Baraka in this movie looked like something out of a goosebumps TV show episode to me
The Haunted Mask
Such a ramdom character... This movie was based on MK3, so his appearance doesnt make sense at All...

Bummer, too. The effects of her four arms actually looked pretty good.
Well, I guess she was no Goro.
Me too
Baraka’s costume made the 90’s Mighty Morphing Power Rangers villains look like a work of art.
lmao i don't know how to handle this comment because love the original power rangers and i thought the same thing about baraka when i first seen it

Their was a couple cool scenes but God awful movie . 😄 I'm not a filmmaker but how could someone approve this to be released.
This was made back in the 90s. The 90s had a lot of crazy stuff like this. CGI wasn't at the level it was at now, and a lot of movies had to make due with what they had (which often meant they had to do practical effects).

That fight with Sheeva was badass
Lmao lasted about 2 seconds
yeah. it was both "bad" and "ass".
Shame since I like Sheeva. Is there a reason why the fights ended with things falling on people instead of actual fighting? Sheeva is the main on my arcade machine. I'm glad she was in MK11. Hoping she is in this new one or at least a Shokan. Motaro could be a Kameo character.
@CountSnowbury considering how...inexpensive this scene looks, they probably didn't have a good way of using her 4 arms in a fight. They even knew Barakas look was ass, you only see his face for a few moments and the rest is covered in shadows, select angles, and quick shots.
😂🤣🤣🤣
Rain cameo in Baraka's Death is GODLIKE!
This scene perfectly encompasses this whole movie. Everything was cheap, lazy, and bad.
But sicc as fucc still
Yeah. The piss poor reception for this one killed any chance of a 3rd MK movie
@Mr. Man I think the sequel to this one would've been call mortal kombat: devastation had this been successful

Its because the Sheeva arm cgi wasnt working right and they had low budget so they just stuck with her getting crushed

Baraka....just another Badass Character the writer dropped the ball on.
The games did that to him since his debut...then 11 undid his decay.
@@ravenblackheart555 You mean Dvorah did that. Killing OGs left and right lol
Gocaine Baraka has had badass decay going on ever since his debut. I’ve been with the series since I was FOUR, watching my older brother play. Baraka’s character definitely became derailed as his appearances went on, even before X. 11 completely fixed all of that by giving him some development, along with the rest of the tarkatans. Baraka actually managed to become my brother’s favorite character again because of 11.
I'm glad Baraka got redemption in MK11, they should continue to develop his character. Maybe even give him a top card chapter in a future installment.
I always envisioned a great horror like reveal for Baraka - with ominous background music playing, he turns his face towards the camera/hero in darkness and then thunder and lighting reveal his hideous face to the viewers.
They must’ve spent 60 bucks on Barakas makeup
That's wasn't makeup that was a halloween mask from Party City
