I have a different style of Arlen Ness grips. Love 'em! I've been wrenching on mountain bikes for almost 30 years and I have installed/removed rubber grips more times than I can count. The glue is overkill and it makes removing them in the future a nightmare. Instead of glue, use rubbing alcohol. Make sure the bar is clean and smooth and dry with no residual chemical on it. Wet the inside of the grip with rubbing alcohol and put the grip on fast while it is slick. The rubbing alcohol will evaporate and the rubber will stick like it has glue. If you ever need to remove the grip, it is much easier because the bar is still clean and smooth. My grips have been on my bike for a couple years now with no slippage at all. An easy way to remove the rubber grip in the future is to lift an edge and shove the red tube from a WD-40 spray can underneath, attach the can to the tube and squirt. Twist the rubber grip to work the WD-40 farther into the grip, and repeat. You will be able to remove the rubber piece intact and you can clean the insides with rubbing alcohol to make it like new for re-use at some future time. Hope this helps.
I've always used compressed air to take off the left grip without damaging it. Then you still have both if you want to put them back on later (or on another bike). Nice looking grips. Good instuctional vid. Thanks.
@@PkwyDrive13 I have put them back on if I traded it in. In fact when I trade into a dealer I put the bike back as close to stock as I can since they won't give you any more for it.
Loved the music while shooting your bike at the end. I'll be installing all black arlen ness on my 01 dyna wide glide tonight.ok just attempted. Directions say one quick motion. Glue and slide. Don't stop to get all the extra glue.
Hey bro , Did you fix the fairing issue ? Mine came off on the motorway. the two left hand side plugs snapped and are now stuck in the fairing itself. I think you said in one of your vids you was getting a clip how’s that working out as I need a whole new fairing. Just hope it’s covered under warranty
Nice vid as always. I was hesitant on the gold myself and went with a full set of the black ones. Grips, pegs, and shifter peg. I can tell you myself that first hand they are a world of difference and such an improvement from stock. Keep the videos coming bud.
Thanks for the video. Saw it last night and did my new HD get-a-grips today along with my cruise control kit. My ‘20 Low Rider S is coming along nicely.
Bro, I was stuck with this shit for like 20min. Then I said fuck it lemme see if you have a vid on it and BAM! I only did the two bottom and top, but still snug. Now I’m good to go haha my boi!
I wish I could do all this work on my bike. For all the jobs I have to take to my local HD dealer in London and they are total rip-off. Nice one goes with rims Good job 👍 stay safe.
This looks dope! Did you think of spraying it bronze to match the rims? Also, what you doing for clutch and brake levers? I know you ain’t leaving them chrome!
@@Marvelkid87 I got a 2021 streetbob with the 114. what type of throttle does it run if you can help me out. I think its the same as yours but not sure. I just dont want to order the wrong set. Thanks

Same here..I don't know why though cause nobody is going to reuse the crappy stock grips :p lol

What for a handlebar is this on your Bike?
Dope video as always. Dumb question, are our bikes considered fly by wire or dual cable?
