- Its a treacherous pass along "The Devil's Backbone" from spanish wells to harbour island. Many ships have wrecked on the reef there including in 1647 when a ship full of british colonist wrecked and had to survive for a long time in a nearby cave!

hay mate I always see people on boats struggle with access. while working on aircraft we had the same our tool store found a rachet that has a rotating handle so spin the handle the head rotates don't have to have Clerance to move the rachet back and forth may be helpful for you I am in Australia but you should be able to get one if you want a pic or vid of what I am talking about let me know . Bobby all this boat work is amazingly painful to deal with , but you seem to handle it was ease. Now as far as that beautiful partner Amanda goes , she is absolutely the best thing that ever happened to you ever and I must say your blessed to have her . Dang- I follow you guys intermittently when I have time and I was at Spanish wells Yacht Haven around the same time, but left early on April 12th for Bimini and back to FL. Would have been great to meet you. Safe travels!
Funny when you had the darkside my wife and I were rethinking live aboard but with fuel cost and moorage going through the roof we scuttled the idea. Then you bought the twin sea ray and were both laughed because we had been talking about doing same but in diesel.. Watching you deal with all the common boat issues were now looking at a boat club you pay dues and the do all the moorage and maintenance. Not as go when you want little more planning but were not running a you tube channel!

Why dont you mount a swing bar on the boat. For lifting things onto or off the dinghy , like the motor or for lifting the dingy out of the water . With a little hand winch. Removable pole and with maybe multi attachment for 2 or 3 rods mount for the hole to troll.
It's only a transition boat again; similar to the sloop in Greece.
Have you tried filming getting off the dock with the 360° camera?

I've got a SeaRay (a little bigger) but deal with westerbeke generator issues constantly. Pretty sure I've got the problem solving dialed to a fine art now though

I hate doing repairs in tight spaces. Especially when it's hot and humid. I have plenty of experience working upside down with hard parts poking me in my ribs. I hate it! I always cue past Bobby's segments when he's working in the engine bay. I do NOT need to watch that misery! Cue up the cruising/sailing/frolicking!
