- The dendrobium collection has grown quite a bit since my last update. In general things are going well! Especially my latorias! By far my favorite type of dendrobium to grow.
I hope you enjoy this update!
Nice update Danielle some beautiful blooms on the last ones 👍😘
Thank you so much Stephen! I love my Latorias!

Good evening Nina! Thank you for checking out my video! Overall I am pleased with how I am doing with my Dendrobiums considering how afraid I was to grow them a few years ago.
Sending you lots of positive orchid vibes!
🌺🌱🌸 🥰😘
@@daniellesorchidranch1591 thank you 🙌🏼❤🙌🏼 have a lovely evening 😘
Do you fertilize your microchip?
You have an amazing collection of dendrobiums! Thanks for another great informational video. xxo
Thank you for watching! So glad you enjoyed it!!
That is a wonderful collection 😃 It is a shame your favourite. Why do these things always happen with the ones we cherish 😔. Lovely blooms too. Those long roots, oh wow, happy Dendrobium 😃
Yes, I definitely missed something with that one. Such a shame 😔 hopefully I will find her again someday.
Thank you so much for watching! I saw you had some new Phalaenopsis that you put in WC! I love how much they seem to enjoy growing this way.
Have a great weekend!
@@daniellesorchidranch1591 It is very gratifying to watch them transition so well. Unfortunately one of those I recently bought in in the compost pile. The leaves started to drop right after purchase😞 I am getting a refund for it. Not my fault this time!!!! The nursery made an import recently from northern Europe and this one was in it. Most likely cold damage as the stem was soft. They will import some more when it gets warmer. So, I am waiting to replace the replacement 😁 Happy weekend to you too!!!
@@FernandaNascimentoOrchids it’s so disappointing when we lose a plant! I am so glad the supplier is going to send you a replacement!
Danielle,I also have a fire wings and had since 2020 and all of a sudden was loosing leaves checked roots and they went bad so I cut them all off and treated with peroxide ok should I put her in a little bit of water with pebbles or bark yours look really good in water culture how do I do this to save her. Any help thank you
You should do whatever you feel most comfortable with.
If you’d like to try water culture with this plant you can easily do so. Just put some pebbles on the bottom and rest the bottom of the plant on them. When you water just bring the water to the top of the pebbles. If you feel like this is not hydrating it enough you can try spraying the base of the plant every once in a while, just be careful not to get the water in any new growth as this can rot the growth. I believe Firewings is a latoria type, since that is the case just be careful not to keep the base/new roots constantly saturated when the weather is cold because it will kill the root system.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
"I haven't ordered from any orchid nurseries for over a year"
😲 don't worry, I bought enough for both of us 🤣
Well someone had to 😂
I went on the hunt for the Oriental Smile “Fantasy” because of your video. 😀 It’s currently available through Ritter Tropic 1 and on eBay through springwaterorchids. Hope you are able to replace your prized dendrobium!
How nice of you to do that for me!!! Thank you 😊
