more if you didn’t wanna. my og comment mighta made it sound confusing tho my b. But yea the other three perks are dooky and the fact I have to select my custom one over the preset before every match also makes me wanna step on legos

atleast make the damage counter an option so that if you cant handle seeing your stats then you dont have to but the majority who want it can have it
The new speed doesn't ruin the game. But some characters are ruined by the speed
Jason and super man "run" and movement speed is awful. Like not even for a tank it should be acceptable.
I actually agree, I think there’s a middle ground between the old speed and the new speed that we need to be at
I just hope ranked doesnt take months to be added
I feel like the new perk system with preset builds is to make it so you aren’t changing your perks based on your matchup, same with the fact you can’t change your character in a rematch (which is rlly annoying)
I feel like in some ways they made the skill Gap smaller and in other ways they made it bigger.
In beta it was an absolute joke how much faster shaggy was than like Gizmo. He could literally run circles around the map and never attack and I couldn't hit him which should never happen.
The way the Dodge meter is handled now and the addition of parrying are definite improvements.
It does feel a bit slow now though, I just think the speed and jump height difference between characters shouldn't be as high as it was in the beta.
Part of the reason everyone's using the same perks is because people who didn't play in the beta have to actually get the points to unlock them.
I have a feeling the platform generating air Dodge might see some interesting use.
But overall yeah there 's too few of them and they aren't hyper interesting.
A lot of people are saying banana guard is s tier.
They've got reach and power, and those are definitely valuable.
But their kit is also super straightforward, and a fair amount of their attacks do have a decent windup, so I feel like they'll be vulnerable to Dodges and parrys.
But I only played them like one Duo match.
Why is nobody talking about the final ringout song being removed on matches? I think it is a bug but I really want to see it fixed.

@@slushMV Hardly ever perfect, but good/fun shouldn't be too much to ask for at launch.

The crying is actually good especially in 2s where they get stuck and get combo on. Also its funny to beat opponents then use the crying move lol
interesting, I play a lot more 1s so that's a cool perspective and I can see how that works. very cool! :)

Honestly? I think they should just remove the perk system all together or keep the special ability perks, like how the tip of wonder woman’s lasso does KB or Harley’s moving down attack.

Im sad that they removed the individual character ranks because i was top 200 rick and i like to see stuff like that.
Banana guard does not combo at all but does super high damage. Kinda of a toxic character
Only thing i really hate now is the Perk System i dont understand why they removed so MANY PERKS. I cant build my perk tree around my playstyle and it just sucks :(( hope they change it soon. (good video as always would be cool it you could do a Livesteam maybe?)
they gutted aria. she feels so underwhelming compared to beta. fixed none of her problems only made them worst. why did i chose to main the one character the devs hate

They need to adjust the priority on his running r1 cause it instantly counters 80% of the characters
My one complaint about the release is that you can no longer test out characters you don't have. Other than that it is amazing and I can't wait to see what is added to the game.

i honestly belive they messed up most of the game because of the servers idk why they said that it was really good but every rounds i get disconnected

Banana guard is a a cool character but he's really basic and there's nothing special about him. Like how Morty has like the hammer and grenades, Rick has the portals, Arya has the knife and face steal, Jason has the bag, but banana guard doesn't have anything. Even shaggy has the super sayin, banana guard just has the weight which barely do anything
Also at 4:27 and 5:52 I felt so noticed (I comment about the perks last video)
I agree, banana guard feels very basic and kind of lazy. I think that’s ok though, the game needs some simple characters that are easy to pick up and play, I think he fully belongs and I like that he was added :)

I don't mind most of the changes, but I hate that they took away alot of good features. Rather than giving bad players a way to beat better players maybe they should invest in skill based matchmaking... maybe not having ranked locked again would help
the only thing i dislike is not being able to see your stats, it gave me a reason to get good because there was basicly a mmr leaderboard. Now there is no reason to grind other than having fun and the game isnt very rewarding

One of the reasons people are saying the game is unplayable is because of lag/delay, playing online the combat does no work, not in Australia, and I’m assuming other people are having problems too. It was better before, there was not lag and stuff
weird, I've had the exact opposite experience. servers felt terrible and laggy in beta, but now feel very solid. maybe its just a difference in region?
@@slushMV back then i used to think the servers were awful but its actually much much worse for me now for some reason

never seen Adventure Time. Banana Gaurd is great and feels great.
In my opinion, there's like three seasons of random nonsense that serve as world building but don't really feel that amazing at the moment.
Then things get interesting and you find you're invested.
Then around like season 6 you find the show is amazing, and you're glad you watched the first few seasons because of things you understand now, but looking back you still acknowledge they weren't that great on their own.
It's unfortunately very much a "don't worry, the show gets better" kind of show

ive only played a couple rounds but i hate games that protect bad players and make the people who put the most time and money into the game for the casual consumer its annoying games like these are going to make money regardless let us enjoy games

The only platform the game is unplayable is Xbox, PFG haven't play tested the game on the Xbox consoles at all, there's no way they did. People crying about the speed just don't want to adapt.
