If they had better management, and a more supportive label, they would have been much more successful. because they were quite brilliant, especially live.

For some reason, this song makes me picture Icarus - "You're up in the air, loving your wings, but what happens when you come down? " When I close my eyes, I see Icarus who flew too close to the sun.
This video used one camera and probably cost a couple hundred bucks to make and it still looks better and hits harder than almost anything made in the last 10 years.
The song and music video's absolutely enchanting. It makes me feel so serene, safe, and oddly comforted.... ...But at the same time it's strange, mystical, and abstract. Anyways these ladies rock and they've gotten me into gothic music

Aahh, the Shim Sham, lots of good shows there, and later at One-Eyed Jacks. I saw Switchblade uptown at Jimmy's on Oak St. Uptown by the Maple Leaf. Good show, good times.
Excellentness & awesomeness!!! This drummer just owns me everytime i hear this. Her voice is so damned DAMNED, or commanding or something, like a Dominatrix trying to be nice about the painful eternal truths.

There's this coven of witches in Salem I know that totally love this band... I like them, too. Especially the 3 calamities album. It's got a hypnotic quality.
I bought a Marilyn Manson shirt at the boardwalk and the lady behind the counter with rainbow hair asked if I actually liked his music. Of course I said yes and she asked what my favorite song was and I responded with "Lunchbox." After a highfive I started to walk away but she called after me and said "Hey! You should check out Switchblade Symphony" so here I am.
I still talk to George occasionally. I wish them all well. However, I miss them all the time. They were not only talented people they were sweethearts and a lot of fun to be around. 😊
This band was so much better than most 90's goth; they weren't trying to get by on their image, their songs had real hooks.
If you pine for great Goth, follow the German Goth scene. I lived in Germany for 12 years and continue to follow Blutengel, Lord of the Lost, and Mono, Inc.
80s and 90s goth scene was a thing of beauty... met them in San Francisco... you wouldnt believe the rest but I wont forget it.
The Golden Age of Goth…especially the 90s.
Thanks to my love of this band, my mom had Where the Willows Never Weep on her tombstone ... she loved your music too 🖤
That's so precious.
❤
This is beautiful. I hope SS learns of it. One cannot receive a bigger endorsement than that. Not to a Goth.
Now, that's a die hard fan.
True story: her apartment was burned badly while they were filming this elsewhere, so they filmed part of the video there.
Really? :-o

This whole video and song reminds me of the movie "What ever happened to Baby Jane?" with Bette Davis. Love Switchblade.
For me it's a mix of Harley Quinn, and Abby from NCIS (when it was still worth watching). 🙂
