Vincent side stand made the hard way. Forged in fire.

The original side stands are a total over kill and add a lot of weight to the motorcycle. I also prefer the cleaner lines around the engine. Making my own side stand from a high tensile bolt was the solution. It worked out pretty well. First a anvil made from an old tractor axel had to be hardened before I could use it.

Great job but you should wear safety glasses. Things have a way of getting into your eyes when fire and metal are worked. It's good to see you and your Vincent.

Very nice no nonsense job….If you feel the need to make another side stand then need one for a 1958 Sq4…..
