I'm from Taiwan. In Taiwan, there are various night markets, food stores, bars... Even if Taiwanese don't go out at night. Most of them watch TV or spend time on the mobile phone. Taiwanese usually sleep late. So they need to take a nap to cope with the works in the afternoon.

Hello, Jennifer.😊 Giraffenap looks bizarre to me, because I've never heard of such a vertical pod. I don't think it's getting common here in Japan.
However, I agree with the idea of "power nap", which I suppose could definitely boost productivity and efficiency. I hear many Japanese working people suffer from a lack of sleep. I'd say they could use one for sure.
That reminds me. I watched a news about a high school before, which adopted "Nap Time" after lunch. The students take a nap just sitting at their desks, which I assume could prevent them from falling asleep during the following classes.
    I love taking a nap. Nap Time❗😴 Thanks a ton.🥳😺

Nap time!! Actually I prefer to take my power-nap on the couch during the day. The same as yours, there is no positive view for having power-nap at work in my country as well. Tolerating that Giraffenap pod needs to be extremely fatigue in order to grab some such an upright shuteye at work otherwise it could be a torture, I think.
As usual, you are amazing. God bless you.❤🙏

I work at a hotel from 8am to 4pm. Unfortunately, I only have a small breaktime for almost 20 min, I wish If I could have another short break for a power nap because I always feel so sleepy in the mid of the afternoon, which in result, reduces my energy not only for the remining time of the work, but it also makes me less active and feel lazy and tired after work, so I can't enjoy the rest of my day.

Vertical Pod -Nap? Opinions will be divided because the idea is artificial, but not stupid. on the one hand, it is a very modern, forward-looking idea, on the other hand, it may be dangerous for us, because no one knows what the consequences will be if we use it in our lives. Time will tell. Klaus Schwab's book The Fourth Industrial Revolution is recommended to read here ..,.... Co

Hi, Jennifer! I really enjoy your lessons. I’m japanese and this news, I feel, is very Japanese. Japan is a small island with many mountains, so we don’t have much space to live, even though the population is over 100 million. Therefore, we always think about 'how to live comfortably in a narrow space' and 'how to make this small space feel larger.' The concept of this small, tall, vertical pod must be related to the way of thinking we are accustomed to. We don't have a nap custom, but I sometimes lay my head down on a desk in the office for 5-10 minutes after lunch if I cannot get rid of sleepiness at all.

It is designed for a Power Nap not a deep sleep. So, I believe that it was a good idea , of course not bizarre concept, to come up with this design. They are mostly likely to consider all aspects of ergonomics. So, you wouldn’t feel uncomfortable to have a short nap in public as it seems that it can be covered.
