When Skinny said that they were going back to an old school feel, he didn't mean like how they sounded on XIII but how they sounded on Self Titled, Superbuick, and M3.
This is Awesome. This song is the BOMB. I'm so glad the new record is coming. I see everyone bitching about the hip-hop elements to this. They must have never heard the 1st three albums or XX.
This song is a tip of the hat to old school Mushroomhead. It's unfortunate that it would seem that there are more then a few people who don't get that this is pure fan service and I guarantee it'd be a lot of fun for them to perform live.
yeah since jmann left the sound totally changed beautiful stories for ugly children was not one of the best albums they created . Shmotz isnt or hasnt made any really stand out piano solo's which to me was a distinguished sound. this is an old school sound, with old school raps a sound i've missed
***** The original comment's wording makes it seem as if the entirety of Mushroomhead has been missing when, in reality, only Jmann was missing. I'll agree that they are much better off now that Jmann is back, but I still enjoyed Savior Sorrow & B.S.F.U.C. because they're still Mushroomhead albums albeit not the best albums by any means.
Nice to see J Mann returning they lost something when he left glad they kept Waylon too. Definitely going to be interesting to hear all three. Looking forward to this big time.
Have you heard the first three albums? Because they're a lot like this. I'm talking before XIII. They're known for having some rap elements in their music.
Kenny Fiorisi Just because it has "rap elements" doesn't mean it sounds like the first three albums. Because it doesn't. I'm not going to judge the album until I can hear the whole thing, trying new sounds is something I highly respect. But this really sounds nothing like their old stuff. Nor does it sound like their middle stuff (referring to XX and XIII here).
the earlier stuff DID have rap elements in fact metal bands in the 90s had rap elements cus that was the main style in the 90s: korn, mrh, slipknot, soad, papa roach etc.
it is mushroomhead you probably just deaf. and if your such a fan of old school go listen to the old school simple as that. you think a bands gonna stay the SAME forever your sadly mistaken
When I heard this song i was pissed....yeah I know MRH has rap elements in old school...but anyways - I'm listening to the leaked album and just want to say that those that don't like this song - fear not. The MRH you love is still here. Oh - and I'm buying this album before I get flamed for listening to leaked stuff. I couldn't help it , the anticipation was killing me.
I recommend that you don't listen to this through crappy speakers and listen to it with a good pair of headphones where you can hear each instrument perfectly. hearing Tommy's riffs and Ryan's sick bass lines will make you forget about the lyrics because Tommy and Ryan are that damn good at what they do.
Reminds me a bit of Corporate Avenger with a circus of dead squirrels twist. Kinda funky, but I disagree that this is like their older stuff. Hatrix was a lot different than this.
I think this song is one of their fuck around, bullshit, have a good time songs. It has that "let's just do the damn thing" feel to it. From what I can tell, the other songs sound more serious and on point. If they aren't having fun making the record and writing the songs, then there is no point in them putting it out. I believe that's why this song exists. Jason is one of the top lyricists I've seen. He just had fun with this one. This is the bone in the steak. Give the meat a chance.
What the fuck is with u ppl havin to try n compare this song with old stuff, its a new song, a new album & so far it is fuckin awsome! Cant wait for yas to come back to australia!!
J Man is good, but Waylon Reavis is better at what he does. Honestly they just need to get rid of Jeffrey Nothing, he's worthless. They need J Man as vocals, and Waylon and backup vocals, totally eliminate JN from Mushroomhead. I'm sorry, but this album will most likely suck. Savior Sorrow was their last good album.
It's pretty shitty. This band peaked in 2000. Pretty much down hill from there. I've been in Cleveland my whole life and have been attending Shroom shows since 93 and Hatrix shows way before that. Does that warrant a credible review? Its just bad. The new guys are fanboy hired stooges. Good musicians. Just cornballs. It is what it is I guess. Now go check out Ringworm and leave this mess behind.
I hear elements of old Mushroomhead with a few elements of new Mushroomhead, especially with the clean vocals. Sounds like the new album's gonna be more epic than I thought it'd be.
Some of you that are talking shit have obviously never listened to their older stuff cause this is reminiscent of their older stuff. and by older stuff I don't mean XIII.
If bands didn't change there sound the what would be the point for putting out a new record. If it sounded the same you would bitch that all there albums sound the same. I personally have never heard an album I didn't love from them.
for you future and current negative comments about this album sucking heres reasons why ur opinions are stupid as fuck 1.have u heard ANY of the samples. 2. get rid of nothing? u kidding right.HAH u guys r funny 3.how is this a bad song? why cus it has rap elements in it far as it goes this is what mrh us to sound like in the old school days
okay J-Mann and Waylon are in the band throw Jeffery out so they can make great music again. i love mushroom head and hate Nothing. i know I'm going to get a lot of hate but. Those two have a lot of talent and i know the band would go farther without him.
Apparently this is their first single/video. I love Mushroomhead but "Son of 7" or "Our Apologies" should have been their first singles. "Qwerty" is good but not the way to gain more new "metal" fans. I love every song but I'm also a die hard Mushroomhead fan.
Honestly, i can't wait for the album...but it wasn't the right song to start with in my opinion. Not saying it's bad, I actually like it. New band members, J-mann's return, new album, new sound... deal with it... Mushroomhead for life
When Skinny said that they were going back to an old school feel, he didn't mean like how they sounded on XIII but how they sounded on Self Titled, Superbuick, and M3.
To further clarify, I think Skinny meant when they did a lot of experimenting with their music on the first 3 albums.
This is Awesome. This song is the BOMB. I'm so glad the new record is coming. I see everyone bitching about the hip-hop elements to this. They must have never heard the 1st three albums or XX.
favorite Mushroomhead song, got me through alot of dark times
This song is a tip of the hat to old school Mushroomhead. It's unfortunate that it would seem that there are more then a few people who don't get that this is pure fan service and I guarantee it'd be a lot of fun for them to perform live.
This kinda remind me a lil like simpleton! Creepy and dark! Glad they going back oldskool! Cant wait for the release!
Mushroomhead are back Y'ALL! BEEN MISSING SINCE XIII
You seem lost? My give a fuck section is over there. Please take a ticket and join the queue
You do realize that they had two albums come out between XIII & The Righteous and The Butterfly right?
SnakeEyedAndVenomous i think he means since Jman left?
yeah since jmann left the sound totally changed beautiful stories for ugly children was not one of the best albums they created . Shmotz isnt or hasnt made any really stand out piano solo's which to me was a distinguished sound. this is an old school sound, with old school raps a sound i've missed

