This is the lost history of Africa. We all know about slavery and colonisation. But we don't know the personal impact it had on people and communities and their struggles. We know nothing of their lives before. Africa was rich and prosperous and a great place to be. May Allah return it that way and elevate good people like Sheikh Bamba.

So Bamba put his trust in Allah and without hesitation, threw his praying mat in the ocean and performed his Salah on the water. This story is verified by the French who were on the scene. Bamba was a man of God who nicknamed himself Khadimur Rasul because he was known to write poems praising the prophet ((SAW). He has the largest following in Senegal but sadly some of his followers started to compare him to the prophet and even Allah. May Allah reward him with Jannah
He is my Sheikh ❤️❤️❤️ He was sentenced to exile first to Gabon for nearly 8 years. When he came back to Senegal, the people visiting him was more important, everyone coming from everywhere in the country to congratulate him, as he was the only known religious scholar to be back from an exile. The reason of his second exile is that he was accused of preparing a real war. But he answered in a poem that he does make war but only by "Islamic sciences" and At Taqwa (fearing ALLAH). He then was sent to Mauritania. After 5 years he came back to Senegal and was put in a residence watched by the French for the rest of his life. But until then, people did not stop coming to him for any sollicitation.

He was not fighting for independance against French colonialism. His mission was essentially to fight for Islam against the European Christianity. The sect is still going nowadays and made from the city of Touba a yearly pilgrimage. May Allah keep us in the right path and firm on the sunnah without falling into innovations and shirk

There is something people who have seen this video need to know: in the writings attributed to Ahmadou Bamba he states that the Kaaba was moved from Mecca to Touba (a city in Senegal), that he will not die (and instead he died) and that he holds the servants of Allah. In addition to this, his family members and murids utter sentences of kufr and shirk. They claim Ahmadou Bamba holds them, they claim they have to obey him and his family, and that it is in him they hope in this life and the next. They believe he will intercede for them. One of his grandsons, or great-grandsons, claimed that it was Ahmadou Bamba who wrote the heaven and the earth. Sam Mbaye, one of the best scholars of their Tariqa claimed to have read the hidden writings of Ahmadou Bamba (which his family keeps secret)and that he even thought that Serigne ...Touba is superior to the Prophets (peace be upon them). His tariqa and other Sufi tariqa in Senegal are the cause of corruption of many people. OnePath should not sponsor these individuals without thoroughly investigating them.

@@jya5467 Bamba has written a lot on tawhid but in the writings attributed to him there are still serious elements, such as the fact that he does not die like other people, who holds the slaves of Allah etc. Many of his works are kept secret and private by his family. There are things that his family probably added about him and the tariqa, such as the fact that the Baye Falls (slice of the Mourides and servants of Ahmadou Bamba and his family) do not pray or fast.
Unfair to say that the entire country is “racist”--many excellent people of all faiths exist in France as well as elsewhere. Let us be mindful about not making hasty generalizations due to the politics of each era. I am sure each time we make a generalization, Allah may show us the people who are fair-minded, people of Almighty, who do work towards peaceful ways despite whatever the political types say.

I would like to bring some precisions about his Story. He was not fighting for independance against French colonialism. His mission was essentially to fight for Islam against the European Christianity. And He successfully won that fight because today Senegal is more than 95% Muslim.

Unfortunately a devient sect (mourid) who distorted his teaching emerged after him, claiming false claims about him and his offspring.
The sect is still going nowadays and made from the city of Touba a yearly pilgrimage.

There is something people who have seen this video need to know: in the writings attributed to Ahmadou Bamba he states that the Kaaba was moved from Mecca to Touba (a city in Senegal), that he will not die (and instead he died) and that he holds the servants of Allah. In addition to this, his family members and murids utter sentences of kufr and shirk. They claim Ahmadou Bamba holds them, they claim they have to obey him and his family, and that it is in him they hope in this life and the next. They believe he will intercede for them. One of his grandsons, or great-grandsons, claimed that it was Ahmadou Bamba who wrote the heaven and the earth. Sam Mbaye, one of the best scholars of their Tariqa claimed to have read the hidden writings of Ahmadou Bamba (which his family keeps secret)and that he even thought that Serigne ...Touba is superior to the Prophets (peace be upon them). His tariqa and other Sufi tariqa in Senegal are the cause of corruption of many people. OnePath should not sponsor these individuals without thoroughly investigating them.
Furthermore, every year his talibés make a pilgrimage to his mosque in Touba, a clear innovation in the religion.

@@jya5467 Bamba has written a lot on tawhid but in the writings attributed to him there are still serious elements, such as the fact that he does not die like other people, who holds the slaves of Allah etc. Many of his works are kept secret and private by his family. There are things that his family probably added about him and the tariqa, such as the fact that the Baye Falls (slice of the Mourides and servants of Ahmadou Bamba and his family) do not pray or fast.
