Olaplex is so confusing. I used it for a year, 0 3 and the mask on every wash (once a week) I was sick a lot in January and didn't worry about my hair, I put it up in a bun everyday and in February I was feeling better, did a full hair care wash and when I was done I looked in the mirror and my hair have completely broken off and it had to be cut it was so uneven, like more than 8cms cut off. I was distraught, I tried to figure out what went wrong, and when I measured the breakage on my head it was around the place where my bun sat. I assumed after using this for so damn long and spending hours on my hair every wash day and looking after it SO friggen well it would've been okay. It broke off during the month I wasn't using olaplex this shows me it wasn't in good condition. I mean I wore my hair in a bun for school for 5 years 5 days a week and it never broke off like it was SOOOO long. I'm confused and sad for wasting so much money and time honestly, silk pillow cases and scrunchies, no heat and damaging styling, protective styles as I work on boat in the wind, and then buying olaplex products. Like I'm so demotivated🙄 changing to coconut oil pre shampoo. Cheaper and less expectations.
I bleach my hair about every six months (naturally dark blonde so I can grow my roots out a bit). I use it once every two weeks and I feel that works really well to keep my hair healthy!

Just found your channel and love it! Would you be willing to do a review of some more affordable “professional grade” products you can get at Ulta? Like Verb, Bondi Boost, etc. I have fine, curly hair that gets super dry but also gets weighed down easily. It’s been pretty challenging finding products that work for my hair. I also have a pretty dry scalp. I try to avoid sulfates because of being overall very dry which makes finding professional grade products that work well with my curly hair kind of challenging!

Yes… it works! My hair is no longer “fried” look! Shine and soft! Sad is the number 8 is very little product… I think o have just for more 2 applications. I also washed my hair once a week… and oiling with Marroco oil.

N03 repairs your hair bonds so keep doing it once per week until its healthy but don't do it when you're hair is healthy because it can overstrenghen it and it'll snap off

yes, if you have chemically damaged hair you can use it 2times per week if you must but olaplex is drying which can cause more split ends and breakage(its not neccesairly the bond builder itself that can cause damage if over using )use something to moisturise hair like leave in conditioner
No don’t overuse!! I was reading an article about how this is only supposed to be used temporarily and many women don’t know about it and their hair started breaking off because they didn’t realize that it’s not to be used so long.

What am I supposed to do? I know I'm supposed to apply Olaplex 3 on clean hair (after washing it with clarifying shampoo) but I'm unable to do so because of what I've just explained. So frustrating!
They say you should actually use number 3 before using a clarifying shampoo! That’s what I read somewhere but I’m so lost bc I don’t know if you’re supposed to apply 0 and 3 on clean hair or if you can apply it to dirty hair. I have very dry fine bleached curly hair and I’ve actually done this before if I’ve wanted to do number 3 on clean hair I shampoo my hair normally with not the clarifying shampoo ONCE then use the number 5 conditioner (like only a little bit enough to detangle) then rinse it out good then apply number 3 to the damp hair then I let that sit for like 45min then when I go back into the shower I shampoo it out with the clarifying shampoo - I’m fine doing this since a person is supposed to shampoo their hair twice anyways !
@@lisamarie8005 I found out a solution. I am using the gel of a whole aloe Vera leaf as “conditioner” and it actually works! Since it is natural and has no chemicals in it, I just rinse it off with water and then apply the Olaplex 3.
Not for everyone, I used it one time and I had sever hair falling, it stopped falling after several washing and cleaning of all the residue. Now I have. One plca I can see my scalp cz of it. Ok the remaining hair was softer very very soft. I thing it become weaker

I use it on my hair that is dry from blow drying & flat ironing. Just once a week. Leave it in for 10mins or so & then shampoo, condition, & hair mask(once a week). It works beautifully. My hair is naturally gray with lots of dark hair still lingering in the back & sides. Never bleached.

Did you shampoo the treatment out of your hair? I always shampoo it out and follow up with a conditioner. I also must admit that I absolutely prefer Olaplex No 2 over 3.
You can if you want to. I have virgin hair and I rarely use heat on my hair but I do have damage because of the sun (can do more damage then you think sometimes). It definitely helped my hair but I don’t need to do it often thankfully.

I ordered Olaplex #6 a month ago and Not a big fan at all. I have 2c curls that come not quite halfway down my back. I only used half to one full pump worth of #6(under pea size every other day. I am a delivery driver for UPS, and sweat more than a man while working in 95° temps. So, I have to wash my hair every other day. I am hoping this #3 treatment does a better job.

It says to use it before washing your hair. Just damp hair and apply no. 3 for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then you shampoo & condition.

I ordered Olaplex #6 a month ago and Not a big fan at all. I have 2c curls that come not quite halfway down my back. I only used half to one full pump worth of #6(under pea size every other day. I am a delivery driver for UPS, and sweat more than a man while working in 95° temps. So, I have to wash my hair every other day. I am hoping this #3 treatment does a better job.
Yes but can I still keep using it?
