Just realised how, after 2.3, The Failed Albedo is most probably the "Soil" and the left one at 1:40 while Albedo is the Chalk, obviously, on the right. There was already hints about it all this time and It's only now did we truly understand why Soil and Chalk is specifically in the description and being described the way they are and separately.
Not to mention, the way the left Albedo has his eyes open and the right Albedo has his eyes closed, already symbolising of the first watching him from afar-and perhaps maybe even knowing the truth of the world that Albedo can't see? Who knows
"Soil - the origin of alchemy, the basis of all life." : The Failed Albedo being the first prototype and the image Gold, the ones who made them, based the next few(?) prototypes on.
"Chalk - the blank canvas, on which to paint life..." : The Successful Albedo being the "Success" Gold wanted him to be and to learn more about the world (the truth, the meaning) that his brothers couldn't (from the cinnabar spindle lore).
Would never have seen that coming ngl but it's such a pleasant surprise when mhy had already given hints and it's only now being uncovered.

Yeah and also I think the reason why susbedo is a failed prototype is not only doesnt he have any visible imperfections, he also creates to destroy. I think him going against Gold's philosophy (using alchemy to create and sustain life) might be the reason why Gold called him a failure. He couldnt blend with humans because he isnt a human being in the first place, he doesnt have the conscience or emotional range of a human being either. Albedo may be flawed but he has these human qualities which is why he is the chosen one.
Sometimes I think about that bit when they found the heart of Naberius. Could it be the gnosis of the former Dendro archon? It would make sense since theyre after knowledge and truth of the world

It's not a burn. It is a teacher's vote.
By result's analysis, Sucros got a 10 and Timaeus a 6.
It's also a sad reality, Timaeus doesn't have a vision and he's just a regular human who is learning Alchemy. Sucrose on the other hand is a Visual wielder meaning she's already more capable than Timaeus when it comes to understanding knowledge and doing specific things only people with Vision can do.
20 years to reach the textbooks albedo gave sucrose and he probably wrote for intermediates to understand the tiniest bit what he does.

They are selling those character, the need to make it fancy as possible.
This trailer already foreshadowing about this patch event quest at 1:40. There is actually 2 Albedo, 1 made from Soil, the other made from Chalk. The Albedo we knew was the one made by Chalk (Chalk Prince). Whopperflower Albedo was probably created by Soil Albedo to dispose Chalk Albedo (Theory from catwithabluehat).
"From soil was birthed chalk" might implied that Chalk Albedo was Rhinedottir's second attempt at making homunculus and as chalk is consider pure than soil, Chalk Albedo is the better version.

This trailer is super underrated. I don’t think ANY trailer has been such a clean blending of gameplay, and actually a lot of insight into the character of albedo. This gives you a great sense of who he is as a person. I love that.
It's one of my faves so far if not my favourite. It's just so.. beautiful? Ethereal? Pluperfect? I can't find the right word to describe it.
While it doesn’t have the dramatic impact of Zhongli’s (which is also one of my favourites) this trailer has some amazing visuals especially halfway through which is something I think only he has had so far

At 1:39-1:40, the panel with the two Albedos face to face confirms that MHY was planning the 3 Albedo plot from this early on which only got revealed to us now in 2.3. Amazing storytelling. It was a such a good event with so much interesting lore.
Definitely! It was my first story event outside of the main plot and I was so hooked. Probably a hot take, but Albedo has the most interesting and unique backstory in the game. Even after you learn a lot about him through this event, you're still left wanting to know more. That feeling captures his character so well. The number of unanswered questions you're left to ponder on is part of his appeal.
Big kudos to the writing team, and all of Albedo's VAs including Khoi Dao for bringing such a cool, strange, and incredible character to life. ...no pun intended.

