Such a great vlog! The pink wig is my favourite although they all look amazing and very fun. Especially love the pink with those dungarees. Your mum in law's garden is so fantastic!! The tulips are so beautiful. Also very nice to see Lola again ❤️ x
I loved the purple wig. Your super powers are truth, warmth and positivity. The Japanese book sounds so good. Lovely garden. Your MIL has created a beautiful sanctuary. Much love to you. xx
All of the wigs are great but I love the green one! Such a fantastic colour and the cut suits you too. Superpower is tough to decide though, maybe teleportation - you wouldn't need to bother with the Tube 😊
You look lovely in the wigs! Even though the wigs are colourful and whimsical, I was surprised that it took almost no time to stop focusing on the wig and just see your beautiful face - the whole is truly more than the sum of its parts.
You have me intrigued with beneath the skin. I have a lot of feelings about crime and true crime as someone who has lost loved ones to homicide and if it can be done in a way that doesn’t trivialize it. On a lighter note I really love the wigs! And your mother in laws garden is incredible ❤️
I haven't read Nicci French books before, but as you and Lauren and David rate them,I was really pleased to find a copy of The lying room for £1 in my charity shop this week 😀
I thought of a cool idea for a video. Video that are about people's favorite books don't stand the test of time, because people's favorite books change as the years go by. I thought of the idea 5 notable books that introduced you the joy of reading on your reading journey. Thanks
My opinion on disability in the context of covid from France: 1. I have not been at work since October, which is nice because it protects me but abandoned aside is also the feeling. 2. whenever I come back, my adaptations will no longer be available because of covid 3. despite being on immunosuppressants, I'm too young to have access to vaccination, abandoned as if no one cared?
Such an enjoyable video, Jen. The books, the wigs, the lemon meringue pie, the calm and beautiful segment in Mr M's mother's garden, Lola - a very good start to the day for me (in Australia). I saw you in some of the wigs on Instagram and really like the different looks, especially with your porcelain complexion. Thanks for all the effort you put into your channel!
Love the wigs. They all look great but I think the Lilac "unicorn" one is my favourite. It really suits you. They're all fun. Also working my way through as many Nicci French books as I can get hold of from the library.
OMG I absolutely love the colored wigs! I'm terrible with wigs myself... I bought a Harley Quinn wig last year and I couldn't style it for the life of me haha
Such a lovely video! Your videos are always so cozy. For some reason, the name "Deborah" popped in my head when I saw the blonde wig, so I'll offer that as an option. :) The purple and pink ones feel the most like "you" out of the five. And poor Lola; no lemon meringue pie for you darling!!
Lola is so cute 😍I’ve noting more constructive to say really oh no wait I agree with you on the emotionally expensive thing about reading books on disability while having one yourself. I’m reading growing up disabled in Australia at the moment and honestly one essay a day is all I can manage: it’s excellent but so emotional to constantly be thinking I feel like that to I’ve cried. But yeah Lola is gorgeous and the Pink wig is my fav
Thank you very much for creating this vlog (indeed all of your vlogs, for I find them simply splendid). The green wig is indeed very Marvel - Polaris springs to mind, with that colour. It also reminds me of a mint sorbet I once had in Rome, but that's by the by. I had completely forgotten about that Richard Armitage show, which might have been a blessing in disguise. I hope that you have as marvellous a week as possible.
I am considering a wig since my remaining hair won't (like absolutely refuses to) cover my alopecia, which of course had to be on the top of my head. This video was helpful. Thank you 😁
The colourful wigs work really well. I honestly did not think they would but I have been proved wrong. And now they're my favourite :) You should take a picture in them among the tulips.
Your super power? It would definitely be venturing into books to hear wise advice from characters... or maybe even being able to bring them to our world so they can help you in your mission ☺
Earlier I was catching up on a couple of your previous videos and afterward thought "hm, I think Jen said there'd be a new video up today, wonder if it's up" and it wasn't...and of course once I started a new task a couple minutes later I saw the notification pop up on my phone. 😆 I love the fun colored wigs! And I'm excited for your next video - I also have a lot of thoughts about disability in the current moment and I suspect most of them are similar to yours.
