Huge grids of world-class riders and major manufacturers, 26 races in 11 countries and a title battle which would go right down to the last day of the season -- the 1992 Superbike World Championship was a real thriller.
Now you can experience this classic year of racing on DVD, with complete coverage of the entire chase for the Superbike crown. Scintillating action from all 13 rounds of the championship delivers the full story of the knife-edge title fight, as well as all the vital passes, clashes and crashes from the always entertaining Superbike World Championship.
Reigning champion Doug Polen was back to renew his fierce rivalry with fellow Ducati rider Raymond Roche, but the pair would be pushed all the way by other Superbike stars - Aaron Slight, Giancarlo Falappa, Rob Phillis and Britain's own Carl Fogarty were among eight riders to take wins in the 1992 season.
The chase for the championship will have you glued to your screen race after race, right down to the title-deciding final round in New Zealand. The battle between Polen, Roche and Phillis -- split by just 14 points after seven rounds -- became a four-way dice as Falappa found form, but it would all come down to the old foes Polen and Roche at the end of the season.
As the story unfolds, there's plenty of drama to enjoy, like Foggy on privateer machinery mixing it with the factory riders, Fabrizio Pirovano's stunning home wins in the wet, the amazing guest appearances of Kevin Magee and some spectacular performances from Stephane Mertens -- including one which leaves his Ducati more than a little fire damaged.

Wow the memories. Cheers Carl.
An outstanding race, Carl worked his bike to the finish line and won deservedly. Well done to the rest of the field also.

Foggys' first ever win in WSBK. Classic.
DOUG POLEN!!!!!
Back in the past I never liked the difference engine capacity in the SBK...you wanna race with 2 cylinders, ok! it is your choice but you have to make a 750cc engine! I know there are some ways to compare 2 and 4 cylinders but there have been always doubts about it. How much air can you intake? How many kg should weight your bike? Make just a easy rule and that's it! I always found unfair to see the Ducati with 888cc and then 916cc and then 998cc against the Kawasaki or Suzuki or Yamaha with the 750cc.
I saw the fog riding anything in the north of England , in all weathers , hats off that dude could ride a bike ,
Total respect !
