What I like the most about this EZX is that it works amazingly well for other genres too. The original mix is phenomenal, as well as the presets. I think it’s my fav EZX so far. Great vid and great song, btw!
Wow man! you made that kit sing man. I’ve seen all your Toon track videos and they’re all incredible. I’ve had the death metal expansion for Close to 2 years and I didn’t really care much for it and then I seen your video on that kit and I was just blown away! so immediately started screwing around with it and my God it’s one of my favourites now. Wow thank you so much for that awesome feedback. You saying that really means a lot to me. Is all I honestly hoped when doing this is that someone found found them useful. You really just made my day. Thank you so much.
Thanks for video, very useful. Good track too! I've not long had EZ Drummer 3 but already can tell this would be a worthwhile addition, the snare sounds great in particular
Thank you. It is a great expansion. I just found that it needed a little tweaking to get the sound I wanted. It has a very broad, useful range though. More so then some of the other expansions. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I've been using this EZX and I absolutely love the Aurora and Aimless Drift kits. I've played around with my own presets starting with those 2 and they sound MASSIVE. Probably the best room sound I've ever heard in any EZ Drummer product. If you want that Albini sound this pack can give you that. I also found there are a lot more than 2 cymbals. The focus is definitely bigger Istanbul Agop cymbals, but there are more standard sizes in Paiste 2002's as well.
It is a great sounding kit! I was wondering if anyone would get confused by what I meant about the cymbals. I really should of worded it better. I just meant there are only two in the kit. I was looking at it from a mix perspective. I realise there are more then two in the expansion but I meant you can only use two at a time. Sorry about that. When I do these vids I’m looking at it from more of a song/mixing way. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Great demo! That snare pops nicely. As you said, I can see how this kit will fit with a wide variety of genres. So I could use this for my Rock/80’s Metal fix. Just strange that they left out mounted toms. Perhaps I’m not familiar with Post Metal…
I think a lot of newer drummers go for a very minimalist approach and that's what they were going for here. Look at a lot of younger drummers in newer metal bands and its usually one rack tom and one, maybe two floors. Im a bit more old school and like more range in my sound on a kit. Especially in cymbals. Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and the sub! I really appreciate it!
Hi DuFFuL! I really like listening to your reviews on EzDrummer Line and other software. I look forward to hearing what new music you come up with....you certainly have a great ear for recording and mixing! I’m currently using this kit for a synthy indie song and it sounds fantastic. I really like the cymbals but as you mentioned there are only two of them. The toms are wonderfully giant. One of my favorite EZX’s. It is strange this is a post metal kit since I don’t thing it does metal or post metal that well.
I agree. I get the feeling they just need to release something for metal month, so they just stuck the post metal name on it. I did mention in my vid that it would really suit anything that you throw at it. I honestly think it's possible to use this expansion for any genre. A few more cymbals would've been nice but at least the cymbals they do have sound fantastic. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it!!!
One correction tho. All the snares are not recorded with wires off. You can choose with or without for each snare, and even many of the presets have the wires on. Thx!
Yeh I didn’t mean that all of them are recorded that way. I don’t really say it right but I didn’t really realise until I put the vid up and couldn’t be bothered to to change it lol
Hi. I'm using an older Roland TD-11 kit to trigger this. despite its age, all works great tho in EZdrummer. However, when using this expansion, it treats both tom 1 and tom 2 as the same drum and I can't figure out how to reassign it. I can't use the usual method of just changing the drum for each tom because it acts like I'm hitting the same tom no matter what (again, only in this expansion, no others). I thought it'd be cool to make the 2nd tom be an additional floor tom but I'm really stuck. Any help would be appreciated as google has been no help with this specifically. thx you
@@AL_J-doing-stuff if you go into the midi section of the actual drum module, you can change what number the kit piece is actually triggering. Guys !!! People are mentioning the downfall is the lack of cymbals & Toms. HERE is what you do. start your main room kit blank. Put this kick and snare in.. add the toms..when you add the toms..REPEAT the tom in the next tom tom and just lower the pitch !!! do this accordingly and you will have 4 toms and more cymbals :)
You do realise that uses the processing of the main room kit and not the room and processing that was done by the producer of this expansion. Yes you get the kit pieces but there is more to the sound then just that. That’s why they sound different when you put cross them over.
