One thing that hasn't changed since OJ Simpson tried calling Bob Costa during his desperate Bronco ride is his profound stupidity equaled with his unbridled arrogance.
I lived in LA during this time and had a few "one degree separations" with the OJ case. People are still amazed at my run-ins! I worked for two interior design firms, and with the first one, our client was Michael Ovitz formerly with Disney, who lived across the street from OJ and Nicole on Rockingham. Went to Ovitz home once for delivery of items, and remember parking in front of OJ's house. He wasn't home, but I could hear kids from inside the house. Second design firm, our client lived in condo complex half way up the street, from the murder site. She remembered being awaken by a car going down the alley, THAT night, because her bedroom window faced the alley. I saw and met Kato Katlin, the former "houseguest" who lived behind OJ's house, once at my apt complex in West Hollywood. Kato shared elevator ride with me, said hello, then got off, to go see a friend? He just seemed a bit odd? 🤔 I was sitting at the corner of Doheny and Third in Beverly Hills, and a car driven by OJ's daughter, Arnell, pulls up next to mine, she looks over briefly, then drives off? 🤔 Finally, while working on another design project in Brentwood, saw OJ himself! Sitting on Sunset waiting for signal light to change, a white SUV (not a Bronco), turns left in front of me, heading east on Sunset. His driver's window was down, as was mine... I looked over to see F*****G OJ SIMPSON, look at me! Let me tell you, almost 30 years later, I can still picture that moment, and get goosebumps, because I can say that I looked at into the eyes of someone who committed a DOUBLE MURDER! Chilling... 😨
Yeah everyone was watching it and 13 year old me was cussing at the TV for them breaking away from the NBA finals to show the most absurd police chase in history, and then a zoom shot of a front window to OJ's house.
I was in the middle of smoking weed at a friend's house on Long Island with two other friends when the Bronco Chase just stayed on the set. We were clueless and bewildered by this phenomenon.
All you have to do is watch his body language during the murders verdict, when heared that he (was not guilty) his reaction was not that of an innocent person , his reaction was petting his attorney on the shoulder that indirectly say, "I can't believe I just beat murder"....the reaction of an innocent man would have been far more much joy than he displayed. Oj has behavior problems plain and simple.
@@jadaviousburnett78 l have to say after seeing the trial on YT and looking into case in more depth l feel it isn't cut and dry about OJ, there seems to be many grey areas, l wonder if we'll ever know the truth?

Wow. Good story. I lived in LA when this happened, and Costas is right, everyone was watching. Shocked. This just adds to the story even further, and we all know O.J. did it. Period. You can see it in Costas' eyes, too.
A lot of people don't realize just how popular OJ was. He was the most recognizable person on the planet. Everyone loved. OJ . I remember thinking there's no way in hell OJ did this. But I sure looks like he did.
well, not as recognizable as some others at the time. Michael Jordan and Jackson, Princess Diana, but he was up there. and i too thought he was innocent at the time.
Ya sure. A month or two before the murder, we could all read the newspaper about his latest assault on his former wife ! But, no way he could have killed her.
His attitude and cavalier demeanor in jail shouts out guilty to me ! Maybe I'm misreading him ? I personally would have been livid if someone killed my wife and I would be worried about the children and myself. Not laughing.
Remember watching that freeway chase live on CNN International in a Shanghai hotel room first thinking why is CNN showing a car chase until I realized what was going on.
The prosecution team screwed up in losing a very winnable case. The amount of EVIDENCE pointing the finger at OJ was overwhelming yet the star studded team of attorneys hired by him were no match for the publicly funded council. That and the fact that a jury of his peers were chomping at the bit to "level the score" against a " Black Man" proved to be too much to overcome. If you haven't already, read the book by Christopher Darden " In Contempt" detailing the inner workings and facts about this case and you will be 100 percent convince that OJ slaughtered his ex wife and her "friend" in a bit of jealous rage.
A black jury from south central would have never convicted OJ. Now, did the prosecution do a good job? No, they were lapping up getting put on the cover of Time, being talked about in tabloids. The glove. They were bad.
prosecution lost the case bye asking pepole to belive in something impossible . no way that was done alone or that oj did the cutting any fool knows this prosecution needed to prove he did it and once they charged him for something impossible it was a wrap if the charged him with conspiracy to commit Bam its a done deal but he didn't actually do what they said he did and if a jury is doing there job even if they knew he had it done they would have to aquit
I took an FBI class from someone who worked on this case. After telling us some details, I asked sarcastically "so O.J. did it." He just started laughing like it's the stupidest question ever.
Saw Al Cowlings once at a Las Vegas convention shortly after the murders, and he had the worst vibe about him that I’ve EVER observed Another human being having.
It took 9 months to get an acquittal when 9 words from the defense could have accomplished the same result. Turn to the jury and say:"You Black."Point to O.J. and say:"He black."Then turn to Ito and say:"Your honor, the defense rests."
I believe Bobs story but i’m unsure why the guy thought it was a prank when OJ called. He had to know that they both worked together @ NBC. If a guy claiming to be OJ tried to call me or something I would definitely think it was a prank but it doesn’t seem that crazy that he tried to call Bob Costas, a former colleague and very famous person in his own right

