THE MOST VALUABLE DOLLAR IN EXISTENCE - 'Spivack' 1976 Error Dollar
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 гру 2018
- There are many dollars that are worth a lot of money, but this one probably takes the cake in terms of the most valuable dollar floating around for any of the valuable modern dollar coins. This coin is ONE OF A KIND - only one such Spivack dollar has been found in existence. In essence, the coin is a Type 2 Proof Silver 1976 Error Bicentennial lacking an S Mint Mark, a bizarre conglomeration of varying errors. Look out for this one in your change or in sets - it was discovered well after its production in a department store. If you find this dollar in pocket change or coin collections worth big money, you could come away with immense riches. The coin is worth around $450,000 and very well could be worth much more if interest in the series rises in the future. Look out for rare coins and rare dollars in your pocket change - you never know what you'll get!

Hey Christian, Justin here. Really great video! One slight edit is that you mention the coin was purchased for around $450k. That is just the PCGS Price Guide value. But I can confirm that offers have been turned down into the low 7 figures.
Keep up the awesome content! Subscribed! :D
Wow! Glad you were able to find the video. I'm going to pin this comment since it's some really cool info you added - appreciate your stopping in!

Fantastic story. Will be on the lookout for my special Ike Dollar!
Thanks! Good luck picking one out of circulation!
Hi Christian, I have this coin. It's in mint condition and hardly even touched by human hands. It's been in a baggie since the 70's. A gift from my uncle and I never looked at it until today. I also have over 500 1964 Kennedy coins, around 400 Benjamin Franklin coins and a lot of them are in pristine condition. I'm going through all my coins to sell so i can officially retire. -Maya
Hey, I just stumbled on this video. I have a 1976 silver dollar with no mint mark on it and am curious what the value could be. Where do I go to find out more.
Ben S same I have no idea were it came from it just showed up on my nightstand
@@yetiduckjrps4776 I have two of them
I have one also. But I think the deal breaker will be the weight. Christian explains and has it printed on the video.
I have a bicentennial dollar, type 2, no s. If this worth anything, or the coin mentioned in the video?
Wow ty for sharing.
I have a 1976 proof dollar coin with s mint mark it weights 24.6 grams...im confuse because in the video u show 22.70 should b the weight on it...and also what amount of silver is in it...thanks and hope to hear from u on this coin.

Merry Christmas! to you as well! Glad you enjoyed.
It's amazing to me how people can watch a video like this and in the comments I read, "Oh I have one or I've got 3 of them." It's either a big joke for them or that didn't pay attention to the video. I'm thinking of the word "idiot" right now.
tell me how to post a pic and I'll show your smartass but watch your fuckin mouth with all those names n shit if you ain't willing or able to meet me face to face then don't call me out my fuckin name
@@bubbyhall2604 You don't have to post a pic. Tell us exactly how many grams your coin weighs. Also, dude, chill. It's a hobby. It's actually you who should watch your mouth.
Great and enjoyable. Something to take a time out to dream about. Then get out and hunt for.
Exactly! I probably won't find one but now I'm double checking in hopes of a lucky score!
@Treasure Town
I think I may have a type 2 no mint mark 1976 bicentennial dollar. It’s got a little gash above the A in STATES on the back on the coin. There is no mint mark on the front. Not even a faded S or D. What should I do?? My grand father was a servicemen and said he always kept it in his wallet and was givin to me when he passed in 2006. I’ve kept it tucked away for many years until a few days ago when I found it and decided to look it up and see if it was worth anything. Is there any way to definitively tell if this is a type one or type 2 coin?? It has skinny lettering not bulky thick lettering. There was a mark on the dollar in this video by the bell on the left hand side. Would that mark be on all the rare coins??
I am so glad I bumped into your channel. I do really hope I got this rare coin you highlighted in the video. I hope I can buy a buyer on this thru this channel.v Thank you.
QUESTION: What if I have a type 2 1976 with no Mint mark but it only weighs 22.7 G. Please answer!
I wouldn't go by the weight.
Awsome video thanks for the information later
Thanks Gums... Merry Christmas!
I have one with no S mint mark just like the one on the right and it weighs 23.14 grams. What do I need to do to get it certified ?

Hi I live in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and I have a Bicentennial dollar coin with with no markings and one with an error. Were do you suggest I take it for estimate value.
I have one that is a 24 Karat gold plated, no mint mark Bicentenial Ike dollar. Also it's a type 2 the t's in states are slanted on the ends..,,what do you think?
Hm. To be honest, it probably isn't worth anything over face value. (Maybe $1.25, but it wouldn't be worth the time to sell it for that. I've gotten a few and spend them, preferably as a tip or to someone who'd find it interesting).
Hey! I have this coin in a D mint mark. What's the value on that
I have a bicentennial Eisenhower dollar with a certificate of authenticity and I am not finding a mint mark on it. Is that good?
Is it a proof strike?
More than likely, anyone who says "I have some of these!", actually have the common Philadelphia mint version, as they didn't begin putting their mintmark on the coins (still none on pennies) until 1982! Smh Lol
Sir did you buy 1776- 1976 dollar coin ? Cause i have how much is worth ? Its like type 2
Hola, tengo esa Moneda 1776-1976, la tipo 2 ,sin la S. Esta en muy buen estado y disponible para la venta
I remembered that i had a dollar coin and decided to look it up if it was rare or not, mine does not have the s mint mark! im not sure if i should keep it.

