Ben getting the gameboy under the street light like that was so perfect like that was truly a hivemind shared experience moment
I wonder how much of their audience shares that experience as well. I didn't think of streetlights, but lamplight at night, but I have absolutely experienced that as well at one point.
I remember the street lights, but also how the sun glare would make it impossible to see.
My first handheld was the Advance SP, so no struggling with light for me. I even secretly played in bed under the covers.
I was a DS guy so I didn't share the same experience
@@Jontman42 To be fair, you could do that with previous models as well... it just often involved creating a "fire hazard" in the form of a lamp or something in there with you xD
Now we really need a Yogs operation game. You remove the Harpoon in the stomach, the Parasite in the brain and the peas up the nose.
And scoop the oil into the arse
And the oil from the ass
And the oil from…
@@lequinow The hands?
Well we have the pooned shark, you just need a pea
"monetized incompetence" really should be the tagline for the yogscast
You've heard of Benga, now get ready for Lewperation.
Everyone made an Easy Bake Oven, except Rythian.
Being Nordic, he had to make it more death metal, so he built a 20th century British suicide device.
Lewis losing it about baby body sent me! lolol
11:35 Rythian making the most out-of-left-field old school callback. Look up Lewis and Simon's old Dead Island series and watch the episode called "Hat Boy" if you want the hilarious context.
Thanks!
I mean lewis has played hat boy in the last few jingle jams as well
@@atomknight8361 thats wheel boy
Surprisingly good game, it's not exceptional but I still had fun with the OG Dead Island.
@@atomknight8361wheel boy isn't related
I love that Simon's heart was in his stomach.
A result of the operation or the reason he needs one? 🤔
The way to a mans heart after all. Nothing wrong.
@@CoreyKaha I wonder if that was supposed to be funny.
@@DerekHartley it was
You know what I love about the Rythian Lazy Bake Microwave? It's so easy to buy, it's always in stock, because they have TONS OF UNITS.
1:25 "If you have to ask, you don't know" Right, Ben, that's why I'm asking: Because I don't know
If you know, you know
If you have to ask then you can’t afford it - some shark
Reminds me of those videos from Sarah's TikTok's that make no sense and she doesn't explain them nor does anyone else.
The falling silo suddenly swapping to Elon Musk with glowing red eyes is one I remember. i think there was one another year with a random Elon Musk too.
BOBA
34:58 ♫ I AM A DWARF AND I'M FUCKING DEAD! ♫
I'd love to see Simon's reaction to Lewis's Operation interpretation.
Boba putting the Horse for the "Charley horse" on the Operation board was do good!😂
What _is_ Charley horse?
Ben's gameboy response was perfect.
Ball in a cup, Mexico's favorite toy for 300 years
I mean the tricks you can do with them are pretty wild
This is true
Lewis thinking of the yogscast as Simon is so sweet, even if he murdered him horribly
"A shark in a man suit"
Well that needs to be a variant of Ben's TTT skin now.
that actual did exist in his old TTT model
@@haydencamp4276 I know of the "man in a shark suit", but haven't seen a "shark in a man suit" yet.
Rythian’s oven was an “Emo-bake” oven

buy the new EA Trains Season Pass for £15 per month. by completing in-game tasks you can unlock progress towards a new section of track each month, allowing virtually unlimited creativity and customisation, as well as exclusive access to the premium skin store to allow you to express yourself your way (skins cost £39.98 each)

E A Trains, it's in your imagination
Oh god. Do people not remember the EA Games intro from games anymore?
@@TheT4Gz Of course we do but we can also make jokes about it
That Gameboy round was the most impressive series of builds they've had yet. Incredible jobs all around.
27:15 - what, no! Nilesy got the spelling *right*! It is Scalextric! Y'all owe him an apology!
They criticized that he added an extra “s” to it. He had an extra at the end
BOBAS BACK!
❤
From Florida
But more importantly DUNCAN'S BACK!
It's good for the soul, seeing Boba back!
@@boba69hope you're doing well bobee
My favourite yogscast member is the sleep paralysis demon breaking through the wall they made no mention of.
Monetized incompetence really sums up the Yogscast business framework lmao
That Nilesy gameboy was awesome
the boba lewis operation build is great, the body of lewis made me think of a raw chicken xD with just a lewis head ontop
As a kid me and my cousin took turns setting up Scalextric while the other was out of the room, he didn't get how they worked so he had track all over like jumping off a end table onto the floor. There was like 5 brakes in the track so nothing was connected. Kid me wanted my 30 minuets of waiting back but I think its a funny story worth the wait now. Type 2 fun as Duncan would put it.
