These double header races are amazing. Could this hint at a massive double header race with multiple duos going head to head. Maybe even speed tests and crazy challenges
Eisenhower’s name is on an A4 because of his service as supreme allied commander in ww2. Great engines and video!

How about Triple header
If they went the same speed the Cannada one and Tornado would win since they have the inner line most of the time
5:10 in real life, Dominion of Canada has a string tht goes up front to the bell, which the crew in the cab would yank the string, ringing the bell

5:27 Dominion of New Zealand I believe has unfortunately been scrapped, or maybe not, correct me if I'm wrong
Bittern was renamed and renumbered to Dominion of New Zealand for a while, but yes Dominion of New Zealand has been scrapped
Fun fact the steam locomotive Dwight D. Eisenhower was a gift to America.

Streamlining doesn't do much if it's behind the other engine. Kinda an oversight there LaserJet. (Even if it's a game, it still bugs me)

Flying Scotsman was originally an A1. She was rebuilt into an A3 sometime after she did 100mph.

@ZanderTignor I know but Tornado had to be pushed pretty hard to get to 100mph. Maybe she could do a bit more but the A3's could only just about manage 108mph so given the Peppercorn A1s and the A3s are very well matched to eachother it's likely she can't go much faster.
Careful when looking at the Gresley and Peppercorn A1s. There is quite a difference . Nice Video though. (Evening Star vs Bodmin please)
But A1 where built by gresely so might be based off that

Aw man: I wanted Scotsman to win (perhaps if you used Mallard instead of UoSA, he might've). Still a very nice vid though, and yes: Scotsman and Tornado look quite alike. :)

Tornado’s class, the new A1 Pacific, was designed by Arthur Peppercorn not Gresley. Also Dominion of New Zealand was scrapped in the 1960s, but her name plate was saved and used on the engine 4464 Bittern.
Dwight D. Eisenhower (originally called Golden Shuttle) and Dominion of Canada (originally called Osprey) were renamed after World War II and both now reside in North America; they were donated as presents to their respective country across the Atlantic. Dwight D. Eisenhower is in the National Railroad Museum in Michigan and Dominion of Canada is in the Canadian Railway Museum in Montréal. Both are on static display.

Dwight D Eisenhower was a General in ww2 they name a4 locomotive for him he used that train in ww2
The streamlining wont work when the A4 is in the back because the air is getting hit by the A3 + the A1 first. Oh well 😂😂

Was it based on which was the fastest A4 from the A4 races? Perhaps a different A4 would make the difference.
Btw the A4 design shares with Bugatti back then.

Apparently dominion of New Zealand was Bittern. Recently probably a few years ago Bittern changed its name to dominion of New Zealand. Have a look on wiki or something reliable.

Tornado is a Peppercorn A1, which is baicically a Thompson A2/3 with the front end tidied up😂. Tornado isn't a Gresley design tho.
Tornado is a Peppercorn A1. Her class was designed by Arthur Peppercorn not Sir Nigel Gresley.

Tornado wasn’t a Gresley design it was based off of the design done by Arthur Peppercorn in the late 40s
There’s is a problem I have with the Title. It says “Gresleys Locos” but tornado was made by peppercorn and The A1 trust
Also Gresley died in 1948

Tornado is not one of Gresley
creation it is from peppercorn but tornado is a replica of the peppercorn A1
Put half of your trains on one track and the other half on another track and then race, and have them on 200% power

Sorry to be annoying but Tornado is the next member of the Peppercorn A1 which was built in the late 1940s. She is not a Gresley design.
