This video made me a little nervous. You’re saying that you must be using the trademark prior to filing a trademark or at least file an intent to use the trademark. But it sounds like that didn’t matter when it came to the brand “ Sknn +” because they already trademarked the name ( not legally) but they were using it. It sounds like they would have had to go back and forth with Kim even though they were clearly already using it for a product with their business.
I’m going to definitely file a 1b “ intent to use” so no one else takes my business name. Thank you for the info.

I filed TM on 1B intent to use months ago and will launch in next couple months. Nail biting! If denied, I’ve wasted BIG money in USPTO fees and labels, branding!! My course instructor said if denied, discontinue use of name. Can you imagine having to REBRAND your entire company if TM rejected?!? 😰
Hi, quick question. Did you have to pay a fee for the 1b “ intent to use” application?
I hope your course instructor also explained to you how to do a thorough clearance search before you submitted the application! Cause that's really the best way to prevent having to rebrand and wasting all that money. Good luck with the TM!

Watched about a dozen already 😁👌🏻 I have a question if you haven't covered it yet: will applying for a state trademark at the same time as a federal trademark cause any problems? Planning for interstate commerce but we aren't there just yet. Will getting a state trademark for the same name cause any conflicts with the approval of the USPTO trademark?

Hi I just saw this video for the grace of holy God like you say in the video I say that because I just contact a lawyer to do my tm application and just saw you what a coincidence rigth well I have my llc but I didn't in the public yet because still some staff I need to get done but my question is do I need to do this before I star saving and showing my brand to the world or I should wait ? Question for example virgin group has the logo that they use for all there subsidiaries virgin air and virgin mobile does virgin group own the virgin logo or each subsidiary owns it own logo? Also what if you have a partner in one of the subsidiaries do they have a right to the logo too that is being used on other businesses like virgin for example if I created Virgin and did a joint venture to make virgin media does the person I’m doing a joint venture with have access to virgin group just from using the logo? Or say if I started abc holdings and the abc part I wanted to use on every other subsidiary like abc real estate abc media abc investments etc do I trademark the holding company or just the individual subsidiaries that’s using the main abc name?
I registered my trademark and logo in my state, it was approved. I haven’t launched yet bc I have been trying to figure out the USPTO application. Can I still file and intent to use application am I protected enough to launch and print with me being registered in my state?
