- It was a momentous match for Samoa who pushed New Zealand all the way in Apia. The Siva Tau v Haka was a fitting start to such a fierce encounter.

I love both. I can only imagine the conflict that our Samoan boys that play for the All Blacks face when they have to play against their brothers.
FlyHigh why? they're representing the country they grew up in. they could have chosen to play for samoa but didnt
donkey dribble. its not only that. Most times for a boy from the islands , the opportunity to make big money for their families is bigger than Country loyalties. eg Fekitoa , Naholo. And the AllBlacks are legendary , to play for the AllBlacks is to tell the world that YOU are one of the best . Theirs always a yearning to play for your homeland of blood , Ma'a Nonu wanted to play for Samoa when he was young. Its like a job offer , if you're offered more somewhere else and doing the same thing( job ) , you'd be foolish not to consider.

Not because of the nationality, I've never heard of a Samoan that has helped me out in life, its just we know the culture that's all

It's so awesome to watch all of our Polynesian families doing either their Haka from New Zealand, or their Siva from Samoa, and the Chants from Hawai'i, beautifully well done chicken skin. I hope to 1 day visit either countries Aloha Mai Kakou, mai ka'i.

The difference is when the Samoan team does their war dance, it just looks like they're repeating steps they've memorized and can't wait till its over. When the "All Blacks" do the Haka, most of them look like they are performing with conviction, like they are connecting to spirit. So the Haka was clearly way better than the Siva Tau.
You know nothin about the Samoans heritage and the Siva Tau at all.
Haka and sipi tau is displaying of culture...gone were the days of wars your war dance tells what have you achieved...stay humble!

Polynesian migration paths lead all the way back to anywhere from the 800's to 1400's, though likely descended from older traditions I don't know the origin points of.