Love it...some old school coming in with the new blood from church and Dr. F and jmann being back \m/
i went to a concert of these guys in New Daisy Theatre in Memphis Tn about a month and a half ago.
WOAH! Jman is back! This is awesome!
Nice to see J Mann returning they lost something when he left glad they kept Waylon too. Definitely going to be interesting to hear all three. Looking forward to this big time.
Insane Mushroomhead Posse
Whaa?!
Welcome back J man.
pre ordered weeks ago cant fucking wait! the count down has begun. FILTHY HANDS!!!!!!
wait, I looked up on MUSHROOMHEAD, not B sides of ICP
Have you heard the first three albums? Because they're a lot like this. I'm talking before XIII. They're known for having some rap elements in their music.
I see what you mean haha
Kenny Fiorisi Just because it has "rap elements" doesn't mean it sounds like the first three albums. Because it doesn't.
I'm not going to judge the album until I can hear the whole thing, trying new sounds is something I highly respect. But this really sounds nothing like their old stuff. Nor does it sound like their middle stuff (referring to XX and XIII here).

well, what is ICH?
Great song can you reply to this I was wondering if u can use this in my videos??
Fucking sick can't wait for this album. Interested to see what all three singers will do!!!
Qwerty
How the fuck could you guys do this.
RIP Mushroomhead
not RIP theres no such thing as old or new mushroomhead just the mushroomhead if you like there old stuff than go listen to their old stuff
No, this isn't mushroomhead. This is garbage. Mushroomhead is the stuff on M3, Superbuick, the Self titled, hell even XIII. Not this...thing...!
it is mushroomhead you probably just deaf. and if your such a fan of old school go listen to the old school simple as that. you think a bands gonna stay the SAME forever your sadly mistaken
HOPEFULLY WITH THIS NEW ALBUM IT WILL BE MORE HEAVY. THE START OF IT REMINDS ME OF NIGHTMARE BEFORE XMAS
Fuckyeah! Fucking sounds like their first 3 albums man. I fucking dig.
This mix...
Suena con todo!!!!
This is fucking incredible!!!
x x
How anyone thinks this sounds like old Mushroomhead is beyond me. And yes, I am familiar with their pre-XIII stuff.
First mushroomhead song I've ever listened too.
Definitely will
I'd say listen to XX first, then XIII. XX is the best of their early stuff refined and re-recorded.
yeah, i'd recommend listening to their early work.
This song is better than anything I could make.
This song makes me drive fast.
Yep
This song could have easily been on superbuick, great shit fellas keep up the work! I wish Waylon was on this song too though thats my only complaint
Good shit
Pretty fucking exiting
fuckin sick....i Love it!!!!!!
I was hoping it was just J Mann and not Waylon in the new album, but oh well, I just it can work.
Psychopathic please sign 'Shroom!!!!! Whoop Whoop
nah they cant be with psyhcopathic records
D347H2 And why the fuck not?
Well, for one, not to dis ICP, i love all lo's and lettes, but ICP will take most of the profit. Thats why Twiztid left psychopathic records/
Way better than there last one
Best song ever!
It's been toooooo long!!!!!!
my dad works wit des guys
Great song
When I heard this song i was pissed....yeah I know MRH has rap elements in old school...but anyways - I'm listening to the leaked album and just want to say that those that don't like this song - fear not. completely bad ass!!!
Where's Waylon? really can't hear him :/
cause waylon was like fuck that lol
Waylon is the first singer before the "german shepherd" barks. As WaylonMRH said himself.
He's in there, he's just mixed in with J.
Best band ever made!
Reminds me a bit of Corporate Avenger with a circus of dead squirrels twist. Kinda funky, but I disagree that this is like their older stuff. Hatrix was a lot different than this.
🤟🏻
I think this song is one of their fuck around, bullshit, have a good time songs. It has that "let's just do the damn thing" feel to it. another good song by them is Solitaire/Unraveling
What the fuck is with u ppl havin to try n compare this song with old stuff, its a new song, a new album & so far it is fuckin awsome! Cant wait for yas to come back to australia!!
you must understand that for some reason we Americans need to have practicallys the same music realeased every time a band realeases a new album
A parte instrumental dessa música é f0da demaize!!!
Doom metal
Garcia Dorothy Robinson Melissa Jackson Timothy
Is this a fucking joke?
Wow...wtf happened to Mushroomhead :(

