I just came across your videos on this couch reupholstery. I do a lot of refinishing myself but still like to see how others do it. The way you explain things in depth while not being boring is very good. You are very talented.
This is sooo helpful. After watching this second video I for sure don't think I can do this all on my own because I don't own a sewing machine. I wonder if my Aunt can do the sewing for me...so many ideas flowing through me head. You rock!
Too busy admiring your wall albums, great music there 💃🏼 ok I'm back paying attention, u inspired me too do my couch i just hope it comes out half as good 👍🏻👏🏻 thank you 💕
Yep. I was thinking of doing that as well but I'm unsure about how you'd secure the side pieces (where you tuck it into the couch where the arm is). As well as the back of the couch.
Thank you soooo much for sharing these reupholstery videos! I have 2 huge couches that are of good quality that I really don't want to just toss out! These step by step videos have given me the incentive to give them a new life!
Yesssss this is fantastic! I just bought a couch today I want to refinish, and have watched a ton of videos from super hokey to way too complicated for a novice. This is totally how I want to do it! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this set of videos together! Can't wait to get my couch redone! :)
im redoing my couch now! ever since I've moved i wanted to redo my couch (it was my sisters) and i knew i could do it myself just didn't know where to start. i held off because i was scared lol. but you've made it look so easy!! awesome video!!
Thank you! It is easy just have patience, take breaks and take your time. You will do great! Tag me so I can see your couch after you finish. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask me! TTYL
so grateful for your video I've been wanting to tackle a sectional going on... 4 years. I've been thru 2 couches and still haven't made it happen. your video makes it seem possible
I just LOVE you, your hair!!, and your video...and your background music, though a tiny bit loud, is still fun to listen to...most music in DIY videos really gets on my nerves.
I'm about to do my sectional and I'm wondering how you addressed the fabric under the cushions? This is a great video and I'm so excited to tackle mine!
i just picked up my 2 piece curved sectional for free yesterday and I've taken one half of the upholstery off.... not to mention I'm fighting a 5 month old, one year old and a cat who lives to fight with anything fluffy while trying to do this. the cat has been trying to attack the batting on the couch...smh. I've stripped it and plan on just washing and reusing the covering that was originally on it because i haven't found my fabric in a color i want. where did you find your fabric? Until i find fabric I'll reuse the fabric that was on it. and honestly my mom could sew it into a slip cover because the cover was really one big piece with two separate arms.
More than anything, this video was inSPIRING! I bought a used, gorgeously shaped and in-good-condition Ethan Allen couch, but the color is almost Kermit-the-frog and it has an ink stain that shows from the front. Dying to correct all that without paying a fortune, which I don't have. I thought it was impossible but -- 6 days .... I might could do that! Seriously contemplating after these videos!!!!!
Where did you purchase your fabric from? And I have a leather couch so can I just simply cover it up with the fabric that I get instead of actually stripping it?
Hi Ashley, I have a question, when reupholstering the couch, i noticed that you sewed the piece that you cut of the fabric together. I do not know how to sew! Would I need to know how to sew to make the ends fit in the crevices of the couch?
Honestly, you will need to know the basics of sewing. Especially when comes to redoing the cushions. I hope this doesn't discourage you. Couch covers are a great alternative too.
+IrisTina yes it definitely work for a leather couch but when you are sewing your pieces together make sure you use a leather needle that fits your sewing machine. Thanks for watching!
I love your video! Just one thing... sweetie....its difficult to hear your voice though. The background music is overpowering you. Otherwise its a great tutorial! Thanks so much!

Thank you for these videos! I have a sectional couch I wanna strip all the way down and reupholster but before I reupholster it I want to add a seat or two to it to make it bigger.
I saw a lady take a marker and wrote numbers on which piece she took off first. That helped a lot. So the back was number 1 and so on.

Thanks Josh! I have seen so many boring upholstery videos. I definitely wanted to make this video fun and motivating.
This is sooo helpful. After watching this second video I for sure don't think I can do this all on my own because I don't own a sewing machine. I wonder if my Aunt can do the sewing for me...so many ideas flowing through me head. You rock!
Thanks for doing this video, I now have the confidence to do my large sectional.

Thanks! Easy to follow.
Hands down the best tutorial and sharing your errors helps. I will be using this for my couch
thanks!!!!
very inspiring, I almost have the courage to do it myself!
Such an inspiration, thank you
I wonder if you can staple over the orignal fabric to save time, assuming that the original fabric isn't busted completely
that is actually what i think of doing. + it may be fluffier...
Yep. I was thinking of doing that as well but I'm unsure about how you'd secure the side pieces (where you tuck it into the couch where the arm is). As well as the back of the couch.
I think you need to take the fabric off the original couch, because that will be the pattern for the new fabric.

Hi Ashley, at 4:43...did you have to sow the corner edge of the arm piece before putting it over the sofa?
You're funny u'r videos are cool😎😎
Awesome
Where did u get ur fabric from
I LOVE this! I am reupholstering our sectional. It is THE WORST! It's the same size. What type of fabric was this you used?
Hello! Question do I have to sew the fabric like you did? I’m not much of a seamstress lol
can I do this to a leather couch ? and replace the leather with new fabric ?
love the narration. so much fun to watch! Your hair is so cute, btw!
+natensammyable thanks so much! I am a happy you enjoyed!

How much fabric did you use?
I just LOVE you, your hair!!, and your video...and your background music, though a tiny bit loud, is still fun to listen to...most music in DIY videos really gets on my nerves.
Thanks for the tips! Ive heard that. Lesson learned
Do you think it's possible to place the new fabric over the old fabric without removing the old fabric (not cushions, frame only)?
something I learned the hard way. Pictures!! Its all about pictures as you go.
yes definitely. I take pictures al the time.
Hey If you don’t mind me asking what kind of fabric is that and where did you purchase it !
You're the best💜🎀
thank you! you're awesome too!
So did u sew the arm part as well?
Where can l purchase upholstery fabric?
I'm about to do my sectional and I'm wondering how you addressed the fabric under the cushions? This is a great video and I'm so excited to tackle mine!
i am actually working on a cushions video Or are you speaking about the lining on the seat of the couch?
I am talking about the lining. Mine is attached to the front panel... Should I remove it and see onto the new fabric?
How much fabric did you buy and how much money did you spend . ?

Whoa! you are holding it down over there lol. I purchased my fabric from a discount store in stone mountain, ga called discount world.
Why does the music make me feel like I’m in a level on crash or Spyro

Great video but the music is extremely frustrating and repetitive
I cringed every time you stapled. I'm so old fashion I was screaming Dont get your fingers
the music is very annoying...makes me want to watch someone else
I was about to sell my peeling couch until I saw your video. Any advice on a pleather couch?
