Always said, fans produce better films than some of the actual big-budget movies, and this just proves my point.
A better question is, why do Hollywood Producers not hire the FANS of the MATERIAL to direct, rather they just hire people like JJ Abrams, or Michael Bay. Because that's a safe bet at the box office but probably will be a terrible movie
I love the Star Wars feel of this prequel... I would love to see what these guys would do with a hundred million dollar budget like

However if your talking power rangers in general, I don’t see it being a Star Wars clone at all. Not to mention super sentai is older than Star Wars. But still I don’t see the resemblance other than this fan film. Btw great film, really loved it. Kinda felt bummed they never reached their goals to make more.

i dont think so ostrich. for one, it wasnt made by a fan of power rangers. and secont it is too bloody and, for my opinin, out of characters for the rangers.

PRUA was supposed to be a satirical commentary on Hollywood and the trend that has been pervading the industry: that being taking something and making it dark and gritty for the sake of being dark and gritty. And I would hazard a guess that the PRUA movie was made by fans of Power Rangers or they wouldn't have known how to make it NOT Power Rangers.
this looks a lot like a star wars prequel but I've always wanted to see the original rangers before angel grove so I love it

This has got to be the most amazing fan film I've ever seen. Only a true Power Rangers fan could create something so faithful to the original series. I really like how you made young Zordon's personality a lot like Tommy's and I love all the references to the wider universe. Brilliant work I salute you

Amazing! I love everyone on the council. King Mondo negotiating with Zordon. Zordon of Eltar looks amazing fighting Rita Repulsa. But when Rita first played the dragon flute, I gasped so long. I just met with Jason David Frank for the first time on the very day this came out and I loved it. So, it was the perfect day to be a Power Ranger Fan.
Thank you for making these films. I can not wait for Teenagers with Attitude 2. Have a Mophinomenal Time!
This is unquestionably one of the greatest fanfilms I have ever seen. Great story and several great actors and actresses. I loved Dimitria at 17:07 . Soo beautiful and I'm disappointed she had such a small part given her talent. I can't wait to see what other works you guys put out. This was fantastic.
the best part of this is that its absolutely clear that the writers /producers had love for the series. its not just fanservice or fan-fiction. its a tribute to the universe Saban created. you dont just present beloved recognized characters and names in a compelling prequil story, but you respect the original individual characters's tropes, studio decisions, personalities, and relations.
When Zordon hails Divatox, the music playing is from XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

This is a really good fan film. Excellent use of the mythos and some very awesome twists on the background story that proceeds what we all know as Mighty Morphin. Only true fans can appreciate the small nods.
divatox did some stupid things and helping Rita out for something, while Rita was giving her money and coins so she can just own and the green dagger, the six power coins, and the Megazord. for what exactly
why did Zordon press the button? and alert Space Patrol Delta and SPD when Divatox didn't know that much about Rita.
I gotta give you guys a standing ovation. The story told in this movie is so powerful. I could immerse myself in the universe, feel how Rita would've felt and everything. If Hollywood would ever wanna make a prequel to Power Rangers, you guys should write the script. Awesome job guys.

They should so make this into a real movie and then follow it up with a Power Rangers reboot trilogy based on the first two seasons! They could literally create their own cinematic universe;
- Zordon of Eltar (prequel)
- MMPR 1: Power Rangers (vs Rita and Goldar, Green Ranger Revealed at End)
- MMPR2: Green with Evil (Tommy & Scorpina vs Power Rangers. Tommy Loses his powers at the end)
- MMPR3: Lord Zedd arrives and destroys the remaining Power Rangers with the help of Goldar, Zordon creates the white ranger (Tommy) to stop him and retrieve the power coins
- Power Rangers: Quest of The Zeo Crystals - This would mainly be for the crystals but also incorporate the Gold Ranger origin
- Possible Gold Ranger solo movie
- Power Rangers: Shattered Grid - Alternate Timeline, where Tommy breaks free of Rita's spell but chooses to remain at her side. Combines white ranger and green ranger powers. Kills all the power rangers. Prime versions of the power rangers crossover and have to stop him. (based on another fan made series on youtube). This could be a 1, 2 or 3 part movie. White Ranger and Saba vs Evil Tommy (Lord Drakkon).
Goldar origin would even be a good idea for a prequel but would need to heavily use CGI. After all that you could literally do any season you want; Psycho Rangers or In Space would be good to see again. Ecliptor was pretty bad ass! Also a Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles cross over movie would be amazing to see. But that would probably never happen. I doubt anything more than a reboot will happen unfortunately lol

