Paul Sauer yea it’s more for the kids to go enjoy catching fish and practicing with a spoon. You know the best part of it is when the lakers in fall come to feed. ;)
I had a guy fishing beside me for trout and was using corn off the Cobb and was catching so many fish. I was using rooster tails and caught nothing be blessed enjoyed your video
It has been so long since I fished with a spoon. I don't think I've caught a fish this year on one. Agree with you that it's great for trout. Good tutorial video. Thumbs up
Wow!! Excellent video, i get so caught up using spinners I rarely use spoons, but after watching this that's gonna change!! Glad to see your a coke drinker, if it was Pepsi... such a beautiful place man! 😁
Beautiful place your at. I wish we had fish that I could use lures. I tried and didn't get one bite but as soon as used shrimp I caught fish and release tho cause it was to small. Thanks for sharing my friend I'm learning from all of you And one day I'll travel and know what to do😊 Have a great day😊Much Mahalo🤙🏽😊
Mmm food!!! I use to want to make fishing flies... Is that what they're called. The little fluffy casting things. I had an obsession with making things with wire and thought it would be a good idea, long story short, I don't fish so the ones I made are at the bottom of a box somewhere!😅 This is almost ASMR fishing! 😁 You are awesome!!!!
Awe Ganna my friend. You have put a smile on my face right before bed, your comment made my night. You are practically good at everything so I am going to say you'd be a kick ass fly tier! Keep doing your thing, I love all your stuff!
@@MountainStateAngler awesome hopefully bear lake is one of them!! Just got invited to a private lake next to 11 mile tomorrow supposedly some big trout!!! My first cast will be with a kasty
It’s a good thing you ate something before that long walk!! Man that scenery is beautiful there AJ!! Spoons are really a great choice thanks for the demonstration and explanation! Well done 👍🏼
Mike Parker thanks! I just wanted to show people that are trying to get into it how easy it can be most lakes in Colorado that get stocked with trout people can catch some. I see a few people gave thumbs down because where I’m fishing but I literally did not put my location. Oh well.
This is probably the single biggest reason why I enjoy mountain fishing. The lack of weeds to get stuck in. But the rock snagging replaces that haha. In any case it’s the scenery that truly does it for me. :)
Try pinching/filing down the barbs of the hooks or just replace the treble hooks with single hooks so you could easily release them. Nice spot and views them
I saw the beginning view earlier so beautiful there man . Food than fishing lol num num num energy for the walk out ☺🤙 Snake (danger noodles) watch out for them indeed lol . Good info AJ . Sucks lost number 1😥 but number 2 looked pretty nice sized . Got a big fish or a log lol lol number 3 feisty guy ☺ had a extra hook u said ? Number 4 another smaller one self released it self lol what geuss like 9 or 10 trout by the end not a bad day fishing brother . God it's so gorgeous there
KLG Maryland Fishing TV yea someone cut the line that previously caught it so it had the hook in the mouth and the line and loop coming out of the mouth and my lure caught on that.
I really like spinners for trout but today i was fishing a lake near c470 i found a spoon put it on and nailed a fatty first cast! 😆 gotta love colorado. What lake is this btw
I think it may state to not fish off the dam or stay away from certain areas. This particular spot wasn’t a dam and also as long as you’re behind the sign you’re ok. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it!
Colorado Fisher hell yeah man gonna give those a try. Been killin it at places like aurora, chat field and Quincy with lures but need to get up in the mountains for sure
Jose Moreno good to hear! I have been going Far East to Nebraska almost for the walleye, it’s been a good season so far. Definitely get up to the mountains the lake trout are shallow now.

Sick!!! I never had much luck on the creeks with these but they definitely produce well on the lakes of course that’s just my area in general 👍

That burger looked legit 🍔 👌
It was one Of the best too bad the guy shut it down
Great video man I usually use spinners so I'll definitely try a spoon next time

Hey! I enjoyed watching! Have a great weekend 👍
Great tutorial. I have never used one of those lures. They seem to catch them pretty well. You should do a head to head spoon vs spinner.
You just gave me a great idea. I will have my buddy do this with me on Saturday.
@@MountainStateAngler You should switch half way through to make sure it's not the fisherman.
Peeling Line haha good idea!
Great explanation man
Thanks brother! Always a pleasure to have a cool cat like you comment.
Great vid as usual!
Thanks brother Matthew! I wish they were abit bigger. Can't wait for October the browns will feed heavily. :)

Beautiful country in Colorado
How long did it really take you to catch those fish it seemed like 5 minutes
That same afternoon I was fishing, I always fish that spot and have a cast master, they follow every cast.
What rod and is it good for Rapala countdowns !
Good video brother going up high this weekend.. Maybe you can join next time
I am good to go Sunday. I have no plans but to only go fishing somewhere in the mountains.
I am so hungry right now lol
You like eating trout?
nice video thanks for info
Everything loves the spoon
Found you on live I'm hooked to your station let's grow !
Sometimes fishing can be rocket science. Which is why I cant make up my mind on lures
Man, i know what you mean but two lures that work anytime of the year on trout have been kastmasters and tasmanian devils.
@@MountainStateAngler Tasmanian underwater devils?
Oscar Tango look up a lure called “Tasmanian Devil” for fishing.
Oscar Tango I use it here: ua-cam.com/video/DOmXVi79dT8/v-deo.html
Any lakes you would recommend in the Colorado mountains?
Mt. Elbert Forebay, Twin Lakes and Turqouise. Basically any of the Lake County lakes are fun to fish especially for Lake Trout and Browns.
