What size screws u use to fix into ceiling?
Hi To be honest I forget it was nearly 2 yrs ago I think they were only 8g and probably only 15mm. They were not big as the fan is not that heavy
Nice one Craig, Cheers Steve
Thanks mate. I’m doing a few tag alongs in coming weeks including a day on Stockton beach and then a couple nights up at Kylie’s beach
Good review 👍
Cheers mate
That vid waz fucking amazing, cheers mate. Fuck yea Australia
Thanks for watching and taking time to leave comment. I really appreciate it
Very informative and honest review, thanks for sharing buddy, I think it's expensive for what it is
Hi mate. Just trying to be as honest as I can and keep my integrity. Rather be honest with everyone.
@ottouring no absolutely, great stuff buddy
@@louiskudlak2256 thanks for your support
@@louiskudlak2256 my last chair was almost as much and it collapsed under me and I almost damaged the boys😳 whilst up at cape York.
@ottouring I got a similar small compact chair from bunnings for $50 but my go to regular chair is one from anaconda for about $75 with the built-in foot rest, had about 5 now
Great spot but there are a lot of snakes many people have been bitten there. Tigers browns and red bellies. Be careful of a night.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ve never seen one there.
@@ottouring My daughter was bitten by a tiger snake at night. She survived.

I happened to see your video here. I am from North Eastern Tennessee and just got thru with Helene's disaster. This product presentation is excellent as I watched your entire video. Nice video. You did a great job on this new product. Wishing you and the product much success.
Hi and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I hope you and your family are safe.. this would be ideal for this situation if you lost mains power you could still charge small items of the Allpowers power station. Stay safe
Hopefully you might subscribe to my channel and watch see some beautiful Australian scenery such as Fraser Island series (the worlds largest sand island) or Victorian high country hut crawl series I did. Thanks again
I'm glad he said Velcro straps as the loud sound of Velcro tearing apart really confused me.
Thanks
Thank you
Great video buddy, handy piece of gear
Thanks mate. Yeah I’m really impressed with it. It’s now going to be a part of every trip just to keep batteries for GoPro and phone fully charged and a few other things . Thanks for watching
It’s actually made to suit the kings tourer soft top so dimensions are made to fit that. Agree though that they should have some to suit the mk3
Hi thanks for letting me know maybe they should advise people when they buy it. That’s what they sold me for my rtt. I know it’s kings but still make one that fits. Thanks for watching and commenting. I really appreciate it. Travel safely
@@ottouring yeh I agree. It does say it suits tourer rtt when you buy it individually but then it doesn’t when you buy it as a bundle with the MK3
I have been enjoying your videos, mate. Thank you for speaking openly about men’s mental health as well, and helping to break down the stigma around men speaking honestly about their feelings. That’s great stuff. I hope things are going well for you and this trip helped give your mind some more peace 👍🏻
Hi mate, Thanks for taking the time to watch and also comment. I really appreciate that. Yes mens health and mental health is a big thing and taking time to be mindful is something I’m now passionate about. Cheers Craig
Hey Craig was just wondering if you could send me the coordinates for the spot and for 125r aswell. Love the channel mate hope to catch up on a camp with you cheers
Hi mate. 125r should come to on most maps. The black stump is my little getaway that’s not marked in maps however is popular and pretty easy to find if you spend a bit of time looking for it. Hope you understand Cheers Craig
@@ottouring ok thank you for the info mate take care
Lovely ep and review, I always think of buying a RTT for my Solo camping and fishing and hunting trips up north, but the money for one just does not add up for me, I have a second hand Cot Tent, sure its not perfect but I paid $50 at a garage sale and fitted a new mattress. it lives in my 5m tinny when traveling,
I have a rtt but not kings or a clam shell, I’ll be getting a mat for mine, thanks for sharing buddy
Hi mate, Thanks for watching and commenting. Yeah rtt does limit the boat on top.
Roger from Berowra. That campsite looks epic! You went through the Gorge?
Hi mate Which gorge was that

Hi mate. Yeah mate I’m happy with how it turned out. I’ve had a number of issues with the dcdc charger though and will be putting in another brand. Yeah I paid full price for it. I won’t be using that brand again in the future though.
Lovely ep and cook up
Thanks mate. I really wasn’t sure about this one but it turned out ok. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it Cheers Craig
Lovely ep and tips, Is there a reason you never put a bit of grease or neverseize on the the threads
Hi Craig, Yeah I probably should have explained that. It’s so the bolts don’t seize in when tightened especially as this was before the cape York trip and the car was going to numerous creek crossings. It should make it easier if ever needed to be removed again. Cheers Craig
@@ottouring You lost me did you use some grease or never sieze, I always use it on my gear , and wheel nuts to I operated trucks carring wet river sand out of the creek if you never put Antysieze or grease on the treads they seize on,
@@craigtomkinson2837 yeah I put never seize on thread to prevent the bolts seizing
@@ottouring Great stuff
Craig that was a great video. Explained everything clearly. I was easily able to follow along and would be confident to complete this job just by following your advise. Well Done! 🙂👍
Hi mate. Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate that. Glad you were able to follow along and it made sense. There will be more Hilux repairs and maintenance coming. Cheers Craig
Hello Craig!! It's always something mate🎉 New computer and starter for jeep and some wiring I done myself. I feel you🧰🔧😎 Safe travels 🗺️🚌
Thanks 👍
Great video and good camera angles! The last starter motor I changed was on my Hilux. I don’t know how but the actual alloy housing had snapped through and the starter fell out! I’m not a mechanic either but I’ve saved thousands of dollars over the years by doing 98% of my own work on my vehicles. I’ve accumulated a pretty extensive toolbox in that time too. Bigger jobs like the timing belt etc, I’ll be leaving to the experts but pretty much anything else I’ll have a crack at.
@patelliott8724 Hi mate, Thanks heaps for taking the time to watch and also the feedback. I really appreciate it. Cheers Craig
I’ve got an 2009 hilux done 275 000, I’ll probably change mine when needed, save some $$$, thanks for sharing

