Elvis dated a lot of girls. He attempted to court A LOT of girls and convince them to stay with him at Graceland. His approach was habitual. He would meet them. Speak to the parents to win their approval. Court the Girl by sharing his vulnerabilities (he loved sharing his deep thoughts with the women in his life. He didn't "only" share with this special one person, he had that relationship with all the women in his life, whether friend, lover, girlfriend, maid, colleague etc. He was good at being vulnerable). He would then request to move the girl to Graceland. The truth is, honestly, that Priscilla was the one that stuck it out the longest. She wasn't the "only" one. She wasn't a "special" one. She wasn't even his first pick. He tried to get another 14 year old (Wink Martindale's now wife, Sandy Ferrera) to move into Graceland in '60/'61 after leaving Germany. Her parents shut it down and said absolutely not. Sandy's parents recognized that she was too young for the type of lifestyle that Elvis led. He even told her parents that Sandy's mom could move in too. lol. Priscilla (and her parents) on the other hand... put up with him. If he said jump, she said how high. And the truth is that's what he thought he wanted. And let's not forget that he was in a long-term relationship with Anita Wood who he had promised to marry all while courting Priscilla, Sandy and countless others. Did he love Priscilla?... not even she could answer that question when she was asked point blank in an interview in the 80s. But I do believe that she loved him and still does...and grew to love the position and status that came along with loving him.... and still does.

Priscilla only had a chance after Elvis real live in girlfriend Anita Wood broke up with him and left Graceland in August of 1962. Months later in 1963 Priscilla moved to Memphis when she was turning 18. Priscillas parents thought Elvis was a “Golden opportunity” per interview.

I wish when she was asked how they met she would’ve told them about my uncle (who also was in the army) And his wife, my aunt Carol who would pick her up and take her to Elvis’s place And be responsible for her under the orders of her father. They introduced her to Elvis, and that is where her Elvis life began. What saddens me is that my aunt was down on her financial luck, and was working as a waitress in a restaurant that Priscilla came into and recognized her. If it hadn’t been because of them she would’ve never of met Elvis Presley at all. They were friends with Elvis. You would think seeing a person who brought you such fame and wealth with her millions would have offered her some help financially, seeing her waiting on tables at her older age. But Priscilla never did. She chatted for a while with her and then left. Because of that Incident Priscilla gives me ill feelings about her. She tells the true story of my uncle Curry and my Aunt Carol and how they met in her book (EVIS AND ME) about how they introduced her and were assigned by Priscilla’s father to be her chaperone and to be with her at all times at these parties and events. Wouldn’t you have thought that she would’ve helped her out a little bit? I will always remember my aunt telling me that story. And Priscilla’s book proves that to be true.

It doesn’t surprise me. She is not a kind and giving woman. Her eyes have always looked dead (like a sharks) and they truly are the windows into the soul. You do know that she failed a lie detector test and your Uncle Curry passed the test in regards to how she met your Uncle and what she did with him to meet Elvis. How she describes Elvis in the interview and how her movie portrays him are a bit contradictive
If you watch her older interviews it all contradicting. It’s hard for her to keep up the lies since she tells so many.
I think the movie portrays exactly how their relationship was. She loved Elvis and you can even see that in the movie. Neither of them were perfect either and the movie also showed that. I honestly expected to leave the movie hating him, but it really humanized him in my eyes

I’m 24 now, like Elvis was at the time. It’s a wired age, I have 16 year old friends more mature and well rounded than my 25-26 year old friends. From my class I know a girl who got pregnant at 15, now her son is 9, she went back finished school, and grew up to be a mother and I know guys older than us who still live at home, can’t even drive, and I wouldn’t trust my puppy on them… Definitely Elvis was a complicated person but the numbers don’t always mean much. I mean they didn’t even live together until she was 17, not even in the same country, it’s definitely not conventional but keeping up a relationship with someone for 3 years, mostly just talking and keeping each other close emotionally is not something I would call predatorial.

My mom dated a 25 year old when she was 15 growing up in a small town in Buenos Aires. She was born in 1960. People would often wait till marriage back then if they were serious about someone and it wasn't seen the same way as it is now.

Only months after Anita left Graceland did Priscilla had a chance and moved to Memphis in 1963 when she was about to turn 18.

