- This is VERY rare footage of a leopard and a cheetah walking in the same frame. We saw the cheetah, the worlds’s fastest mammal, kill a
baby steenbok, only to have the kill stolen by the leopard, who is stronger. The leopard then decided it wanted to eat the cheetah instead, but gave up the chase and walked back to the carcass. The hungry cheetah followed just out of range, hoping to get her breakfast back, in vain.
Reading that caption I thought they would be holding hands.
With those two animals, they practically were

Yeah. Normally a lone cheetah wouldn't do that. But a mother cheetah with cubs nearby might.

Cheetah: fast
Leopard: have various techniques and are well rounded, spending alot of times hunting in dense grasslands and up in trees.
Lion male: Specifically built for f8ghting other animals
Tigers: Biggest and powerful cat, but they are more hunter than fighter. Be that as it may they have more range of ability beong as they can swim very well, climb trees, and can adapt to several climates very well.

Tiger: Apex Predator
Those who know these animals understand that the leopard would kill the cheetah. To see them in the same frame “walking together” is extremely rare. I challenge you to find another video of both in the same frame. Those who expect to see them walking hand in hand are looking for a Disney film.

Those who know animals know that they do not read the rule books. And I have seen cheetah chasing leopard …and attacking leopard...leopard running like hades to get away. Cheetah had cubs...making sure leopard did not come near cubs. An amazing sighting
A cheetah encounter with a leopard is rare, but it isn’t a never seen before in the wild sighting. I’m sure you could find another video with them in the same frame

They're practicing social distancing better than most people & the leopard was tired of eating cheetahs dust so it didn't even bother on chasing the cheetah

They are NOT "walking together." They are walking in the same area and the CHEETAH is keeping a very safe distance from the LEOPARD. If the Leopard were to turn towards the CHEETAH, the CHEETAH has plenty of space and time to react and run away. Notice how the LEOPARD would pause/stop and look back to see how far or close the CHEETAH was.
CHEETAH - Hey! Hey! I'm walking behind you, doesn't that make you nervous? LOL!
LEOPARD - HA! Trust me, you do NOT make me nervous one bit and if you get MUCH CLOSER I can prove it.

They're not walking together in the traditional sense. The Cheetah is keeping an eye on the predator. Much in the same way herbivores walk along side predators.
That Cheetah just was making sure the Leopard got the hell outta there...they was not walking together as if they was Friends...Lol
The leopard had just stolen the baby Springbok the cheetah had killed. The cheetah is hanging dangerously close to the leopard in the futile hope that he can get his meal back for himself and for his cubs. The leopard is hoping to get a larger meal if the cheetah gets too close.
The leopard never knew the cheetah was behind him. Otherwise he would've kicked some cheetah ass.!?!?

He knew the cheetah was behind him, but he first wanted to make sure he is boss and chase the cheetah away from its kill, when he knew the cheetah ran from him, he knew the food was secured, so he returned back to the carcass, he knew the cheetah was behind him, believe me, he knew... yet he also knows he better get back to the prey before other animals sucgh as lions or hyena's find out about the kill.

No it looks like the leopard is being escorted away from a potential den of cheetah cubs. This is probably the aftermath of the leopard being tired of being harassed and giving for reasons unknown to him or her.
Giving chase
The cheetah made a kill which was stolen by the leopard. The leopard chased the cheetah away but the cheetah kept trying to get back to the Steinbok, risking becoming a meal herself. That special moment of a cheetah voluntarily being so close as to be walking in the same frame with a leopard is why this is so rare.
Leopards do eat Cheetahs so she is making sure it went away.
It shows clearly the cheetah is keeping an eye on the leopard.

What does it mean "walking together" in this video ?
Walking together In the same frame, walking parallel to each other. Normally, the cheetah would run away from the leopard and the leopard would chase the cheetah. I am told by park rangers that saw the video that to have them together in the same frame is extremely rare footage. The ranger on the video makes the same statement.
