Illustrator focuses on heavy designs, but the day to day basis, in general, Coreldraw is the best. Simple and quick.

In my opinion, Illustrator is best for print work. Coreldraw is best for stuff like sign making.

Illustrator is compulsion (like iPhone) while CorelDraw is user-friendly. the wind supports Illustrator because of its strategy. Agencies and design houses are supposed to buy adobe kits for their multipurpose work. So they hire people who know illustrator. they create artificial demand in the market. But it will not work for a long time.
CorelDraw uses all the basic concepts of designs and is user-friendly.

I've used coreldraw for many years, however being dissapointed with the more recent changes to photopaint, i have stepped back to 2020 version, as i feel PP is going downhill, not improving, i mean Give it a white point tool if you desire to improve it, that we have in MANY lesser programs, but the recent changes made detract from it, so i am learning PS, which i never liked, but DO really like the many gold text effects which i CANNOT edit even although i can bring them into corel, this issue along with Adobe's very useful colorize B&W photo, i also really like & have decided to become more familiar with general use pf PS, so it's not trial & error for me, & i'm quite liking & impressed with it, & ALL this was just to say, i had contemplated learing illustrator, BUT after watching your video, NOPE:) I'm sticking with the fantastic coreldraw & can only hope they don't ruin photopaint It could Really be improved by incorperating a few ideas from Exposure X7, which i really like, mainly a good white point tool

I use illustrator didn't used corel draw in years but what i like about CDR is it's very user friendly , sometimes doing simple things is a mess in illustrator, why don't it implement those from corel draw ?

How did you switch from coreldraw to illustrator? I've been using coreldraw for the past 10 years and it's really hard switching to illustrator.

@@artsoftdesigns I'm not sure exactly. I originally went from FlexiSign to Corel and leaned Corel in just a couple of days since the UI is very similar to Flexi but then I decided to play around Adobe and I'd say within a couple of weeks, I got the hang of it and I have loved it ever since. Most graphic designers I've talked to said they wouldn't ever go back to Corel but Corel is pretty good for most file types and designing logos for like screen printing and sign making. Adobe does that every well but it is really overkill for most people.

illustrator is great at tracing, object styling, and exporting formats but sucks at overall productivity. Illustrator has a bad interface (it's a beautiful interface but it's not functional) the administration of fills is a mess of tools and windows, there are several windows to manage the color but each of these windows has different functions making the didactic arbitrary; the basic functions of transforming and editing primitive geometric shapes such as slicing ellipse, distorting and mirroring objects are not practical in illustrator, the key shortcuts are extremely limited while in corel draw you have freedom in 95% of the keyboard keys including up to 4 keys (minus F-keys). corel draw has many tools related to image editing, b-spline highlights can crop images better than any adobe tool, RGB tone curve, RGB calibration, RGB contrast saturation matrix, real-time photo transparency. illustrator is a beautiful adobe tool stuck in a past of bad habits. note: i have no criticisms of adobe photoshop because adobe photoshop is the best photographic tool on the market but illustrator is lagging behind in terms of geometric productivity and basic photographic editing, which should work superficially with technical drawings and images in the same PDF file encapsulation.

I have Corel 2020 which I can no longer use, so all money was wasted!
I upgraded my computer which I had to transfer Corel to, but after installation it won't let me agree to terms & conditions, so I can't use the software. I've called Corel numerous times, but they only give me runaround and offer zero help. They say they'll return my call but never once did, or they transfer me to departments that never once answered, and they claim they're 24/7 but that's a flat out lie, they will ignore phone calls or answer with silence...not to mention the CS sounds like they're outsourced to India.
I liked the idea of having the software to own and not require a subscription, but it seems that's not realistic, unfortunately. Once the program hits a snag, Corel has already collected their purchase cost so they don't care what your software issue is.
I don't necessarily want to, but I will be switching to Adobe due to the complete lack of Corel customer service. And luckily Adobe can import Corel files, so I've heard.

it is illegal to use cracked software

@@projetos.comunica I bought it directly an authorized Corel distributor, so I don't think it's cracked. The issue is Corel won't help me with outdated software because they want me to purchase the updated version.

Yesterday, I visited their sale page and noticed that their purchase options are very limited, outdated, and not user-friendly.This is not a sustainable sales strategy.

Why are people comparing illustrator to coreldraw when they're either doing life-like artwork or working with images?? Thats what photoshop is for, not illustrator