Zordon Fanfilm dude, thats awsome. I love how you guys gave the Dragonzord the roar of Godzilla and how Zordon is like Raiden from Mortal Kombat....this is the dopest fan film Ive ever seen. even better than that R-rated one with that guy from Dawsons creek

For what this was, it was really good. Im glad that ive followed and waited, When the Dragon Dagger first appears I got chills, then when it was played I went all tingly and couldnt stop smiling! You have served my childhoodd memories a great justice this day & for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I think the biggest irony is that you had the original Zordon's voice actor, David Fielding, play King Mondo, and Mondo's role in being the one who gave him the "ability," as it were, to become the infamous disembodied head.
i like the re-imagining of Alpha. the sexy female mech suit design is glorious. this is amazing.
They should release this on Blu Ray like they did with Mortal Kombat Legacy

This was the best thing ever! I really liked enjoyed it! I really like how you meshed the different elements of the PR universe together. Soni Aralynn really stole the performance in this with her portrayal of Divatox.
Dude you rocked this film so out of this world!! I loved all the power rangers reference from the tv series as well as the all characters in it. You did a amazing job! It was a slow movie it portrayed all of the elements of a prequel to the power rangers. I was locked in and wanted more after it was done! You also added a lot of little things that I enjoyed from the tv series. It was just so awesome dude! I want like five more episodes like this!!
I want to point out to the fans this is what power rangers a fresh new series that is an hour long that is well writing and put together. It doesn't have to be a super dark film just something more adult and so on. I'm sure alot of have been waiting for a film to come about how the power coins came to be.

For a French PR fan like me ... IT'S AMAZING. It was my favourite serie when I was a little boy, and see you make a fan film send me to my nostalgics moment to watch Zordon on TV. I follow the experience since a year, and I understand how difficult it was to release this film. I'm 23 now, but watching your film I had 10 again. So, thank you very much, this film is awesome !! I'm waiting for TWA now, I'm so excited :) (sorry for my english, I'm a little bit rusty ^^)

Divatox was outstanding! Really took the mannerisms of the original character, and played it off so beautifully as a younger version. I never thought a lot about that character, but this made me really enjoy and appreciate the character more. Great performance Soni Aralynn

Fantastic film!
Not only does it give these characters a great backstory to go off of, but it still stays true to who they were originally, while giving them character depth we never saw before, especially in the case of Zordon. I kinda figured that Zordon was a badass in his time, but holy smokes! Plus the idea of making Rita a sympathetic villain is great, as well as giving Zordon's coat of arms the White Ranger emblem. Not only that, but we even get introduced to some minor characters and we can see the seeds being sown of what's to come. But even then, we can still only guess.
Keep up the amazing work! I can only hope that Lionsgate's reboot film is as engaging as this.

Great job! There's a few small hiccups but otherwise this is a really great fan film that does a lot right, is well shot, well edited, great special effects for your first time, and a lot of fun easter eggs. Wonderful, I'm very happy for you!

