LYRICS
Now I can take this everything I know
Realize that I'm nothing I wanted to be
I can never change anything I've done
Because its the only thing I have left
Blame myself again for what I didn't do
Never really knew it was coming from me
It changed the way I felt, the worst is yet to come
Because I have gone to far now
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody change my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody let it die
But it still becomes a new disease
Is this all worth what this has done to me?
Watered down my senses and turned them on me
Fuck morality and everything I know
If I didn't hate this then I couldn't go
Impersonate myself for what I used to be
Denial is all that's left now
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody change my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody let it die
But it still becomes a new disease
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody change my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody let it die
But it still becomes a new disease
Seething in my head
I'm suffering instead
I can't remember why this meant so much to me
Doubt
Did I ever want this?
It all could have been, it all would have been
Doubt
Did I ever want this?
It all could have been, it's all I'll ever be
Seething in my head
I'm suffering instead
I can't remember why this meant so much to me
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody change my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody let it die
But it still becomes a new disease
Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody change my mind
And it leads me to a new disease
Somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody let it die
But it still becomes a new disease
But it still becomes a new disease
But it still becomes a new disease
THIS SONG HAS BEEN STUCK IN MY HEAD FOR THE PAST DECADE AND IVE FINALLY FOUND IT
The Nerd Logan me too but 17 years instead I was 14 in 2003
@@posicore atleast we have finally found it
The Nerd Logan heck yeah man:) yessir! ‼️
Great feeling isn't it?
I used to listen to this back in 07 08 when I was 12 or 13, 2022 is here and I've just refound this after years and years. No better feeling!!!
The reason I replayed Shaun Palmer's demo over and over
You are not alone on that one
Watch 3000 miles to graceland thats where i first heard this song
.
hell yeah Reddy Crow! i've still got the demo disk lol
LOL over 12 years later i knew im not alone XDD
Same
“Height of Callousness” was a perfect album. Every song is solid with no filler. That’s a rarity in the Nu metal genre especially in the early 2000s.
Yep :)
Fo sho
I never skip a song from that album. Perfection
Another perfect Nü Metal album with no filler that is super underrated is One Minute Silence’s “Available in All Colours”.
@ZombieDesertDefender your pfp says no different lol
But yeah fantastic album
Spikey hair, chin beards, tight black shirts, leather cuffs, lots of guitar jumps.... yep, can confirm this is Nu Metal. Fuck I miss this time
From mid teens to late 30's, and I still love this shit.
99 to 2003 was the best time
this is like the best song of the 21st century? thanks Spineshank
About 1994ish to 2005ish was the golden age for metal. I mean dont get me wrong - shit like Justice and stuff from the 80s still slaps HARD, but this stuff is just perfect. A great balance of techno, vocals, heavy industrial guitar, and driving drum beats.
@@tehagent1321 but the Britney's and the Christina's, the TLC, and mariahs, and beyonce's and backstreet, oh god I want to barf. The 80s metal ruled for a good 3 - 4 years.
The Golden Age. These were simpler, and more satisfying times. Such sweet nostalgia.
Can I borrow your rose tinted specs?
Yes mate it was the best
Mark my words, Nu Metal will make a comeback in the decade to come. So many bands now incorporate Nu Metal influence into their music.
Amen to that bro!!!
Tetryarch is a great modern one. But yes we need more bands to jump on the hype train😅🤟
Thats what i was gunna say !
@@rainbowslushy223 Disturbed Dope Static X Drowning Pool Korn too many people trying to bring back the whole emo movement🤣or everyone just wants 2 be super technical n fast.
can we hurry it up then? I don't want any more garbage pop bands. let this genre live.
I didn't realise that this is the most underrated band ever until 2006 until I bought all their albums and was blown away.
2019 still rocking hard to this song
Hell Yeah!!
2020 now :)
@@ALT-vs6qy I lost all my CDs years ago and had completely forgotten about these guys. A song by Drowning Pool was playing in the background and it made me think of a song that I hadn't heard in forever; couldn't even come up with a lyric or remember who or what, but I KNEW it was from the MX Superfly soundtrack. Looked it up and legitimately jumped up and down when I saw the name Spineshank. And now here I am in 2020 also rocking out with you! Makes me wonder what other good music I'm forgetting about! :(
2020 fuck covid this my jam!! I’ll always jam!
\M/ >_< \M/
One of the few bands whose music still sounds as great as when it first came out.
That drum fill before the first two choruses 👌
This song/video always brings me back to my highschool graduation back in 2001. This video came on Mtv 2 and I recorded it on my VHS tape I had lying around just in case if I never saw this again. And yes I said VHS. LoL!!!!! I still watch those as long as I have a working VSR!!!!
Back in the days when MP3's were the enemy of Lars Ulrich. Hahaha ANd most people ripped MP3's to such a low rate and shitty quality. R.I.P Napster.
Rediscovering this 20 years later 🥰
Spineshank is a truly underrated gem
I discovered this band because of this song being used in some cheesy Mario VS Sonic flash animation back in the pubeless school days, hahaha.
+Killysunt me too ^^
not me I learned it from a ps3 game I just can't remeber the game
+Killysunt I'd +1 the shit out of this comment if I could.
+Nick Williams Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
+Clive Robertson MX Superfly
I spent hours playing Shaun Palmers Pro Snowboarder. Ended up mastering the whole game. This song is best remembered for being played after completing a run while going through the stats.
I played the demo at a buddies house. There was only the first level and this song. I heard it hundreds of times that summer.
On tony hawk pro skater 3 😂
This comment. ❤ Shaun Palmer and this song soooo much memories
I miss the hell out of that game
2021 and Spineshank still destroys with this 🔥🔥🔥 badass album ...way ahead of its time! 🤘😎🤟
Albums rules. And was produced by Garth, who produced the first Rage Against Machine album amongst a lot of other amazing bands.
