@caroconga I don’t find the bass overpowering at all. That nonsense is coming from the UA-camr Oluv so he can sell that Uboom L speaker (which I didn’t like) which he has some sort of partnership with. It does have a low bass (like quality home systems with 10” powered subs have), but low bass doesn’t overpower other instruments like that mid punchy bass.
I like your taste in Bluetooth speakers. I own 3 of your reviews that sound extremely good to me. I especially like the way the bose portable home smart speaker will come on and connect just by connecting it by its power cord. That is so useful and seemingly magic.
Can you please give me more details about the 3 that you have?? I'm looking for a home speaker that i can use in the gym, for backyard parties, and just to listen to music while in the kitchen, or even in the bedroom. I LOVE chill music with bass.

I tried a lot of the ones you suggest! Then I did more in-depth research. So glad I did for I found out about and bought a Teufel Boomster. I delight in it every time I switch it on. There’s no comparison. Just read the reviews. (I had the same problem years ago when checking reviews. I bought a speaker no one reviewed: an ADX Dynamix. Still works brilliantly. Beautifully balanced).

Maybe?! you should include a sound test next time you’re comparing device. Gives us the viewers a taste of what it could actually sound like. Especially for those looking to buy one of the speakers above. 🙏🏼
I like your evals on these speakers. I agree on the Bose Flex. I am currently comparing the flex (BF) with the Anker Soundcore Boost, 20w (ASB). Believe it or not, the ASB is making it hard for me to decide on it and the BF. The BF is better on overall sound, but I find that using the Atmos sound feature on my phone, makes the ASB sound damn close to the BF. I am leaning toward the BF, but reviews stating how flaky the connectivity app is has me hesitating. I like to pair two speakers for stereo sound filling the room. After listening to the ASB is sounds great and beats the BF...until I switch back to the BF and it sounds richer over all ranges. For sure the BF is batter sounding, but for the price the ASB cannot be beat. I paid $49!
The Bose app isn’t good at all, but fortunately you don’t need to use the app for pairing. You just press button sequence on the one speaker, then on the other, wait 10 seconds or less and done. Maybe 15 seconds in total tops. I only used the app to rename each speaker.
That motion boom plus is my favorite more than loud enough the Sony XG 300 is nice too and the Bose flex but I use the motion boom plus at the indoor pool for classes it’s awesome. Nice video
Great review, thank you! Only thing is that there are a number of uses for these that wouldn’t work with Bluetooth (such as musical instruments, non Bluetooth stereos, etc.,) so would be nice to know which speakers have audio input, such as an 1/8” inch or usb

I purchased the Micro 2 (the replacement for the Stormbox Micro) last year. It's very similar in size, but the output and run time are increased. It's a great little speaker. Yes, I do take it hiking, but turn it up only when I'm on my own, LOL. It's "warm" sound is actually a great fit for this type of use. I was considering purchasing the Extreme 3 as well, but after perusing many reviews (UA-cam and otherwise), I decided to go with the Mifa Wildbox instead. The Wildbox is a lot cheaper, but uses the same driver layout (two woofers, two tweeters) and can produce excellent sound, particularly with a slight bit of EQ to pull down the highs a little bit. Both the Micro 2 and the Wildbox are IP67 rated too. BTW, my first BT speaker was a Soundblaster Roar2. It's amazing how far BT speakers have come since that was released. And yes, it still works 🙂

Is there a good bluetooth speaker that isn't portable? Meaning no battery, have to plug into the wall? Or maybe one that plugs-in and doesn't kill (over-charge) the battery? I have a $50 PC soundbar in my kitchen. It sounds okay, it's always-on so I don't have to touch it. My only problem with it is the device memory. If I want to switch devices I have to re-pair every time. If I could get multi-device memory, plus a little better sound quality, I'd pay more. My only problem is I don't have space for a subwoofer in my kitchen. A lot of the higher end PC soundbars now only come with subs.
Just because a speaker has a battery it doesn’t mean you can’t keep it plugged in all the time. Worst case is you wear the battery out faster, which means it won’t hold a charge eventually, which wouldn’t matter to you if you are keeping it plugged in. I love my Bose Flex, it has rich bass in small package AND remembers all my devices…just cycle through BT button on the speaker to connect. I had five , but could probably do more. It will even connect to 2 devices at same time. Oh and the sound quality is great too.
I can't understand the hype for the Bose Flex, you can tell it's got paper cones, it's got one mono driver and that's it. I mean it sounds fine, and it's loud, but that's about it. No isolation, no stereo, enough distortion that it's bothersome.