Lonely Castle in the Sky sounds really interesting! I'll try and see if I can borrow it. Yes, we all admit we watched The Stranger because Richard Armitage was in it, I watched that and Berlin Station after I watched North and South. How did you like North and South?! PS Your pink wig is awesome (I know you chose not to go with the blonde wig, but your expression at 2:38 brings me joy).
Ok. LOVE the pink one it looks so great. I feel like the superpower of the green one would be cleaning pollution from rivers and lakes? Random but I could see you dealing with algal blooms with that with an enormous mystical hoover.
I own 15 synthetic wigs and they are my best friends lol synthetic wigs are better than human hair cause other than washing them they take no care at all and the caps are not as hot I think as I’ve gotten older the shorter styles suit me better. I have learned to find a wig shop nearby and trying them on first is best also they will usually cut them (bangs) for free if you purchase them good luck with your journey
I love the wigs as fashion statements. The pale purple one is my favourite with the pink coming in a very close second. Pastels suite you quite well. If you have the blonde one still laying around, would you consider following one of Jaymes Mansfield's wig tutorials? It would really only be worth doing if you could find a use for a very over the top wig look but it could be a lot of fun.
I love the colourful wigs, especially the coral one. Perhaps a superpower of finding a relatively empty Tube carriage whenever you travel? Or is that too far-out?
I have Alopecia Universalis and I own a very expensive and realistic wig made of natural hair so it's a sensitive subject for me. I don't want people to know that I don't have hair. But I love to see you play with those colorful wigs, it's so wholesome ! I want to do that too, I might buy a "unicorn" one like you ! Love from France ❤️
Oh absolutely, I completely understand why you would want to do that, everyone’s experience is different. I think my lack of wanting to pass is also because I have other physical differences, which means that even if I did wear a realistic wig, I still wouldn’t “pass“ for non-disabled, so * shrug * ☺️ I’ve linked to some people in the description box down below who I went to for wig research, I am always so in love with Jo’s wigs and how realistic they look. If you don’t already follow her, I recommend it x
@@jenvcampbell thank you so much for your answer ! Yes, our experiences are totally different but it's nice to see this topic from another perspective ! I love the internet for that 😉 when it's about sharing different experiences and raising awareness like on your channel ❤️ Thank you for the recommendations !
Completly random question, but now i'm curious. Do writing sizes vary in different countries? As you showed the writing size, and said that it's very small, i found it pretty average, for books in german. I noticed that the size in 'The Beginning of the World in the Middle of the Night' looked rather "large", but never thought, if it was due to it being english? 🤔
It depends on whether or not it’s a mass-market paperback (smaller format, smaller font), a trade paperback (larger format, larger font), or other different formats. Size varies a lot in the UK. Smaller fonts are most common in classics where they are trying to cut back on costs (ie paper) and perhaps also to make larger classics look less intimidating by being shorter 😂
@@jenvcampbell oh that makes sense, somehow never thought about the paper saving aspect on mass market, even though it's obvious 😅. Well the english Originals, are more detailed and beautiful in most of the cases anyway. For me personally, i have no problem at all with a book being large, but the tiny sizing with some books, esp. classics, is much more off putting and exhausting 🙄
I was about to say you should die your blonde wig purple as soon as I saw it... then you bought the colourful wigs 😍 (I'm a big fan of colourful hair!)
My daughter has the complete form of alopecia. She’s completely bald all over. Try lace front wigs. There is a hairstylist that works wonders on women who has alopecia. She on UA-cam. Her name is Crystal and her site is Elite Hair Care.

The blond wig may be just a bit too long and glamorous (and serious). Couldn't you make it into kind of a 'Blondie' haircut, a bit like what you have now, with a blunt bob and and (shorter) bangs? I think if it were a bit edgier, it would look awesome on you. Lola is so cute. Edit: of course I did not mean to say that you should wear it if you don't feel good in it. But since you invested in it already, you might make it work for you if the mood strikes you. ;)
The pink one with white t-shirt and dark rose coloured dungarees, looks punkish and bohemian at the same time
The lavender wig with the makeup, glasses, and hat/scarf looks amazing! *Almost* as adorable as Lola.
I agree!
Your wigs are fabulous Jen, you look great both with and without them. The fact you have the best hats in the world will never change!
Loving the pink one, especially the way it sticks out at an angle! Young and fun and kooky 🙃
Lola’s snort was so on point 😂 I’m so happy you’re showing your lovely and gorgeous wigs! 💕
