The Nespresso Vertuo Next has an innovative brewing system that recognizes each capsule and automatically adjusts its brewing to create its signature full-bodied coffee topped with a smooth crown of crema. The machine takes roughly about 15-20 seconds to heat up before it dispenses the coffee. There is only one button on the machine which has many features built into it by pressing it a certain number of times.
With 28 blends available ranging from a 40ml espresso to a 414ml Alto large cup size. There are five different cup sizes to choose from:
Espresso - 40 ml (1.35 oz)
Double Espresso - 80 ml (2.7 oz
Gran Lungo - 150 ml (5 oz)
Coffee/Mug - 240 ml (7.7 oz)
Alto - 414 ml (14 oz)
The Nespresso Vertuo Next also comes with Bluetooth/Wifi connectivity, however, this is NOT required to operate the machine. You can watch my video on how to set up the Bluetooth/Wifi here: • Nespresso: How to Add ...

The Aeroccino 3 Milk Frother is used for hot and cold milk. With up to 4oz used to create froth milk and 6oz for no frothed milk.
The Aeroccino 3 Milk Frother is very quiet and is a great addition to the Nespresso Vertuo Next.
The temperature of the coffee from the Nespresso Vertuo Next came out to only 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which is not very hot at all, however, this can be overcome by pre-heating the mug with hot water beforehand.
The Nespresso Vertuo Next comes with a 1.1 Litre or 37oz water tank, a container which can hold up to 10 espresso size or 6 mug size used capsules, a drip tray and a three height-adjustable cup holder. Since Nespresso has designed the machine to be very slim and lightweight, I did find that some of the materials used were not very durable, notably the water tank and the cup holder. The Nespresso Vertuo Next is also very loud, however, I’m not sure if it is just this model or if all Nespresso coffee machines are loud!
The lid of the Nespresso Vertuo Next requires a little extra force to open and close, but I’m hoping that it will become easier the more I use it. The machine also comes with an automatic capsule ejection feature. Just remember to empty out the container and remove any liquid from the drip tray.
The Nespresso Vertuo Next model is the latest Nespresso machine available in 2020 and seems to be a popular Christmas gift for 2020. Great for coffee lovers and coffee connoisseurs.

You presented a very thorough and thoughtful review. I’ve watched a lot of videos concerning the Nespresso, so I was surprised that I learned something. I didn’t think there was anything new, but I kept watching (I’m really trying to convince myself to make the purchase, so this is my way of coping). Anyway, I appreciate the detailed tips such as how heavy the lid is and the fact that water accumulates and must be cleaned from beneath the used pod container. Thank you.

Our Vertuo Next Deluxe made by Breville leaked into the capsule tray during the first 3 weeks so I received a refund and upgraded to the Vertuo Plus made by Delonghi. It's a quieter, smoother running machine making nicer looking and better tasting coffee and especially in regards to the crema. Nespresso explained to me that there were a batch of faulty Next machine made and they are sending out 3 boxes of complimentary pods as well for the inconvenience caused. I personally feel that the Vertuo Next has issues that need to be sorted out first before putting onto the marketplace and many people are saying the same thing in their reviews. The Vertuo Plus is a much nicer machine and especially with the motorised lid.
We just set our new machine up, and it not at all loud. Maybe you have sensitive hearing. Great Demo for newbies though. Well done @Meem

Yeah, I feel like they took a step backwards with this design! 🙄
So, when understanding extraction, there is a certain amount of power/process in order to brew coffee. When at an actual coffee shop when a barista is making you an espresso or cappuccino from those beautiful chrome machines there's definitely quite a sound due to the pressure (extraction system). WE are talking Europe here. So when you have at at home component that is quite powerful - the centrifusion tech with Nespresso Vertuo Next - sound is pretty much expected. If you don't want the sound, then you don't want the quality extraction gained by the power/tech involved in these units. (For their origialine it's a 19 point extraction pressure system -- that's no joke people). If these person doing the video knew more about coffee extraction, those points would have been covered. Also, I have the Pixie and the aeroccino 4. Both aeroccino 3 and 4 have the same interior and YOU NEVER USE MEDAL ON THE INSIDE TO GET THE FOAM as you risk scratching the unit's interior. Use a small wood spoon or and small rubber spatula. Also, there's an easy recycling program as Nespresso supplies you with recycling bags that you can take to participating stores/retailers when full and/or UPS to recycle all the capsules. They are very good about this as all parts of the capsules are recycled. That's all worth mentioning really outside of what this young lady does. Not a very thorough job/review done here, but I do see that she brewed a few lovely/yummy cups of coffee.
Great video thank you. Classic Nespresso machines are not that loud and we also had the previous Vertuo that wasn’t that loud at all. We were as astonished as you by the noise it makes. It also gives less Crema than the Classic Vertuo machine.

The Vertuo system spins the capsule very fast to create a centrifuge effect for extracting coffee and creating a lot of Crema. The standard capsule system does not and uses a high pressure pump to create Crema.

Thank-you for such an insightful and informative tutorial. I learned a lot from watching you. I believe, however, that it is not advised to remove frothed milk from the Aeroccino 3 with a metal spoon. I was reading the instructions before use, and I think they suggest a plastic spoon, I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but wonderful video. It was extremely helpful, thanks.

Buy a bean to cup machine ...you can biy any type of expensive or budget beans you wish and save thousands of dollars in 1 year. Nespresso pods are tooo expensive , prices go up every 3 months...disgusting.

After using my Vertuo machine the first time I contacted Nespresso to ask If the noise was normal for the machine the guy I spoke to couldn’t help me at all but after watching UA-cam I’ve found the noise is quite normal..but finding some of the coffee capsules quite bitter..
Yeah, some of the higher intensity ones are quite bitter. Try the Voltessa much milder.

You’re welcome and thanks for the comment. The only way to get hot water would be to run ‘a cleaning cycle’ by pressing the button three time.. as shown here 1:35 hope that helps.

Where did you find this color “white”? Because Nespresso didn’t produce Vertuo Next in this color
It's not really white. It was a light grey and I ordered it directly from Nespresso Canada. But that was a couple of years ago, not sure if they still make this colour.

Hi, question: after rinsing for the first use, is there supposed to be some water left inside the machine where the capsule goes? Or do I need to remove that?
Hi. I’m not sure whether there is supposed to be water in there, but yes some does end up in there every time u brew. However it doesn’t seem to be removable to clean. Ours was loud and had leakage problems into the capsule tray so we have since upgraded to the Vertuo Plus made my Delonghi which has the automatic, motorised lid and it's a much better machine.

You did a great job with this video. I have 3 Nespresso machines (2 Original Line & 1 Vertuo Line Next) and they are all on the noisy side. Especially with the Original Line machines working with the high amount of pressure for the espresso pods. The manual operation of the Next open/close should become easier with use. That’s how my machine was. Enjoy.

I purchased a Vertuo Next brand new directly from Nespresso... It lasted 11 days then died! No signs of life at all! Lollll

Unfortunately this machine has had a lot of issues, you may need to get in touch with Nespresso customer service and they should let you know next steps, it's better to get it replaced.

Compared to the other non essential jargon other youtubers used to review this machine, ive had quite the opposite experience with this review. The directness and explanation was extraordinarily well spoken and informative. Although I can see how it may come off as robotic, I believe that is more of a compliment and not an insult to the poster.
