The Unmade are in no way Dawnshards. There are only 4 Dawnshards in the whole cosmere. The Unmade were more or less 'godspren' like the stormfather, sibling, and nightwatcher
In Warbreaker it is explained that there are 4 types of invested entities. I forgot what they are defined as exactly, but yeah, you don't have to jump through hoops to fit everything into the 2 mentioned in RoW.
I think it's been confirmed by Brandon that Cultivation is a dragon hasn't it? So wouldn't that be 2 dragons on Roshar, and a total of 3 that we know of including Frost. Edit: According to the coppermind there is a confirmation in chapter 80 of ROW that confirms there is only 1 dragon on Roshar, which would be Cultivation.
Ah darn it, seems it was too good to be true. But still, I love the idea of dragons running around and I hope see get to meet one that isn't a shard soon.
Like others have said, there are 4 Dawnshards. They probably were used to shatter Adonalsium. The unmade are probably corrupted spren that correspond to each order of knight radiant. My theory is that if the Stormfather is unmade he'll become the everstorm.
I definitely have to agree that “invested harmonics” being the way the cosmere is going. Great observation, you’re on it. Unmade are definitely not dawn shards though, gotta throw that in. And dragons! Where did the dragons come from and what books are they more so mentioned in (besides RoW)? Awesome video!
Thank you! Yep I got the Dawnshard idea wrong but I still feel it was a fun idea so I'm glad I included it. Yeah the first mention of a dragon was Frost who is the founder of the 17th shard and sent agents to find Hoid in the WoK. Brandon has mentioned that dragons are natives of Yolen the kind of birth place of humanity.
Cultivation is a dragon. Also Frost is a dragon. But Brandon has said there is only one dragon on Roshar so that would be Cultivation. I think we will learn more of the dragons when Hoid's backstory is done. I think Brandon plans to call it Dragonsteel and take place on Yolen.
While not mentioned explicitly, harmony has to have a perpendicularity and it should be in the south. The southern scaldrians have his metal. They did not synthesize it so they must have found it somewhere
I think each Dawnshard relates to four of the sixteen Shards. Kind of like how the allomantic metals are sorted into groups of four. The only one that has been seen so far is one that relates to transformation so the associated Shards would be ones that have to do with change. Ruin and Cultivation would both be Shards that push change and Preservation and another (maybe Honor?) would be the ones that pull on change. We know that the Dawnshards were used to split Adonalsium. So maybe each Dawshard made a group of four?
Personality wise I think you are right, but they are both more destructive and likly inclined as tools of Ruin rather than of Preservation. The Taris people are what I think are the most likly agents of Preservation and their influence is Waxs balancing morals.
@@lettersfromthecosmere1918 balance is a mix of good and evil/construction/destruction, and the moon is known throughout history to be a "destructive" force especially in magical/esoteric terms
Love the theory about what will happen. It reminds me a lot of the LOTR lore, where the universe was created from the music of the Ainur and there was the Discord of Melkor.
I love this series but… it’s become very daunting. It’s overwhelming. I will of course continue reading TSA but damn… shits confusing lol great videos tho they helped clear some stuff up for me for sure!!
As always, thank you to Brandon Sanderson for his incredible work in the various worlds and universes he creates. Today is a longer video with more theory and less concrete. Still, I think there are more points to cover and I look forward to reading your thoughts! If you missed the first part, check it out to get all the theories: ua-cam.com/video/DcV3s7S-EUk/v-deo.html
I believe kelsier is both a cog shadow and an independent soul and most likely leading 2 organizations that oppose one another but through these actions work towards ruin/preservations goals. If true we won't know for a long time as it would be an incredible curveball. Wax is probably working with non shadow kelsier in a way like you said he is preservations ruin. Also I just want to submit that I think adonalsium created shards before dying and all this is part of his plan. Nothing to back this up. But I think it would be awsome to have patji be one of these shards and to have that world be created by adonalsium with others of the like. If shards are playing 4d chess on a cosmic scale adonalsium should be playing 6d chest on a multiversal scale.
Unmade were definitely not dawnshards. Firstly there are only 4 unless we have been lies to. Secondly they are solely commands invested with power. Not things, exactly, and definitely not in anyway sentient
Here's a crazy theory I came up with tonight while finishing tRoW: Kaladin loves Syl as more than spriends. Ishar is trying to make sprumans and we know he had best results with Honorspren. Someday Syl will become human, so that Kaladin would finally be whole and live happily ever after, and Adonalsium knows he deserves that!

Ah well, it was still a fun idea and part of making theories is getting some wrong.
Wasn't it mentioned that someone "danced" with one of the unmade?
@@durvilemayfield5752 If I remember right, Hoid remembers dancing with one of the Fused.
@@lettersfromthecosmere1918 I think that dawnshards still could've been involved in creating unmade,,

Yes, but only two of the entities are sentient, at least in Warbreaker. And there are very few like Nightblood which is the fourth type of invested.

Just finding these videos! Well done and love these videos.
I think the Unmade are splinters of Ambition, Dominion, and Devotion. They are parts of his opponents turned to Odium.
But hasn't it been established what their splinters do magic wise? Like Devotion and Dominion are the Dor

Now that's a terrifying thought...
Him and Dalinar both will go to the darkside, after Dalinar loses the battle of champions, this is what I am calling.
Everstormfather?
“Penultimate” means “second to last,” just fyi.
Thank you for deepening my enjoyment of RoW as we get ready for Stormlight 5.

4 dawnshards total. 1 on Roshar. The dragon is cultivation
Just found your channel today and have been going through your videos. Really enjoying them so far. Like and subscribed. Thanks for taking the time!
Seons are to Devotion as honorspren are to Honor. They are spren “of” a Shard.

I thought Wayne was the balance to Wax. Hates guns (ruin) and he is hiding it all in plain sight. Waxing and Wayning e.g the moon = balance.

Please make a series of videos about ALL still unexplained/mysterious, but significant things/characters/events/plotlines in TSA as a whole :)

I don’t buy Vasher’s theory that cognitive shadows are not the actual individual. I believe they are the very same person.
Can someone give us the list of things we might have missed please ? :)
Cultivation is a dragon
Very true, although at the time of writing that hadn't been confirmed at that time, so the community was still speculating.
