YES I just got one and I was putting together a utility cart from ULINE and it was stripping out the Philips screw heads. I don't usually do work like this I'm an office person so I thought I had the wrong size bit or something but this makes sense.
Yeah, you would think a smaller drill with a lower voltage battery would have the ability to gently feather in smaller fasteners. I also wish more things would come with torx or Robertson screws. They seem to be much less prone to getting chewed up than Phillips.
this is exactly why I have disliked every "brushless" drill I have ever used. I love the low end control over my brushed bosch drills so much. I wish tool companies understood the value of being able to use these as a precision screw driver.
Exactly. Power is great when you need it, and it’s pretty impressive what they can do with a small 12 volt battery now, but having that precise controllability is equally important for me.
Definitely an issue with your triggers potentiometet, I start mine to a crawl in both speeds. I'm assuming bad tolerance in the potentiometer. Luckily milwaukee parts are cheap and easy to find/replace.
Ah, ok. I just assumed it was the way it was meant to be from manufacturing. If yours doesn’t do that, maybe I just got one that slipped through quality control? I mean, it is a good little drill, good quality materials, good fitment, etc. Thanks for letting me know!
Hey Joshua! Yeah, things are going pretty well. I’ve been helping my mom with some stuff, and my older sister’s son (my nephew is inheriting a house from his grandfather on his dad’s side passing away. Since the guy didn’t have a will it’s all gotta go through probate court. So, I’ve been helping him and my sister figure all that out. Meanwhile I’m working on getting my receipts together for taxes. I’m thinking I should be able to get back into the rhythm of regular video releases soon. I appreciate you checking in and saying hi. I hope things are going well for you too!

But it's fabulous for pre drilling holes in cake for those stubborn birthday candles. 🤷
