So when it was at the literal BASE of the statue, it's essentially saying his vision is the "bottom of the barrel"/ trash.😂 Which is why he's telling the guy to stop smirking. His pride was ASSAULTED by that statue.

This demo really stands out to me because, unlike other characters, Itto's demo focuses more on his personality rather than his gameplay.
Same goes with his teaser trailer, where we know from his personality that he's a really jolly good fellow to be around while not showing much of his backstory.

Some of the other character demos does focus more on personality, just not as high quality and loud like itto.
Examples would be Childe being a battle maniac, Hu Tao pranking people, Zhongli being... Well zhongli, klee and being the innocent terrorist.

I didn't care about Itto at first but my god, his personality is everything! We've had a lot of 'elegant' characters in the game but he gives me 'guy trying to act big and cool' vibes, it's kinda refreshing! I love his personality and voice!
His VA is nailing it as well. He sounds like he's having so much fun. I love when VAs sound more relaxed and improvised while still being amazing. It makes the character feel so real yet laid back.

Itto is one of the most entertaining characters in the game just because of his personality. The only character that made me want to get them because of their personality and not their gameplay was Hu Tao. He really reminds me of her but with a more exaggerated attitude but all the playfulness!

what's fascinating about this demo trailer is that despite his vision getting taken, he hasn't lost his passion/drive compared to all the other vision holders whose vision was taken.
I mean, he is one and oni.
Except we don't know how long that was. He didn't lose his passion/drive *YET*. Everyone else that had their Visions confiscated started loosing themselves, it was going to happen to Itto sooner or later.
Just show how resilient he is. Wich is confirmed by Shinobu in the recent story quest.

And they definitely did not take him vision somewhere close ending the vision hunt, considering how loud and well know he is to the Tenryou commission.

Got a friend to start playing Nocturne a few days ago and haven't stopped making the Dante joke since. Now it's following me here. I can't escape
Genshin really has a lot of stuff similar to dmc ngl, not just with the characters but also with the moves of some of them.
Beidou was the original Genshin Dante. It's no secret that they borrowed a lot from DMC either way. I mean, look at Keqing and Ayaka (keep in mind Ayaka was designed before version 1.0, and had the same model and working animations very similar to her final release). Even some enemies have some pretty DMC moves (like electro cicin mages using Dante's Air Assault from DMC1).
Even the same fashion sense as DMC 3 Dante.
The music, the way he holds himself, the poses and those sassy lines- so much personality!
This is such a great demo, way different than the other ones and goes great with him! Great job Mihoyo!

B. His damage scaling and so on seems to be lower, but also have less things to buff it.
C. It would make lore whise sense if he does less damage, since he is just some Oni.

Itto and hu tao are such a breath of fresh air among the characters Mihoyo puts out. They are so annoying, nobody likes them, very loud and obnoxious, I love it.
What do you mean? Kids love Itto. Mainly because he loses to them but also because he's a fun person to be around.

@@fire_g the thing is, not many people in inazuma were depressed when theirs visions were taken, ayaka chose the 3 who were. There are alot of 'used to have a vision' npcs who said they felt more free and better after their vision was taken.

@@fire_g My thoughts on it is that some people live for that end goal, to achieve something, those are the people who become crippled without their vision. Others are shackled by that end goal, they want to live in the moment, so once those people lost their visions they were happy. Then someone like Itto already lives in that day-to-day state of mind, so he wouldn't be crippled without his vision, but he'd still want it to continue being the big bad oni.

From what we’ve seen it’s more likely that if you get your vision forcibly taken away, only then are you negatively impacted. Itto and another npc in komore teahouse handed them over willingly to kujou sara and there’s also one npc in liyue who decided not to use his vision but all three of them seem to be fine

with his rerun around the corner and the arataki drum event on rn i’ve come back to his demo to relive the hype and man, it does not disappoint. max did such an amazing job with itto, reminds me so much of ryuji who is quite possibly my favorite character of anything ever. his first banner happened on my birthday exactly so i splurged and got his c4, this time im aiming for c6. itto you can run but you cannot hide
There's been too much "elegance" and "style" for the Geo element im happy they finally made a character with a pure strength build (Also this has to be some of the coolest music from a trailer yet) (And also yes he has style and alot of it i never said he didn't)

Why is Itto so different from all the other characters- i mean that in the best way possible cause even the “fun” characters lack something but itto is literally so loud and I love it
yup, even mischevious characters like Xingqiu or Kaeya often feel a little bit flat or forced in their dialouge sometimes but this guy just screams passion and I love the intensity!

@@Da_Swifta I love Kaeya’s voice, specifically bc it feels flat sometimes. Kaeya’s not really genuine, and it SHOWS. I get how it could sound fake for Xingqiu, but to me it sounds like Kaeya when he sounds flat or fake. Cause that’s kind of what Kaeya is most of the time. He’s been faking it til he makes it for his entire life almost. I loooove Kaeya, he’s an awesome character. My favorite is English cause he sounds so silky smooth and a little fake. My least favorite is Korean, just cause it’s suuuper deep for a guy like Kaeya. Save that for Zhongli.
He really is one of the best characters in the game. The personality, design, backstory, voice acting, playstyle, even the music. I can't wait anymore 😭
