He was briefly as good as any fighter ever, yet not the greatest due to the briefness. He was only as good as the company he kept. It was the biggest waste of potential in boxing history. Even after he came out of prison and was able to re-obtain the title he was visibly slower, more awkward, and less agile. On Tysons best night he probably could’ve beaten Ali. 8 second fight.
    Tyson literally had just enough time to walk across the ring, throw a single punch, OVER.
    And he did this a hand full of times.
    Many of his fights were less than 1 min.
    Almost all of them didn't go past the first round.
    Mike Tyson was on another level than all other fighters before him, and after.
    Even now with him not in fighting shape, and older, I would not want to fight him.
    If fighters didn't wear gloves, Tyson would kill with a punch.

    • @Loebane
      @Loebane Рік тому +46

      Oddly enough, the gloves actually protect your hands and let you hit harder.

    • @Moraldog
      @Moraldog Рік тому +76

      Tyson talked about that, gloves actually allow for stronger punches due to lower risk of injury. There is a fight of Mike where he did the sneaky punch, punch to the liver and an instant blow into the face. Dudes face got smashed so hard he immiately gave up and stepped off the ring even tho his team and trainers wanted to go fight more. That evening he was in a hospital on a hard operation on his fractured skull. If he didn't go to ER he would die the next day.