Thank you for your videos I have the non S mark i got bless with it I have the collectible edition
What do you mean by mid make. I found a 1776 1976 dollar looks like one on the right. Can you tell me more about the mid make.
There is also two different kinds of letters that go around the coin. One kind is more block and thick and the second kind of letters are skinny letters.
What is the value of type II without the S if it’s copper clad . I have this coin not sure if it’s copper or silver
It's worth 450k
Oh my The Man that got it at a Woolworths Lunch counter in DC? The last time we had a wool worth here in my small city was the late 60's. By 1970 it was gone along with so many others. I don't know when they disappeared from other Cities, but the chances of finding another one of these since the only one, in the 60's? Very unlikely, it was as you said, probably a once and done, as a gift to a Senator. Favors were cashed in to get that one coin made. Then the Senator spent it! That's funny!
So I have 15 of these coins, 12 of them are the ones on the right, block lettering, no mint mark, faint jaw lines. Where can I get mine graded, authenticated, and document, and appraised?
I have one in my hands right now, I know your probably thinking Im mistaken but I could use your help figuring out what to do next

Hey mate i have a coin and it looks like the rare one like identical how can u tell if its the type 1 or type 2
So the special rare one is both a non mint mark example on top of being one of the special polish versions?
A bigger display of the coins would be very helpful

Hey Christian,
Would you be willing to look at a picture of a no-mint marked Eisenhower bicentennial dollar that I've found and tell me why coin dealers have told me it's worth a dollar but other experts online like yourself say it's worth 500K or more? Would you be willing to help me figure this out? How do we discuss privately?
I believe I have this coin. If so how do I get it looked at and sell? I don't know much about this stuff, and I would like your advice on what step to take next.

Hey guys I have a 1776 . 1976 dollar coin its not in clean condition however it does not have the s mark on it at all how much should I be able to get for it if I take it to a coin shop
I have found 3 type 2 no mint mark bicentennial silver dollars in my dads coin collections. Surely he doesn’t have 3 of these super rare coins. What am I missing?
The important factor is the proof strike (as opposed to the regular business strike)
Hey I have a 76 and the edge doesn’t have any copper but there’s no s mark so does that mean I have one of the super rare ones?
It has to be a proof strike! But if so you might have it.
Doesn't have to be no ment mark with the small lettering and not the big block letters also for it to be worth more?
Fun and informative video! Great job I really enjoyed it :) GL & HH
Sir do you need type 2 no S mint mark?
i have the coin with no s mark yet online appraisal company’s tell me it’s not worth anything, what should i do, could I find a way to show you the coin
It needs to be proof - you can send a photo and I'll let you know.

Hi I have one dolor 1776-1976 No mark Can you help me if I have The correct one. Thank you very much.
Hey so if I have one without a mint mark S.. is this mean I’ve got one very special coin
Check the dates for the coin (s) in question, you can Google them then make sure they weigh right and can find out what their mint marks are soposed to be.
Good luck with your coins !☺
Don't forget that paper money can have errors and cool serial numbers.
I came across two of these coins and one of them has a mint mark and one doesnt where can I take them to sell them for the money they are worth
I have one that was in my grandmothers closet along with some half dollars coins with Kennedy on them. I hope I have a rare one it doesn’t have the s mint mark on it.
What exactly does it weigh? The half dollars are worth 50 cents each. Spend them or keep them. Doesn't matter.

I just phoned a coin shop in south florida the shop said they just take this coin to the bank and deposit them lol I have one that is a type 2 and I cant see a " mint mark " does this mean im rich?

hello guys, i want to know more about s mint mark, can anyone tell me plz , its look like i have two of those without s mint mark
Hi I made a comment on your most recent video trying to reach out. You said in this video if someone has this coin to alert you. I would love to connect with you and share my findings. Thanks
Hi! Is it the Proof No S coin? Often a lot of people have a business strike without the mint mark, which is common, as opposed to the proof with deep reflective fields.
@@TreasureTownCoins hey, it's the type 2 no mint mark, same everything as shown in the video and another video I watched. Everything seems to be the exact same. I'm happy to send pics of em. This is not my specialty but I do think it's the same coin. I certainly don't wanna waste anyone's time.
I was bartending & our cleaning lady at the time had done a separate job cleaning an elder persons home who passed. She was paid with silver dollars. When she came in the bar she was complaining how heavy her bag was so I bought them from her. That was in 2017 and I've had em since. The other day, I was cleaning out my drawer came across em. I can tell whoever collected these originally seem to be very deliberate with themes.
There is 5 of the no mint ones type 2
Several 1971 and one 1978 several dollar.
The others don't seem valuable or special from what I've been able to find. Idk enough really but I'm telling you I have not just one but five of those same coins with no mint mark.
Hey you know what, I just went back and listened again, thank you for including the proof or deep reflective. No these do not have a high mirror reflective material. Darn! Lol wouldn't that be nice. I didn't know what that means exactly but you cleared that up for me. I appreciate you taking your own time to help. If I come across anyone collecting coins or can send traffic your way just as a thank you, I'll be happy to do that!! I'll continue to watch and learn, thanks again
@@CreativeLivingLifestyles Thank you so much! Glad I could be of help - and that the comment was recommended to me as so often I miss them if I don't check my notifications right when they send (so to other people reading this just know that there are tons out there and it's challenging to get to all of em!)
I have 2 of them with no mint mark. Also I have one with a D. I also have a 1974 dollar with no mint mark as well.
I have three of them with no mint mark and one with the s mark and I have 1971 with no mint mark. So where do I found out how much they are worth
In all seriousness I believe I'm in possession of both of the coins you describe in the video. Their both in excellent condition. I'm a novice coin collector, so I'm not sure who I should take these coins to for a professional assessment. Any information would be much appreciated.
Mark Alvarado it’s fake srry bud
That would be awesome... have to make sure it's the proof version though.
Good Question, I am looking for some kind of Internet Hub where I can show a picture and use the feedback as a second opinion, as to whether I should spend the money to get it Graded or not. It's a good idea to get more than one opinion when deternining the value of your coins.