@@-irene-29 actually he isn’t. First of all Being a teacher doesn’t mean that you are a adult. There are young teachers too. Albedo is around 18 years old. If you want proof about this, then here (*SPOLIER ALERT*):
1. In Lisa’s story lines, there is one line where she talks about Albedo. She talks about how “Albedo is also a little cute child just like you (talking to the traveller).” From what I know, Lisa is 32, so with that age she probably knows what the word “child” means. A child is someone who is between the ages of 0-18. Mihoyo wouldn’t randomly put that kind of word in there just for fun or sth.
2. Albedo is Klee’s older brother. (Not exactly, there is another story behind this, but that’s a different story) in monstadt, Alice (Klee’s mother) was the first person to see Albedo and also know him a little bit. The reason for this is because Alice was once friends with Albedo’s master in kh’aneriah, so they saw each other a long time ago too. The time is estimated as to be 10 years ago, when Albedo was 8, but it still isn’t announced yet. After Alice got the news that Albedo needed a lab (different story that you don’t need to know...) she helped him get a lab at monstadt and also with a recommendation that Alice said to Jean, Albedo became one of the knights of favonious. Later on Alice asked Albedo if he can be Klee’s older brother (to protect her). Albedo accepted to be Klee’s older brother after thinking about it for about 1 minute. So what does this show? Well it shows that: Albedo is young enough to be Klee’s older brother, otherwise he would just be Klee’s elder or sth. Klee is 10 btw.
3. People keep calling him a young man. I know, this doesn’t show anything but if you check what other ppl call the other characters, you will notice that the only ppl that get called “young man, young lady” are ppl in the 15-19 ages. So this means that Albedo is highly likely to also be 15-19 years old.

Pretty sure he is meant to be mysterious.
Which is why I wrote a story where it the traveler takes a dark route and it leads to reveal Albedo's mysteriousness, Kaeya's past which leads to many deaths.

Before his launch, everyone thought Albedo would be the worst 5* character in the game cuz miHoYo never revealed what his E actually does apart from the elevator. But now, we all know that his E works exactly like Fischl's E except with no downtime and bigger AoE. He actually turns out to be one of the best 5* character in the game. Just wait for the Geo buff to roll out in 1.3 and you'll be seeing everyone talking about how broken Albedo support is.

I was so sad and when I talked about it with other players they didn't understand why I liked him so much, because he was considered a bad 5 star or "another aether". Some even had had it and didn't even want it. It depressed me to a point. I don't understand why it is so can loved I love it and I wanted it so much.

It's on Lisa's story, but as Lisa's studies were near the truth she became afraid of it and left Sumeru and became a lazy librarian. She doesn't wanna study further. There are also dialogues with scholars that are hiring vision weilders to finish their studies
So yeah Timaeus is gonna be inferior to sucrose, albedo, and Lisa. Heck Klee is a better alchemist.

So based on the comments and what I know from the story about Klee:
Klee's mother is Albedo's teacher and a rival to Mona's teacher. Albedo think of her as his little sister and Klee's mother want Albedo to call her 'mother' instead of 'teacher' so it can be taken that Alice, Klee's mother sees Albedo as her son and that makes Albedo as Klee's big brother.
We know that Klee is close to some upper echelons in the knight of favonius such as Jean and Kaeya and she's close with Amber and Lisa too. She knows Diluc tho not close to him as she thinks Diluc as a weird person. From her promotional video we know that she's close with the knight of favonius's honorary knight, the traveler. She plays with Diona and probably acquainted with Bennet and Fishcl and she knows Venti (as a bard not as Barbatos) and she difinitely acquainted with Razor too.
Klee has connection with all important character in Genshin Impact from Mondstadt and she herself is not weak.
Conclusion:
Klee is cute.

it's not just a simple cameo actually. Alice is Albedo's master who is the one who created him, he's an artificially made human AKA a homunculus. Albedo has a disciple-master relationship with Alice, but sees her as more than that (which means he sees her as a mother). Alice left Klee in Mondstadt with Albedo, with Alice requesting Albedo to take care of Klee. And basically, Albedo now sees Klee as his own little sister. Kinda cute ngl.

That was caused mainly from Zhongli's fiasco and the fact that Mihoyo added amazing 3 4 stars characters to his banner, which resulted in people thinking that his banner is just a trap and he's trash which contributes to people made fun of his banner until he actually comes out and here we are now.
