That exercise is primary to me keeping my knees strong. Any time I’m consistent with this exercise I feel my knees much more well rounded and a lot of my mobility issues lesson.
Got a horrible knee injury once and decided to change my entire life after my physio told me about all the knee issues that people have. It’s not an individual issue but a human issue, we have all evolved with bad knees, the only solution is to work them, make the muscles stronger and exercise. Everyone needs to do strength training and especially when heavy weights are involved, the form is extremely important, this guy is a life saver when it comes to that.
Internally consume a less inflammatory diet, and more omega 3 fats. Get enough water and Sleep. In Traditional Chinese medicine weak knees are related to kidney qi. Notice next time you don't sleep enough, knees and lower back are less strong as well as memory loss, and dark lines under the eyes.
This video was literally made for me, ive been struggling with knee pain since I was a young teen and no matter how strong my legs got, my knees still had the same pain. Using this videos advice, my knees are already starting for feel better. Thank you!
You have amazing content - It’s hard to believe that you could provide this much information in shorts, consistently, and concisely. I’ve probably watched dozens of them and it just occurs to me, Hhow unique your channel really is.
This is legit! You can reduce or eliminate knee pain overtime (especially if you practice the info these incredible videos put out!). I have trained a lot of football players and bodybuilders and I do this and other mobility drills with them. The reduction in joint pain and the increase in strength and recovery overtime is unreal! Love these vids!
For me I realized that I doN't really push through my heels equally. Left is fine rihgt side my hip was hiking up all the time and I had no real control of my quad and wasn't really stable. When I realized I should emphasize more weight through the heel of my right foot I immediately got feedback from my body using the glutes to stabilize that leg. Squatting and BSS are on another level right know. It wasn't weak muscles, or damage or not enough stretching. Just a simple mind issue.
Thank you so much! I have had my ankle twisted hard so I can’t jump or bend my knee. This happend 3 weeks ago! I have some exercises for my knee, but I think this is a good exercise you have here! Thank you again!!!❤
I have serious yet manageable pain in front of my knee when I do sports. I will def try this exercise in hopes it will go away sooner than later. Thanks.
Green lipped mussel capsules for knee pain. Safe for daily use as well. My knee pain goes away after taking for 1-2 days and doesn't come back. This is very valuable information given to me by my friend.
I was having some shoulder impingement during flat bench, took the protocol of one of your videos and within 2 weeks, it was gone. I'm looking forward to similar results here. Thanks.
I’ve been doing these types of exercises for years now in an attempt to treat my patella tendinitis and a hamstring tendon issue with very limited success. Recently started doing isometric stuff like the runners hang, single leg wall sits and various hamstring isometrics and I’ve seen really good results. Definitely worth including.
Tks for the upload of this video as this exactly what I've got pain at the back causing a week knee & now I've got tennis elbow any idea how to fix this ???
I'm a pistol squat expert. I didn't realize it would fix my knee pain. Leg extension and deadlifts both helped in the past, but I haven't been going to the gym.
I have a question: My right ankle does some "crack" sounds, and my right feet is slightly rotated. I remember when I was young I injured it during a walk with my mom, but i don't feel any pain. I am overweight, feel some back pain and recently i noticed that if i try to run, sometimes I feel pain om the same feet just like if I had flat feet (which I don't) With that in mind, should i visit a doctor? I tried gym but it's not near the same thing as what you do to your patients.
As someone who recently go PCL reconstruction surgery and doing leg exercises for recovery. Thank you for this. Despite getting my mobility back, there is still some knee pain in my legs and I guess this is the what I need to do.
Correct! ... I damaged my left knee in summer and redamaged it two weeks later so it took months to recover to about 90% ability and I have realized the pistol squat is no longer plausible in my left leg and have been reworking the knee to regain the ability.
Single leg squats were a HUGE life savor when recovering from my femur surgery earlier this year. The muscles and tendons from my thigh/femur head area down to my patella were all fucked up from the accident, put in place by the surgeon, then just sitting from not being activated much until my PT started targeting them (started PT a month after surgery). That was one of the most important supports for my knee (along with everything else, of course). My PT got me right, i'll be doing these forever.
I fixed knee pain gradually through leg presses, holding each weight, for weeks if necessary, until the pain subsided, and then adding more weight. Started a couple of years ago at 40kg, now on 240 kg.
I have to do the single leg squats for PT following my hip replacements. They have not relieved my knee pain, as I am bone on bone arthritis in both knees and am waiting for my hips to heal so I can get my knees replaced next. I am a disabled veteran in my 50's...
Single leg squat is a whole new game. It's also amazing for balance. When progressed to pistol squats for the first time my quads on the leg in front of me contracted so badly. But few days later I was able to just do it again without problems. Consistency is key. Your muscles will adapt quickly.
I was taught single leg squats as a bar trick when I was kid . Start sitting on the ground with legs out . Bring one knee up , and using one leg bring your entire body up
