I liked your video, it was filmed very well, no distracting music and covered the basics of assembling the table. I am a life long woodworker and wondered why you fastened the base to the top with screws. A hardwood top like this will expand and contract with temperature and humidity levels. The video doesnt show any compensation for this. I have learned the hard way that wood will expand and contract and break the best joints and split grain before glue joints. Something to think about.

It looks like he is using the figure 8 type mounting hardware, not screwing the top directly to the frame

As others have said, this is a excellent video! I am working on almost an identical project for a friend of mine. He has supplied me with some beautiful 8/4 black walnut and I will be using the same building techniques that you were doing, right down to the use of the Festool Domino. I won’t be building legs for the bench or the table, as my friend has purchased some contemporary wrought iron legs that we will screw on.Your video serves as a nice cookbook for me. I would love to have a wide jointer as you have in your shop, but space does not permit. However my 6 inch Laguna jointer with helical head does a great job; I just have to glue up a few more pieces. Again, thank you so much for sharing this. Great job!

Great build video. I noticed you used the df500 for your table to rail joints. Do you have that it plunges deep enough for a good strong joint? Ive been considering getting one for the same purpose. Thanks.

Good video, too bad you didn’t speak English. It would have been nice to hear some details of what you were doing.

Don't we all have $75000 for new tools and woodworking machinery.
