- I unbox the LIGHTNING BLASTER and give an initial review. The Lightning Blaster is a WELLS G36c blaster. The color scheme is a little different, and they added some lights inside, but the gearbox and internals are almost exactly the same. Therefore, replacement parts or upgrades available for the WELLS G36c will also work with the Lightning Blaster.

@@Ghost2974 to be honest, depending on what orbeez you use, you might experience some jams or malfunctions but it shoots pretty fast and hard.

I am, summer fun is over time to edit all the videos now.
I bought it and in the 4th day the part in the handle got hot and the gun malfunctions. I dried my beads as much as possible but the condensation gets all through the mechanical parts
this blaster got some real good potenial i would say!

Hey man, did you ever do any kind of mods for this guy? Just got 3 for 10 bucks each from Walmart. My first ever gel blaster (didn't even know these things existed!) and I'm hooked. I'm a fireman, and our evenings at work have become far more interesting. I'd love to do some crazy crap to make it shoot better/faster/harder. Let me know if you did anything! Thanks.
The splattrball is far superior, build quality included. I own both the 400 and the lightning and the lightning does not function anymore.
I will know more once I take it apart and see the gearbox. I suspect that the gearboxes are very similar, except Splatrball has a larger 480 motor. You are lucky, because lots of people have issues with their Splatrball gearboxes.
The gears are not like normal gears, the bevel is for a straight pinion gear. It does have the biggest potential for mods though
How to fix it video pls
Got a bunch of stuff to upgrade my gear box. The issue is that I don't want to do it half assed. The original nozzle that fits around the cyl head is so long. I can't find one that will fit, that have Orings.
I haven't tested it in lightning blaster, but in this video ua-cam.com/video/ttooBp_GP4k/v-deo.html I show the cylinder head that is supposed to work with Wells G36c (and Splatrball). Check link in the description.

What if you threw in the unlocx and surge xl? They are all fairly close in price, so which one would you recommend if you had to choose one?

@@rafagray none of these low cost blasters will survive long if you only upgrade the spring. A metal gear upgrade will be required at minimum.

Why would they use such a charger and not something universal like a type -c
Some blasters use Type C for charging, but that probably adds cost. These companies try to make things cheap, and the charger is standard for most blasters that use 2S Li-ion batteries.