I had the deluxe accessory kit that had a screen-sized magnifying glass, a bright light, and opening-wing speakers. It required 2 AA batteries. Good times!
Night time car rides were that much more bearable when I could train my pokemon in the back seat with those!
Not gonna lie; i quite like that third Optimus build.
14:14 Amazing witty answer
Nilsey really spoke to me with the whole trepanning thing, i get chronic headaches so i think about it all the time
I think Boba missed a trick putting the arrow in Lewis's elbow instead of in his knee, but otherwise that build was fantastic!
Boba effectively built Diaclone with the Steve head as the piolot. XD
Omggggg nilesy's capatiller train is adorable!!! 🥹
10:02 idk why but the cut to this made me burst out laughing
My Easy Bake stuff was always cooked, when it actually made it into the oven without being eaten first. Pre-2003 they used 1-2 100 watt incandescent bulbs which yes, can get more than hot enough to cook food. I can't speak to any of them after that year though since they came out with models that didn't use bulbs.
So if someone say, used a weaker bulb in one of the 70s-90s ovens by mistake or by not knowing any better yeah, it might not get hot enough. A majority of home lighting bulbs around those times ran from around 40-75 watts. 100s were super bright, up to 1,600 lumens and generally only used for very large rooms or outdoors. And keep in mind incandescent bulbs generally output most of that energy into heat rather than light.
33:53 "WHY HAVE I GOT A BABY BODY?!?!" A-tier Lewis rant. Not quite S-tier, not long enough for that, but it's up there.
I love that this, their best, most consistent episode of gartic phone yet, is just them reliving childhood wonder. (and disappointment.) It feels very yogscast in a great way.
I love how you can see how they get better at building during all the gartic phone videos!
American version of scalextrics is slot cars.
It was slot cars here in New Zealand too. And they weren't advertised as a children's toy. In fact, they specifically stated that it was not a toy. Probably because you could potentially start a fire with them. I had them as a kid and yeah holding the trigger down you would get sparks and the smell of burning. It was great.
Thank you! That was driving me crazy I couldn't remember the name for them here.
ugh, anyone else feel incredibly old now? that game boy under the light was brilliant!
"The Yogscast : Monetised Incompetence" Docu-Series Coming Soon to Netflix.
lol Duncan is so right Hot wheels is a whole other thing and Lewis making the correct toy is funny. Though now I wonder if Hot Wheels ever made those zoomy cars with their own branding.
Lewis at least had the right reason for guessing it lol. He knew that the majority of the cast that would have made this prompt are older and so would be more likely to be Scalextric instead of hot wheels. Also idk how common hot wheels were in the UK compared to Scalextric which may have been another factor. Either way he had reasonable reason for going the route he did.
Hot Wheels was my shit in the early 2000s and I still remember the pain that was having a car launch through the like rollers straight into your finger. I wish I wasnt so destructive with my play because some of those cars looked real cool and I ruined them :((
They did make Hot Wheels slot cars, quite often with formula 1 Grand Prix style cars. Smaller scale and not as good quality as Scalextric.
Oh hey Duncan’s back
I was worried for him, I hadn't seen him in a video in forever!
I’m so glad they replaced Tom with him since Tom is in everything now
Ben's and Boba's Gameboys without backlight were absolute brilliance. Made me jump back to when I was a kid, struggling to play in the car on family trips. So good.
Sceletrixs or whatever you call them brings back memories. :D I must have had 2~3 sets and I remember there used to be a small toy store that sold the cars separately - and they had special cars that had faster engines. Also my best friend was into electronics (electrical engineer nowadays) and we managed to borrow AC adapter from a trainset and wire it into the car track. I think the car was like 12v and adapter from trains 24v... Regardless, definitely small cars going very very fast and flying off ramps.
4:50 Well, yes and no. The human skeleton is *already* an endoskeleton, because it's inside of the muscles and skin. But with all the parallels they're making to suits of armor and mech suits I think the term Ben is looking for is exoskeleton, which would be hard plating on the outside
43:13 That's one of the default skins, and one of the new default skins at that, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was someone who bought an account back in like 2011, stopped playing, and so never updated their skin to the new version when they added slim arms and didn't migrate their account after the Microsoft buyout. I'd suggest maybe the account doesn't even exist, but I'm pretty sure that gives a Steve head every time.
Duncan's interactive Scalextric was so good!
a ghost, piloting a mech made of bone, with a layer of meat armor.
The transformer prompt unlocked a memory for me oh my gosh. I was the first in my class to have a skip it, those one leg jump ropes. But I had one before they were those popular purple ones with the ribbons. So I'd show up to school with my red ring and yellow bell and still get teased for having "the wrong one" even though I had it first.
