Well done on this review. A mate of mine has got one of these drawer fridges from Kings and loves it, and it's amazing how well they fit into the back of the Ute. Looks like it was made for it.
Hi mate, Yeah it’s not bad. I filmed this about 8months ago and have since changed it again for the trip to the tip Thanks for watching and commenting Cheers
Hi mate, Thanks for watching and providing some info. I still have the kings upright aswell, using drawer as a freezer for trip to cape to next month. Cheers Craig
Drawer fridges are great. I love my Dometic CD-30. I have packed mine with drinks, Meat and other refrigerated items to do upto 10 days Solo. The trick is with drinks is to keep a few in there but replace them as you go, for example each beer you drink, grab a warm one from the case and put it in the fridge. I keep 6 small bottles of water and 6 cans plus my food. Try and freeze things as flat as possible as well, you will get more in and if it can be stored out of a fridge do that. As for the Amp drawer, Mine claims about the same as what the Kings one does and it would be about right once it is down to temp. I find mine shuts on and off, it might cycle for 5 minutes at a time, twice an hour depending on external temps. Also if you don't want things freezing up keep an eye on it as even mine will freeze things up pretty easy, especially things up the back.
lovely ep and hopefully it works well for you. We have the 50lt Kings chest freezer once you get up the Cape in the hotter weather I had to run ours on Max not Eco in the settings to get it to freeze to -10 and shut off, Ours draws 3 to 4 amps running
Yeah mate 4amps is about normal for this size unit. The more food you have in it the more efficient it will run once everything is frozen, that’s why I’m freezing at home before the trip.
Hey mate. I've got one of these also. Haven't tried it personally as a freezer yet but the reviews are terrible as a freezer. As a fridge it's been great so far.
Hey mate, Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve only just reinstalled it and running ok at -10. I’m planning on pre freezing everything first cape York trip. I’m a fridge mechanic by trade so think it will hold temperature as long as not to much food product added that is not already down to temp, Cheers Craig
Hi mate, I actually did this recording about 8months ago and just for trip to cape York next month. I have recently put it back in canopy and it’s going well. I’m a fridge mechanic by trade so happy with it performance so far. 5 yr warranty couldn’t pass it up for the price Thanks again
The temp should not affect the amps drawn by the compressor all it means is that the lower the temp the longer it draws throat amount of amps. Any fridge will run more efficiently when it’s loaded with product/food as the product hold’s temperature meaning the interior cabinet stays cold longer hence less need to cycle on. Hope that makes sense
I’m just on gvm at 2700. I’m making a few changes for trip to cape as I will have a passenger so I have to lose some stuff and some other mods that will be shown over next couple of months
@@ottouring yeh pretty much all dual cab utes that are setup for touring need a gvm upgrade. I’ve got half the gear u have on yours and I’m at 2.63t with just myself in the vehicle.
@@gregdogg10 yeah it’s bloody hard to keep an eye on it. As I said I’ve made a few changes recently to ensure my weight. I’ll be removing a few more things for the trip as well.

Hey mate,
Thanks for feedback.
I’ve only just put it back in the canopy in preparation for cape York trip and I’m really happy with it.
Good addition to your setup, Craig. It really suits it sitting on top of the drawer you already have. 👍

Replace any kings product Anderson plug with a good brand they go soft and break quite quickly , great review keep em coming
Hi mate,
Thanks heaps for the advice.
I haven’t used it much but recently put it back in ready for the trip to the tip.
Had mine for a couple of years, fantastic fridge. They are made by Indel B so it's easy to find any info you need.

Mine set to 02⁰C pulls 5.4A when running according to my Hardkorr Bluetooth 135Ah LiFePO4 battery.