Priscilla is not a Presley. In their divorce settlement she agreed to the stipulation that she was never to use the Presley last name. She did not use the Presley name until Elvis died and then she claimed a 9 yr old Lisa gave her permission. Priscilla did not save Graceland the fans saved Graceland by showing up after his death (leading to the idea of opening it up as a way for Priscilla to earn money). In fact Elvis was killing himself by working so much because Priscilla wanted more money and like the Col. was not above having him sell his beloved home. If you want true information on who Priscilla truly is and her marriage to Elvis then I think you should read the biography (biographies are always far more true) entitled “The child bride”. For a woman who claims that Elvis was the love of her life she sure goes out of her way tin trying annihilate his reputation. She cheated on him constantly, she left him for a Karate instructor named Mike Stone. Did I mention that she had a man leave his pregnant wife so he could live with her? Are you aware of the fact that she lived with a man who admitted to being attracted to Lisa Marie when she was only 11 yrs old? I would think that since her son hates LM and Elvis that she would want to bring him comfort at the time of her death and be laid to rest someplace ( where he could be buried also and where he doesn’t hate going to). What kind of mother would sue her own Grandchildren immediately following the death of their Mother (her daughter). This woman hasn’t been grieving she’s too busy trying to secure some false portrayal of her herself. She should be focused on securing Lisa Marie’s legacy. She cared so little for her own daughter that on the night LM turned 18 Priscilla dropped her off at a Scientologist Center (with only the clothes on her back) .
The one thing this woman is good at doing is lying and making sure she gets what she wants. Her lies are so easily proven. I finally watched the trailer for her ridiculous autobiographical movie and found a lie (in the trailer). She has always said that she thought she looked great after the makeover Elvis gave her. It’s even in the original movie that she loved it. Now she has said in later years that she thought she looked great but upon looking back it was a terrible look for her. That is much different to her now saying that she hated the look told Elvis and he got angry so she kept it. You see her new version makes her look sympathetic and controlled by Elvis. She a chameleon and a grifter, Come on the woman slept with the father of the Kardashions. That’s how she got on whatever TV soap she was in and the Naked Gun movies (with O.J. Simpson).
Elvis had an age appropriate girlfriend for 5 hrs before Priscilla (and he was dating her while in the Army) and when he got home. Priscilla was the one writing letters and begging him to ask her parents to let her visit. That if he asked they would say yes. The moment Zilla stepped foot into Graceland she and her parents had all the power (because of her age) and they threatened him all the time with it. Her parents allowed all this to happen. The moment they heard he was going to Germany the plan started. Including having her hair done like the actress that Elvis had a huge crush on (Debra Pagent). Look at the photos they tell the truth. Girls her age didn’t wear their hair in that style. It was a decision to make her look more like Debra. Very sneaky.

He didn't. Her stepfather invited Elvis over to his home to meet his family. Priscilla's stepfather was a Captain in the Air Force and used his rank and connections to contact Elvis. Elvis wanting to make a good impression as a soldier attended the dinner that evening and brought his father along. There are pictures from the evening, but not of the evening Priscilla supposedly met him for the first time at the party at his home. The whole thing was arranged and being pushed by er parents. Every time Elvis turned around Priscilla was hanging around. I think he thought of Priscilla as a kid sister. Everyone who knew Elvis said he didn't want to marry her, and her father threatened to go to the press. This whole story Priscilla tells is a myth she made up.
Watch her interview with Barbara Walters, then her latest with Piers Morgan, she changes her story all the time.
Alot of women in their teenage years dated and married older men for decades, they still do till this day. I just don’t understand why she keeps repeating the same story over and over again, let Elvis live in peace.

I am 73 and long before you came along I know firsthand the history of Elvis Presley. Even before his first hit record, he befriended a black vocal artist named Jackie Wilson and that was the beginning of his career. White evangelicals and supremacists (one and the same) hated him like they did Jane Fonda. They violently demonstrated against him and his music was banned from their radio. The only place you could hear Elvis was on the black stations in the south. Elvis Pat Booned Jackie Wilson, don't believe me then I dare you to listen to Jackie Wilson songs and if you don't hear Elvis you are a liar. Moving to New York in 1958 there were many stories and newspaper accounts of Elvis frequenting the Apollo Theater in Harlem. It was not until he took on that racist Colonel as a manager that put out the statement claiming Elvis said " all a N__g__r could do for him was buy his records and shine his shoes" that he was ingratiated by segregated racist white America. I know you don't want to hear this but it is the truth because this is not history to me I lived this.

Amazing , I just did some research and heard some other wonderful singers . Elvis died 8 years before I was born .....I watched the Austin /Elvis movie over the summer and I've become obsessed ! I have bought five movies ,six albums to listen to in my car and now have a painting of him above my bed ! My young boys love him too ! Over all Elvis seemed like a amazing person and so is Priscilla. I think if I was lucky enough to have been married to Elvis I would be naturally talking about him too!

Not because I'm an Elvis defender, but because of HER hierocracy. More of Prissy's self imposed victimhood. SHE consented, as did her parents, to living at Graceland in hopes of being Mrs Presley one day. She could have walked out at any time, no one held her back. Her parents could have recalled her back home, but didn't. They all were very content with the blessings of her living at Graceland & living the lavish lifestyle. Free Will is a wonderful thing, and she exercised it, as is evidence of staying there all those years. What did she expect from Elvis? To tame the King of Rock & Roll? Isn't that the very premise she complained about elvis, trying to change her to being what he wanted? And She complained of infidelity, lack of attention, etc BUT continued to stay until after she had a daughter.