Except this doesn't sound like their origins.

So fucking awful.
Insane Clown Posse.
J Man is good, but Waylon Reavis is better at what he does. Honestly they just need to get rid of Jeffrey Nothing, he's worthless. i enjoy Mushroomhead when raps, but this song mmm i don't like it
Wow this is horrendous
Well my friend, It's all about subjective opinions. There is no such thing as Good music & Bad music. lol
worst song on the new cd
disappointed.
This is just one song out of 14, not all of them sound like this.
I hear elements of old Mushroomhead with a few elements of new Mushroomhead, especially with the clean vocals. Sounds like the new album's gonna be more epic than I thought it'd be.
Guess they'll be showing up at the next gathering of juggalos...
They've already played gotj 4 times
Im glad im not the only one who got this same vibe from new mushroomhead
Some of you that are talking shit have obviously never listened to their older stuff cause this is reminiscent of their older stuff. and by older stuff I don't mean XIII.
absolutely! Sounds alot like old Mushroomhead :-)
yeah like superbuick old which isnt my fave unfortunately :(
Actually that is your favorite, why you say? cause 7 out of 11 songs ended up on XX.
tommystix87 agree! people keep saying xx is their best old album but they didnt knw xx was a compilation from their earliest first few release
How dare anyone insult MRH by comparing them to ICP. Any negative nancys here obviously haven't heard their old stuff. I'm very happy JMann is back.
ICP wishes they sounded this fucking awesome.
SnakeEyedAndVenomous ^ This guy knows whats up... The Dream is Over by mushroomhead features Jens Kidman... enough said...
Icp still the shit if you ask me its a 50/50 for my taste of music. Anyone comparing means it as a compliment.
i dont get the hate for this song...i think its amazing
If bands didn't change there sound the what would be the point for putting out a new record. If it sounded the same you would bitch that all there albums sound the same. I personally have never heard an album I didn't love from them.
Love Mushroomhead.....love old school Mushroomhead in particular.......but seriously "BOOM BOOM"? thats corny as hell
When did ICP and Saliva collaborate with Mushroomhead? Hopefully the rest of the album is better.
Can't wait! Great song :D
I've always enjoyed mushroomhead but this...this is fucking terrible!
I just can't stop laughing
"I HAD A BAD DEEH-HEEY"
Yall have no idea wait till the cd drops ive listened to the whole thing with the band last year and it deff is them going back to their roots

2. get rid of nothing? u kidding right.HAH u guys r funny
3.how is this a bad song? why cus it has rap elements in it far as it goes this is what mrh us to sound like in the old school days
At first I was like wtf, but then I got the feel for it and I fucking love it.
okay J-Mann and Waylon are in the band throw Jeffery out so they can make great music again. i love mushroom head and hate Nothing. i know I'm going to get a lot of hate but. Those two have a lot of talent and i know the band would go farther without him.

This song is totally BADASS!!! \m/
This song sounds like it could be in the Luigi's mansion game the beginning that is lol i thought of king boo the whole time haha
Nothing against anyone but this sounds really bad. Lyrically amateur and productions a joke
Much better than I expected!
this band is so bad
How is it so bad?
Derp derp derp, judge 20 years of music based on one bad song. Derpa derpa derp.

Apparently this is their first single/video. I love Mushroomhead but "Son of 7" or "Our Apologies" should have been their first singles. "Qwerty" is good but not the way to gain more new "metal" fans. I love every song but I'm also a die hard Mushroomhead fan.
