  • This is a GREAT live Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey performance of the song ~ Don't Stop!! This is from Bill Clinton's (January 1993) Inaugural Ball. In addition to this, I also included two different (very short) clips, regarding their appearance at this ball.
    No claim or copyright infringement intended.
    Enjoy!! ~ Jackie (:

      Actually, I think it's just the American duo that's overwhelmed; Lindsey nearly flubs the lyrics at the start and Stevie looks frankly scared.

      @Marvin Morawski story about the 1995 line up. This was pre internet. Was dating this girl she loved Stevie Nicks. So I see that Pat benatar reo speedwagon and Fleetwood mac playing amphitheater near us. Now again I stress this is pre internet when info wasn't ready available. We go to the show. My first tip off that something was not right was it was a mostly reo Speedwagon crowd. Well benatar plays then REO comes out after her. I remember people saying why aren't they closing. Then Fleetwood Mac comes. Out to close. The girl I was with so excited see stevie Nicks live well they walked out and it took about a minute realize the blonde chick on the stage was not Stevie Nicks. And the guitar player was not Lindsey Buckingham. They were basically bizzarro look alike lol. My date was crushed. And not only that. The sold out amphitheatre was full when they hit stage. After the third song people were failing over themselves racing to the exit. Id say by their 5 th song the crowd of 12 thousand had whittled down to about no joke a thousand people. It was an absolute. Nightmare. Needless to say I did not get lucky that night or any other night after that with that particular girl 😂😂😂😂😂

    • @perniciousreaper4393
      @perniciousreaper4393 2 роки тому +7

      Fun fact: Stevie always used her tambourine as a prop, not as an instrument. She felt uncomfortable on stage between singing parts, and found that doing something with her hands made it less awkward. Of course, most of their songs don't use any tambourine, so the inside of the tambourine was always taped to keep it from making noise. When Clinton took it from her, it didn't make any noise and he thought it was broken or something, which is why he handed it off and went back to clapping.

    They weren't formed in America the band had several different lineups before Lindsey and Stevie joined in 1974. The band was actually formed in London in 1967 and is considered a British-American band. Fleetwood Mac was formed by Peter Green (guitar) Mick Fleetwood (drummer) and John McVie (bass) and it was a very successful Blues band in the UK. Christine McVie joined in 1971 and the band moved to LA in 1974 and later that year Buckingham/Nicks joined. The rest is history

      @Andrew Flowers lol Michael Jackson is NOT 6’1”, he’s 5’9”, and thats WELL documented. He’s really not standing evenly with Stevie Nicks when he first walks up, who by the way is 5’1,” he’s standing more evenly with Bill Clinton who is 6’2”. Then at the point where he stands in between them, you can see his height is somewhere in the middle of theirs, with Stevie’s hat adding a little visual height for her. It’s not an imposter, but even if it was, their height is still around 5’9” just like his.

    My favorite part of the video is whenever Lindsey gets too into it with his guitar and they pan over to Christine and she's just staring at him like, "Calm down, Lindsey... The president is literally right over there."

    what's amazing is that this is a rusty fleetwood mac...it had been a while since they were together...politics are a joke because all the hope and Clinton ultimately is a buffoon and just how much remains to be seen If the broad in jail snitches...so politics aside...this is a stellar performance, and I never watch Lindsey solo during any song without thinking to myself what a truly unique and awesome guitarist he is

    Stevie looks at least 10 years older than Lindsey here. He ages so well!

      I recall stevie getting ripped for her obvious weight gain after this performance . Weight Will age you. Stevie had some drug issues as well. Luckily for the fans Stevie got it together bck to her gorgeous self and the band toured again Sadly Stevie & Lindsey had differences and Lindsey was booted in 2019. Now that Christine mcvie has died we will never see these 5 together again RIP Christine