I think that this is the closest that we will ever get to an origin story, unless the new power rangers film touches upon an origin story for zordon and rita repulsa
I hope so, I had an idea what if Zordon and Rita were brother and sister, twins actually, and their father was the king of Eltar and Rita was jealous of how her father treated Zordon better than her, then something happens and her father banishes Rita then she returns, kills her father, takes over Eltar and Zordon leads a rebellion against her

I was hoping to see Gosai at some point, but this was otherwise AWESOME! Glad to see Soni as Divatox, and was super glad to see the TWA at the end.
Kendall Hackney Unfortunately I didn't even know who Gosei even was until halfway through filming this fan film. Had I known I probably would've incorporated him somehow. I stopped watching after In Space so my knowledge of Power Rangers after the Zordon Era was over is very limited.
Most of you guys fail to realize it's not a prequel to the series, but to their reboot fan film released approximately a year before this one.
Wow I love your Divatox and Elgar. And your death of Rito certainly explains his skeletal form in the series. I love how much thought you guys put into all of this.
I like these effects. This is really impressive, especially for a fan film. Well acted to. (also, being a product of the early 2000's I nerded out a bit when they mentioned the S.P.D.)

This was just a great work by you guys. Ur time and effort was not wasted. You got all the names right that needed to be there and the mythology was good enough nothing can be perfect. I am glad you respected the villains and heroes with great acting. There is just no words for my tears on the dragon zord scenes and monster growth. Like we say from Greece BRAVO! Also from my America Hurray!
Not gonna lie, I thoroughly enjoyed this. You kept to the spirit of the original show while adding your own touch to the story. That's not an easy thing to do well, but you did. I especially enjoyed the fact that Zordon was the original White Ranger, as well as Alpha 5's appearance being a suit and the touch of ancient astronaut theory thrown in. Well done!

Wow! That was awesome! I'll admit it, you guys did great. I just loved the references to various things that I shall not mention to avoid spoilers. My final score for this movie on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 9 out of 10.
Mindblowing... Seriously, Lionsgate & Saban really have to step their game up. Of course they are huge companies and therefore they have lots and lots of freedom to film but this here is such a big piece of art and amazingly well done, thinking that it was supported by fans and made independently. Still I can't believe how creative this is. Really enjoyed all the small references like the space patrol delta mentioned and others. I'm always impressed how well done some fan films are compared to the big company budget ones. Still speechless. Saban has to come up with really good ideas to top that. Cheers & May the Power protect you.

Christian Anderson Yeah, did anyone notice that the color of Zordon's beam is the same as the Vegeta's purple Galick Gun wave and Rita's bean is the same as Cell's Green Perfect Kamehameha wave and the it changes to the Goku's Kamehameha wave in a blue color?
Ricardo Ribeiro I'm a huge DBZ fan. Even that shot of the beam being deflected into outer space and the gaping reactions from Goldar and Scorpina were nods to DBZ. Cant wait for Dragonball Super to come out.

Great film, you guys! I really liked Divatox, she's very fun, sassy, and sexy! I hope she eventually gets her revenge somehow! I also liked Dimitria, she's very funny with a fun attitude! Alpha's final form was also pretty cool! I also appreciate the new direction you're taking Rita! Overall, this was just a really cool fan film! I've always loved prequels and origin stories (but only if they're origins we've never experienced before) ! Very well done! You can bet I'll be rewatching this later!

Damn so not only was Zordon the original power ranger but he was The White Ranger and he defeated Rita and her goons alone which the Power Rangers could never do this just gives me a whole other appreciation for Zordon

robert riojas maybe but power rangers use suits to power themselves im talking about Zordon being the living embodiment of a power ranger without the suit perhaps he had to create a white power coin from his essence and a suit to go along with it because he himself was a power ranger or the first ever
This is what dislike about this video. Zordon didn't create the white ranger power until Tommy lost the green ranger powers in the show. It makes more sense for him to be the original red ranger.

Oh Man that was MORPHENOMINAL! Seriously, this was more Power Ranger lore then we ever got in Megaforce. So many cool references here and there.
Now while all the counsel stuff in the beginning made this feel like "Prequel Trilogy Star-Wars", I still found the new takes on characters very interesting and dynamic.
I am so looking forward to this "Fannon" to expand.
That being said if one wanted to get involved with the production of this universe, what could they do?