I had two sisters and not alot of money so we almost always got the offbrands of things. So yeah, definitely very nostalgic prompt for me! xD
The fact that Lewis still sees Yogscast as 'Simon' rather then him reminds me of why he started the channel in the first place (to share Simon with the world apparently)
This was the best one in a while, loved the trip down memory lane
I so wanted tamagotchi but I got them talking about birthday suits never change yogs
yay so happy to see boba ! hope she’s doing okay ❤
❤ doing the best I can
@@boba69you got this ❤
As soon as Boba joked about imagination, I heard the voice of Pyrion's John Bovril character in my head complaining about the kids these days wi' thur bloomin' videogames wreakin' 'avoc wi' thur thumbs, what were wrong wi' a stick'n'oop?
man this took me back, in the car with a gameboy that was around 1992 for me (12).
Did anyone else have K'Nex?
I had a k'nex ferris wheel!
YES!! I built so many things. My fave parts were those motors for cars and stuff. Although I did have one sweet roller coaster set. I remember breaking so many pieces over the years. God I miss them sometimes.
The combination of pure nostalgia and realization how old I am during the GameBoy section of the video was very bittersweet lol
That “Optimus prime” head Duncan made is actually a default model. The new default skins are pretty easy to swap to if you don’t know how to make or steal new skins
Can’t wait for yogscast themed operation
The cut from raw whole chicken Lewis to Simon's brutalized deformed corpse perfectly describes them tbh.
14:25 I regret not buying a house when I was 3 years old after the 2008 market crash
Don't know about Rythian's, but I would 100% get a Sips branded microwave
Probably the most wholesome one so far 😊
I can never not laugh about Gobots coming first but then getting overshadowed by Transformers so much that Gobots got absorbed into Transformers.
Everyone else: nice yellow background, simple pliers and light up nose. Lewis: time to break out a Simon clone.
I'm much younger than most of them but playing my gameboy advanced in the dark in the car by street light. Living in a very rural state never felt so bad.
You’re piloting a bone mech that’s using meat armor!
may this series never end
This episode is so sweet
I love the shared Gameboy memory, I have the same one. I remember getting the Gameboy SP and it CHANGED EVERYTHING.
Duncan's bitcoin story is EXACTLY my bitcoin story... My half a bitcoin is in a landfill somewhere, cause my harddrive died before bitcoin ever went anywhere and I just threw it out T__T
How is it even possible that Duncan resisted creating a completely nude Lewis in the Operation build?
You guys had fun with this one
every time they mention rythian the chair it makes me wish ikea and a blue chair called the rythian
I'm young enough to have gotten a Gameboy sp. And even though it has built in lights I still have that shared memory of playing a game between streetlights because I would turn the light off when I knew the battery wouldn't last
The Gameboy Advance SP? Did you have the super omega cool tribal one or the normal one? 😎
@@Dewi-H Didn't know that existed. I just had the silver one
so many good builds here! love i!
So Angel’s Advocate is not just a thing, but a business too. 😂 A Marci Segal brought it up in 2001.
This is one of my favorite ones yet, everything was so goooood! (Except poor Simon)
For me, a old dude and longtime yogscast viewer this has become my favorite series ❤
the rat is back!! lets goooooo!!!
I have memories of the electric race car track thing. My favorite cat necklace hit the track and melted the tail off.... D:
Transformers: Robots in these guys.
Lol, xD I knew exactly what rythian ment with that prompt lol.
This was incredibly consistent
Yeah they all honestly stayed true to the original prompt and it made it's way through for every single one....except the easybake oven that Rythian turned into a boring microwave at the end.
I feel like this was the video with the highest build quality so far!
39:23 Wanting an ipod but getting a zune
29:20 Really? Light colored stairs for a cow catcher, hopper chimney, deepslate for an engine main body with glass with a slab or pressure plate on top for the cab.
Probably one of the best sessions. Amazing builds all the way through (except Rythian's microwave 😆)
Gotta say, rare Nilesy L with his crusade against filling
Yippeeeeee! Boba in the house :)
When you think about it we’re all just brains piloting flesh mechs
I love how the older generation, Ben, puts "hot wheels" and the newer generation puts scaleltrics
3:20 zylus is spectating o.O
He didnt want to wait like the rest of us to watch smh my head
24:04 Rythian doesn't realize they're talking about the tinted glass being slightly purple because it's made with amethyst and not about the concrete.
18:25 I feel so vindicated right now.
I really like everyone in these videos typically, but can I just say Nilesy's inclusion has been shining. He's so positive, his energy is good and he funny.
edit: "didnt invest in my retirement" i mean cmon you gotta love this guy
Hey no hate on swingball, I love that shit 😂
core memory remembered
Wow the memories.
