The Dorset Coast Finale! 60009 "Union of South Africa" - Dorset Coast Express 6/9/2017

The "Streak" stormed the south for a final time as it hauled the final "Dorset Coast Express" of the season from London to Weymouth.
Here, the LNER A4 can be seen rocketing through Pirbright at Curzon Bridge on the outbound run, with a class 47 on the rear giving some assistance to make up lost time.
On the evening return run, I caught her at Brookwood station once again absolutely pounding through the platform, the station lighting bouncing off the streamlined loco providing a nice glint before the train disappears into the darkness.
