Ariel, you and Clay are doing a FANTASTIC job on your land. It's come so far! I wouldn't mind a live stream. I honestly prefer when UA-camrs just answer the most popular questions. Pick some questions you get a lot and do what you did today. Sit in the shade by the babbling Brook so we can hear it and the wind through the trees. Such a lovely sound ❤️
Have a great day and I hope your temperatures drop to a more enjoyable feeling for you

My wife and I carved a home out of some wooded acreage here in western Washington over the last 34 years. It will surprise you how fast the time goes by and things get done. The evergreen trees I planted all the years ago are now are 24” + across at the stump and tall and beautiful. Large garden and fruit trees, It’s amazing. We love what we’ve ended up with and you will too! Enjoy the journey.

When you are your own boss you have to remember that breaks, rest, and saying no is in your interest in the long run. My husband just started his own business and I have to remind him that the reason he did this is not to be used up by others so he shouldn't use himself up either. Your new place looks amazing and reflects your hard work. I live on 6 acres and I am older so I always feel overwhelmed. If you can work it in, a Q and A thing with you and Clay would be great. From what I've observed with all the youtube channels I watch, is that homesteading is a 24 hour a day job. I also learned that from the farmers I grew up around. They never took vacations, they were always busy doing something on their farms. There's nothing on a farm you can just go off and leave, not animals, or gardens or field crops, etc. You are very wise to realize that you have achieved so much AND you and Clay have achieved so much. Like happiness, farming is a journey not a destination...continue to take time to "stop and smell the roses." 🙂

I'm glad that you take time to sit by the stream and be refreshed. I'd like to encourage you to plan into your landscape, sitting places so that you can sit and view and enjoy the fruits of your labour. We did not do that at our last home and it became a place that I started to resent because it was only a place of work, never enjoyment. Our new home we are trying to correct that and we spend more time outside, working & playing, as a result.

Don't worry about a low video because we don't mind. We love that you share a life many of us would love to do. I so appreciate the wildlife, beautiful scenery and adventures in your life. You both are very hard working and accomplish so much more than the average Joe. Your property is lovely and coming along nicely. LOVE the sounds of the creek. Hang tight we really enjoy your efforts.

Your progress is stunning and praise-worthy, so please go gentle on yourself. A live stream would be great. One thing I've learned by watching live streams on other channels is that it's good to have someone capable to moderate the chat so that things don't go the wrong direction (spammers, etc.). I was actually thinking of you this morning when I had to walk down my driveway to the mailbox--it's 600 feet from the house which is not that far but when you're older and ill, it's not so easy; plus it was 90 F at 10 AM with high humidity so the Heat Index was about 106. I love Mississippi and our long, long summers but it was even a bit much for me--your highs in the 80's sound blissful but I'm sure that they are not for someone like you who prefers the chilly days.

I feel the same way about summer in Wyoming as you do! Summer comes on so fast and then it's gardening, recreation, general repairs that need to be done outside, and then it's time to cut wood for winter! You two are very ambitious and have gotten so much accomplished. It's important to stop and enjoy the little things in life too.

I laughed out loud at your answer! I’m out in the garden listening while potting plants up. I’ll be thinking of questions and let you know them. I’d have to say, I’ve learned so much of things I didn’t even know I didn’t know, that even though i grew up on a farm in PA and started two homesteads (Modoc county CA and Pipestone, MT) you have really opened my mind to learn new things!
