- Working with different Operator layers for Hihats and drums in general is opening up endless possibilities. In this video I show you how you can approach crafting exquisit overtones for your Hihats. With this technique you will be able to design classic hihats but also very unique ones which you didn't hear before. 👾
Great stuff!! If you do another video, I’d love to see one on how you program/mix low end 🙂
That's a great way to synthesize percussive sounds, i never even considered breaking down the sounds into their core elements like this in order to create them. This give me big inspiration to create my own sounds
Lovely! Thanks a lot for watching :)
I really like how this takes a single element and breaks it down into its parts which can then be independently controlled for more variation and modulation options
Aw thanks for your words and for watching 🌸
I never knew you could add operators to drum rack!
Yes, you can add any synth :) thanks for watching ✨
Great video thanks! One fun thing to remember when synthesizing realistic sounds is that higher overtone frequencies tend to decay faster than lower frequencies.
Yes that‘s a good point :)
Great tutorial! Been diving deeper into synthesizing my own drum samples after using mostly drum breaks for years, and hihats are next on my list, so this is perfect and I'll be trying this method next!
Amazing, happy to serve ⚡️
The difference in sound quality of synthesizing V samples is evident. Excellent video and clearly explained 👍
Thanks for watching 🌸

Great sound design video! Thank you. The way you are doing this gives me ideas about how to approach sound design even beyond hats.
Lovely! Thanks a lot for tuning in, happy that this inspired you :)
Oh thnks for the harmonics idea, brings the whole new rabbit hole to explore
Haha amazing :) thanks for popping by!
Nice! The fine time control you get with a drum rack rather than an instrument rack is clever.