Thanks heaps mate. Hope you are doing well
There are some amazing lookout's up there that's for sure. About 20-50m down from Lookout Point there is another little one, I think that is actually the official one where as where you stopped was a Hang Glider Launch. Had a mate in a 2wd Ranger down there at the end of Winter. He got in & out ok but you need clearance for sure. How was Taylors Rd with the Lantana? Last time I drove it the road was covered in it. Kyes Lookout, I've never heard of that one so would be interested to know the location. Track looks interesting though so I will be going with someone else lol.
Hi mate I’ll try and remember where it was and msg you

Good vid Craig, some nice lookouts out there Thanx for sharing 👍Looking forward to more vids keep them coming
Hi, Thanks heaps for watching Hope you guys are going well. Cheers
I'm suprised no one has made a heating element that is under the RTT to help evaporate condensation. Like how some people bathrooms have heated floors. I know they do this for warmth on their feet vs condensation in bathroom. However I know this would help when you can turn on and off.
Hi. I like yr thinking.
I've been travelling 9 months on the road I purchased the kings touring mk111 brand new it's fitted to my turbo diesel pajero wagon absolutely 💯 perfect unit in all situations
Yeah I live mine. But mid winter just check u fee yr mattress
Aeromesh sorts it
I ended up getting a kings anti condensation mat. A review coming soon Cheers Craig
You're right on the money, Craig. You have to have those condensation mats under your mattress. I always used to area my rooftop tent when I got home from camping. It's not so much of a problem now because I don't have a rooftop tent, but you'll have the same situation happen to you in a swag on a stretcher. Keep up the good work. I will see you in the next video.
Cheers mate. Thanks for watching and sharing your knowledge Have a great day
Cool Ep and info
Thanks mate. Hopefully it provided enough info for people.
Great information buddy, where’d you get your condensation mat from?
Hi mate. Thanks heaps. Hope you going ok. I ended up just getting the kings one. A video will come in a few weeks about it positives and negatives Cheers Craig
Great work Craig. Did you get the itechworld bundle for this? Or did you buy the components individually?
Hi mate. I ended up with the pack. I originally purchased the battery as was advised it would work with my old set up. It didn’t. So I ended up getting the rest as a bundle deal. 2 faulty dcdc chargers later and I have a redarc one from a mate so I can finish the trip
nice work , the worst part about these control boxes is you cant see the dcdc lights
That’s if they work at all. 2 failed units in 8 weeks
@@ottouringare you saying the MPPT unit on the control box failed 2 times already? I just got this setup that’s no bueno to hear 😭
@@R1P5 yeah first dcdc charger failed after about 3 weeks. Had to buy new controller box for my trip away due to time restraints and time for warranty claim and then the 2nd unit failed after 1 week. A follower who is an authorised installer than checked and confirmed installation was correct and dcdc unit faulty. He supplied me another brand dcdc unit and this has worked perfectly. Due to headboard setup I’ve purchased another control box without dcdc and will fit another brand to setup.
@@ottouring thanks for the reply.. Well guess I better count my lucky stars. You’re the first person I’ve heard come out and say you’ve had dramas . I went this brand as I hadn’t seen nor heard any negative feedback on products. Appreciate your honesty and keep up the great vids 👍🏻
@R1P5 I was the same Not sure all reviews are shown?. Others have msg me on my Facebook regarding issues
Looks mint legend 😊
Cheers
Looks good, very professional
Yeah a bit of time was spent on it
Looks good apart from the 240V charger will never be recognised by the shunt. Need to move the negative wire to P- on shunt.
Hi mate, Yeah decided for me there was no need to connect 240ac charger to shunt as I know what the input would be. More about the output and usage
@ottouring yeah just a pain to reset everytime though.
Great job on the wagon conversion. The centre diff lock is not like the diff locks that we are use to hearing about. It does not lock the cross axle diffs but rather the front and rear axles so that they get 50% torque each. In regards to payload, the Defender actually has one of the best payload, especially for a wagon and for coils. It is actually on par with a Toyota single cab 79 series (after you add a tray). Also Australia did not get the crew cab Defender in a 110 until much later, so there would not be many TD5s as a crew cab, pretty cool. The Xtreme edition had a few differences to the standard Defenders. These differences varied quite a lot but some came with alloy rims, Traction Control, ABS, Metallic Paint(which looks great but doesn't fair very well in the aussie sun, air con, side steps, LR factory bullbar and towbar, later ones usually had electric windows, and of course the sticker. The motor is 5 cylinder engine which was quite different to the prior and next models which were 4 cylinders.
You should reach out to Darren and have a chat as both are enthusiast of these vehicles.
@@ottouring I am sure we will cross paths at a Land Rover event one day.
@@LandySmurf His a great guy and would be quiet happy to chat
I bought a Kings Rooftop tent and it completely broke due to wind resistance while driving combined with poor manufacturing. Initially in one email they made up a story about the damage appearing to have occurred because of how I dismounted the tent (despite me having shown photos of the damage whilst still mounted and the fact that I only dismounted the tent because of the damage). My warranty claim was then rejected based on another false allegation that I misused the tent regarding the transit straps and cover, for which there are no instructions in the user manual. My experience is poor quality design and a company that makes up scenarios to avoid responsibility. I would stay clear of all of the Kings Rooftop tents and other products
Hi mate, That’s not good to hear. I’ve returned 2 products under warranty and both times replaced on the spot.