@@Toadspring With you on both counts. The "you did it" comment was probably intended as cute, but under the circumstances said more about O.J.'s pathology than his humor. And Costas is essentially, to my mind, a well-spoken and insightful commentator, who is good at drawing out the humanity in stories. Confident? yes, and maybe that vibe that comes across sometimes as overconfidence may have developed from being a really short guy wanting to hang around much bigger guys! When his career first started, I didn't like him much (for the same reasons others are mentioning here), but over time I've come to appreciate him as a good communicator, storyteller, and voice for the flawed and sometimes amazing people who play, coach, and operate these sports we attach ourselves to. How did he do it???? He's a BIG STRONG FUCKING ATHELETE able to easily overpower both of them. Motive: INSANE JEALOUSLY!!!!! It's done all the time. I've watched damn near every episode of "Forensic Files" and I've always wished they would do one about OJ Simpson. There was literally a mountain of forensic evidence linking him directly to the crime scene and there is no question whatsoever from a forensic standpoint that he was the one who committed those two murders. He only got off because Cochran played the only card he could which was the race card. It sickens me that OJ has spent almost all of his life after that as a free man. It was a complete travesty of justice.
joel driver, NONE of the evidence proved that OJ was guilty. LAPD detectives played games with evidence, much of it done by Mark Fuhrman. Bloody socks, in the bedroom, is just one example. They were NOT there when police initially entered OJ's home but showed up later. Two gloves were found at the murder scene, but one showed up later in OJ's back yard. MSM claimed that OJ's hand was cut during the murders. The facts were that OJ's hand was cut when he broke a glass when he was informed that Nicole was murdered. MSM also claimed that OJ tried to escape to elsewhere on a commercial flight. That was false also because OJ had scheduled that flight a few weeks before the murders. Evidently, you'll swallow any crap that MSM spews out. Are you aware that MSM reports are NOT admissible in any US courts and are considered hearsay?
@@sergeantmasson3669 There was a mountain of forensic evidence directly linking him to the crime including his own blood that was found at the crime scene. I watched the whole trial. Unbiased opinion: guilty. When the jury came back and said not guilty I couldn't believe what I just heard.
He didn’t explain the main thing. What did he want to talk to you about?
Probably called to ask him why he killed his wife. Remember his cut finger and meeting OJ in prison story haha.
The tech guy didn't take messages, apparently.
OJ nearly decapitated Nicole, thats how bad he slit her throat. He will get his Karma.
Were you there?
I was sitting at the corner of Doheny and Third in Beverly Hills, and a car driven by OJ's daughter, Arnell, pulls up next to mine, she looks over briefly, then drives off? 🤔
Finally, while working on another design project in Brentwood, saw OJ himself! Sitting on Sunset waiting for signal light to change, a white SUV (not a Bronco), turns left in front of me, heading east on Sunset.
His driver's window was down, as was mine...
I looked over to see F*****G OJ SIMPSON, look at me!
Let me tell you, almost 30 years later, I can still picture that moment, and get goosebumps, because I can say that I looked at into the eyes of someone who committed
a DOUBLE MURDER!
Chilling...
😨
Did you take it as a bad omen?
That was pretty good..but not surprising..the west side is a small geography..so makes sense you bumped into all those people.
He made a joke about brutally slaughtering two people, one being the mother of his kids.
All I see in my mind is OJ rolling down the stairs at Dodger Stadium in a wheelchair and goes head over heels from upper level over the rail, yikes.

Remember watching that freeway chase live on CNN International in a Shanghai hotel room first thinking why is CNN showing a car chase until I realized what was going on.
Costas is such an eloquent speaker.
Apparently one of the jurors said "the bitch deserved it" he was never going to be convicted.
