You’ll receive the microphone, a mic stand, a foam windscreen, a mini pop filter, and an instruction manual. The mic has a plastic body with a dark blue matte finish. It measures 6”L x1-3/4”W x 1-1/4”H. The USB cable on it is about 5’ long and there’s a small Velcro cable tie is included for cord management. The tripod stand has durable metal legs and rubber feet making it fairly stable and stationary and it uses a standard 5/8” thread which would be the same as say the Blue Yeti or Blue Yeti Snowball. It has a small shock mount for suspending the mic and protecting against surface vibrations, which rotates 180°, and a built-in gooseneck for attaching the 3-3/4” diameter pop filter, which simply screws on. The foam wind screen slips over the top of the microphone to help reduce wind noises from your breath and dampen unwanted background noise.
This mic is pretty much plug-and-play and once you attach it to your computer via the USB cable the drivers will install automatically. Once this is complete, you can use any application that accepts microphone input like Audacity for sound recording, Skype for video chat, or UA-cam Live for podcasts. Note that this is a side address microphone which means that you don’t talk into the top of the microphone because it doesn’t have very good pickup in this area. The condenser is located on the front side where the logo is and has a cardioids pickup pattern so this is where the sound will be captured most clearly.
The sound captured by this microphone is quite clear and crisp and you can position the mic 6 to 18 inches away from your face and still have great pickup. While the TC-777 doesn’t quite have the rich tonal accuracy of the Blue Yeti X Pro that I usually record with, the sound is well-balanced with little distortion and soft plosives. The raw audio is clean and easy to manipulate in post-processing, so you can get the best sounding audio you can out of it without much effort. You can also mount the mic to a boom arm and the reduce the amount of surface vibrations the mic might pick up. Just make sure you use a 5/8” thread adapter to attach your mic to a standard 3/8” thread.
For a budget condenser mic, I found this mic to be a very good value for the quality of the build and the sound it produces for you. If you’re on a budget and can’t afford to invest a lot into your set up as you’re getting started, the TC-777 is a great launching point and will definitely step up your game for content creation, live streaming, and in-game chats.

@@ryanbowers8207 it only seems to be quiet on my I movie, when I used it on playstation it was perfect. I tried increasing mic sensitivity to full on my Mac settings on I movie but that didn't work. Haven't been able to rectify the issue as of yet

This is a great mic!!! I had a Blue Yeti and it's comparable. As Phil said, it's lacking the sharp tonality the Blue Yeti can pick up but it's *almost* as good. HIGHLY recommend!

@@Ayran66 Yes I got it as a gift! I have been very happy with it. I use a non-mechanical keyboard when I play games and those in my Discord calls have had no complaints(while previously they did) 00. It's important to note that I took a gamble based on 1. the not obnoxious keyboard sounds in this review and 2. the difference in volume he showed based on directionality and mic distance. I have my mic on a boom arm close to my face. I can't speak to the keyboard noise picked up by Discord if you have it set up the way he does in his video. Hope that helps a bit :)
u could put on "Krisp" in sound settings it reduces ur keyboard sounds and everything. I use it too and everythings perfect

Those of you who would like to see a real world review on this mic for to my channel this is the microphone I use for all my videos and podcast 👍
And in my honest opinion it's not the best considering the fact that it picks up a lot of background noise but it's good for what it is.

Thanks for the review! I loved the part where you demonstrated the sound for clicky keyboards, because I have a really clicky keyboard.
I don't think it's accurate for everyone tho. Some people have the mic infront of the keyboard so the keyboard's sound gets dampened because it's behind it. But a great review overall!

Hm, what program are you using to record with? Usually excessively loud input levels and lots of noise indicate there's additional gain being applied to the input feed. I would check your software's settings and the mic's properties to ensure that gain is set to '0' and you can always adjust the input levels lower: In Windows 10, search for "sound settings" in the Cortana search bar, under input with the Tonor mic selected in the dropdown, click on Device Properties, and set the input volume to something less than 100. Adjust to your liking and see if it resolves your problems.

im using it cuz im bit broke and its enough for discord calls and playstation parties I dont use it for more tho so I like it alot. Im also using it with a boom arm so I have an even better quality with the standing thing I was often a bit further away from it cuz while on PC im laying back on my chair cuz its more chill and very cozy and with the boom arm I just put infront of me like I need it. Very gud mic in my opinion for a cheap mic
I use this mic for streaming and videos and it is surprisingly well for its price.

This was very helpful. Ive been looking for a budget mic and when i found this one on amazon i was iffy becsusebof its.low price
I keep getting surface vibrations even though its secured on the rubber bands. Anyway to minimze though vibrations without having to buy a microphone boom arm stand thing?
The only other thing you could do is eliminate the source of the vibration. Like if your laptop fan is causing the noise which is traveling through the mic base, set your laptop on a different surface. You could also try using an application that applies live audio filters to filter out the surface vibration sounds. I know OBS has audio filter capabilities, though I haven't used them myself.

Thanks. It's a decent budget starter mic. If you're not doing any serious "work" with it, I think it would be fine for stuff like gaming or voice/video chat.
