    I don't think it was Maybrick myself. For me I lean towards Lechmere. Do I think Maybrick was an unfaithful, abusive husband with a drug problem? Absolutely. But he wasn't the Ripper and I think the diary is a fabrication.
    By the way,I only chanced upon this channel by accident (probably because I follow Tales From The Hangman's Record) and I think it's SUPERB. Too many of these sort of channels treat the victims of violent crime as a commodity. Yours and Vicky's respect for them and their resting places is refreshing and wonderful ❤

      Many thanks, Janet. We try our best to find as much as we can for each story. Yes, we will get things wrong from time to time, but all we ask is people to let us know in the correct way, and we can learn from our mistakes. We love the research, but it's going out to the locations that fornus makes the stories more interesting.

    I live in the U.S.A and I'm a BIG Horror fan too..I'm also into serial killers and Jack the Ripper history but I heard rumors,I don't know how true it is but they say HH Holmes could be Jack the Ripper? 🤷

    • @DaysofHorror
      @DaysofHorror  7 місяців тому +1

      I'm not sure if they worked out that HH Holmes was not in England at the time, but I could be wrong. He does sound a plausible suspect in terms of his history, the murders etc. and it wouldn't surprise me if something did come out in the future linking him more solidly to the murders.

      No, he was a British born and breed carman Charles Allen Lechmere (the guy who was found at the scene of Polly Nichols murder). QC James Scobie says the case against him is strong enough for a modern murder trial.

    Always amazes me that people want JTR to be someone famous, when in all likelihood it was someone who lived in whitechapel, probably imo, kosminsky. However, the maybrick diary is a great story, I'd like it to be true, maybe it is. If it's a hoax, it's a very well done hoax, by someone who knows both the maybrick story and the JTR story, both of which are very well known stories. I guess we will never know

    Hi, that was a better of a video. It's got me thinking a lot and doing some research along ways I never thought of. Thank you. One thing I would like to ask please, when the txt came up with plot numbers at the end, there were video suggestions covering it. If it's not too much trouble could you let me know the plot numbers please. No worries if not. I live round the corner and still haven't been to the cemetery, not sure why. Always wanted to. Been everywhere else but just a funny feeling about it I guess. X

    Hi Chris and Vicky day 4 of binge watching, oh wow my favourite subject, like you Chris I have been fascinated with Jack the ripper since childhood, did have a lot of books and stuff on him but someone borrowed them and I never got them back. I think your reasoning is a great thought, and I think your on the right line with his brother micheal. Makes so much sense, I am positive some were in the police archives they have some items from the victims and hopefully they could dna it and see if it matches anyone's theories. Again love your channel heart❤

      Jack the Ripper, although literally done to death over the years, is one I will occasionally go back to. Its just one of those subjects that seem to really get under my skin as it has everything. Okay, innocent ladies where killed and you do feel for them, obviously. But its the location, the time period (1800s), the not knowing who he (or she) was. It has everything I love in a good story.

    I’ve been past James Maybricks grave, many times. It’s a shame that its been smashed again by idiots who believe he was the Ripper. When I first saw it, the grave was in one piece, then two……..what next ?
    What’s wrong with people ?
    In saying that, it’s not much of a grave for such a wealthy man.
    Battlecrease house, in Riversdale road is really impressive.

    You forgot to talk about one very important fact that proves if James or indeed Michael was Jack the Ripper? Jack the Ripper had certain skills? Surgical precision skills who knew how to do surgery on his victims?

    @rachelhughes7277 2 місяці тому +1

    Thank you for your quick reply, I totally agree, I always watch new evidence when it comes out, there was one last year that says it might have been h b holmes, but I don't think it was, it's fascinating.
    Just finished watching your Alien photo you explored, I'd never heard of that one, which is quite strange as my partner is into ufos, I just love all your video's, and the young brother and sister who drowned the the now fenced off fishery, so sad, and loved the story of the Ratcliffe family with the evil stepmother, you are so diverse.
    And it's great to see that in a channel 😊

    • @DaysofHorror
      @DaysofHorror  2 місяці тому

      I love everything that has a mystery to it. We try to mix it up from time to time, as sometimes, just researching murders can be a bit heavy and wears you down. So UFO stories or ghoslty ones do break things up. Plus it helps I'm interested in that kind of thing too 😆

    I have just watched this video. Very interesting. Such a shame about the headstone. I am not convinced that James is the ripper. If he was drugged up and taking arsenic, I don't think he would have got away with the murders. The murderer was very clever. Were the victims random, or was it planned?
    It would be interesting to see what reaction you would get if you had the rods.

      I've been fascinated in the crimes of Jack the Ripper from a very early age, and I'm always drawn back to the story even when looking into other stories for our channel, if that makes sense. There is just so much to get into. I know we all will never agree on certain things when it comes to who we all think was the suspect, and its good we can all have different views and opinions on the matter.

    I have visited all the graves of 'the 5'. Two of which are almost directly opposite each other in the London Cemetery. In St Patrick's mot onlybos Mary Nicole's there but also Timothy Evan's (10 Rillington Place) & Stephen Lewis (Blakey from the sit-com On The Buses).
    People 'fit the pieces' to suite their own theories. & see what they want to see.
    Anyone know when the grave stone was vandalised? Or why?
    Serial killers done 'just stop' they are STOPPED, they don't retire or just 'give up', it's something they will always do as they can't help it.
    What happened to Michelle?

    Jack the Ripper . The only Suspects they never really looked into . Was there own Metropolitan Police . To many codes left for them . The letter M carved into the lady . There was never a Police man on site when it happened . And the code words about the Jews left on the Wall spelt differently . To Grab there attension . This man thought well ahead and knew where and when to Commit his Crimes . They were to busy looking towards Maybury . The Prince . But did they ever think they had a man among them selves . Its tricky but so was this man

Loved the walk through the beautiful cemetery and listening to your story. Some of those headstones were absolutely amazing! We may never know who Jack the Ripper actually was but it sure is fun to research and speculate. Thanks for the great video. Btw I loved hearing the bagpipes. 💜

    Aaron Kosminsky has a lot going as a suspect.
    Lechmere is possible but I have doubts as he continued to live and work in the area and was never suspected by the police. I would think they kept somewhat in touch with him after the first murder.

    The diary was proven to be a fake- the journal was original Victorian but the ink was modern so couldnt have been Maybricks- unless he time travelled!!