Most underrated band ever
Ever ???
nice1tommy
Ever...
album maybe but idk about band
Along with 36 Crazyfists and hopesfall
Element Eighty?
Dear Spineshank, it's time for a reunion. We need you.
I believe rhe singer had a heavier band named silent civilian.
Soil needs to come back too

@@NefariousOaf this was a extra track on the Japanese version of the album "Self Destructive Pattern" that finally resurface, nonetheless an awesome song by Spineshank, there will be more rare songs resurfacing.

Heavier but Not better.....
Im 49 years old and still think this is one of the best songs ever.
Yes! I love how he starts with “No! I can’t take this! Swear it gets stuck in my head so fast😄 I’m skipping every jab after finding out they inject over 24 diseases into us before we’re 2! They are carcinogenic and always been filled w/ JUNK!
After hearing this in 3000 miles to Graceland when it came out I was addicted to these guys... Here I am nearly 2 decades later.
I grew up on this, fear factory, deftones, korn, coal chamber, incubus etc, etc, etc!
Same! What an era! Feel sorry for kids nowadays.
Also Static-x
@@CraigLedden there's still tons of great music just need to know what to look for. Every generation says the same shit lol
Morrigan Renfield fair enough I can see what you mean 👍🏻
FEAR FACTORY was so far ahead of their time when they came out. One of the God fathers of industrial metal.
Still a damn good song in 2024. The perfect instant mosh song. Great way to start work
My favorite nu-metal song. I thought spineshank would go way further than a flash in the pan
Spineshank is technically industrial metal like other bands such as Static X, Rammstein and Fear factory.
@@Callentay would you consider sevendust industrial
@@chriswentworth2758 Not at all, they're more traditional heavy metal like disturbed.
@@Callentay oh
They had issues with their label and eventually just stopped, that's the way it always seems to go with good bands like this, they either obey the labels and end up making watered down sell-out shit or they leave.
That's why jonny started silent civilian he could do what he wanted
still the top of my playlists. BRING IT BACK!
This era of metal was absolutely fuckin' killer man
nobody, nobody nobody nobody, change my mind, and it leads me to a nudist beach.
lmfao
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH LMAO
Phill Coverley aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh now that's all I hear! thanks for that :)
Phill Coverley hahahaha yes!
Phill Coverley this tune is like an ass-kicking
I'm 34 I grew up listening to these guys, and I've been neglecting to listen to it lately because I don't want to know if they still hold.up.
Oh they do, they definitely do.
Damn you really lived the 2000s huh
@@ZonicZ haha yeah, was in 10th grade the first time I heard them. My buddy showed them to me. I used to get them and taproot mixed up. No idea why
Corona virus like “this is my jam for 2020 “ 🦠😎
Yes! And its all manifested by our own lower frequency based believe systems! 🎶
Ha! All my favorite songs from high school, this is top 10, are eerily relevant to this current bullshit.
+
👍
Hahah wtf
3000 miles to Graceland ahhhh great times
I always liked this song but somehow many years went by without me hearing it.
Today I remembered this song name and was curious about it.
It is so nice to be able to just type in to youtube any song you want to hear full length.
When I heard it today after like 5+ years, it was a uniquely wonderful experience(like hearing it for the first time)!
i still listen to this underrated badass song here in 2021, modern crap doesn't even compete.
Same
Brutal song
Getting sucked down a rabbit hole I search one song then so many good memories of the past come back best community right here rock on!
Still rocking this jam in 2022. Spineshank always a favorite
Spineshank, ill nino and chimera. Still one of the best gigs I have ever been to. To be 19 again 😭
One of the best concerts I have been to. It happened to be my birthday, and I was lucky enough to be shooting the shit with the lead singer of the opening band (unbeknownst to me). It was a small venue, but mid-show, Johnny pauses and pulls me up to wish me a happy birthday and ask what song to play next. After the show, I was pulled backstage to chill and meet everyone, including his lovely girlfriend.
Tommy is such an underrated drummer and Johnny's vocals are a perfect overall tone for their style of music It's too bad they didn't take it seriously enough and really put in the work to make multiple great albums, but at least we have diesel ! It's hard for people to MAINTAIN success for long periods of time, or repeating success.
Self destructive pattern is good too
@@tokyoticcat4346yess
This song rules. It did back in the day, and it still does here at almost 2015!
kornfreak78 hell yea man thinking the same thing
It's still rules in 2016
Segun Olorunyomi 2017 i still jam this song its on my daily playlist, gets me hyped for work everyday
At work as we speak, listening to it
2017 and still rocking it.
3000 miles to Graceland
I knew I'd heard this somewhere besides the CD back in the day.. and thought it was that movie but could never remember
NOSTALGIA! This song was buried in the deepest recesses of my brain!
This brings me back in time
I used to remember this song off of that video from Newgrounds called "Mario vs. Sonic S.E.".
WrathriumXFears Me too.
‘Cept y’know... newgrounds lol
The second i heard this, i was like "wait I've heard this song in the past, but from what?"
Thank you for the comment
I forgot about that video
This should get like 12x time more views. To me this bands is like one of those bands when you find and thank yourself for finding it. It just dosn't get old. Epic songs.
Always the first song played in Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder. Got so used to it, and it's a damn good song.
FUCK!!!!!! I wish I was 19 again, 20 years since this came out! We need this kinda shit again!
I’m 19 right now, I’ll make sure to cherish my time in college.
where does time go?
I didn't even know the band Spineshank till their song came out from their self-titled album, "Smothered." I first heard that song off a metal and hard rock compilation called Headbangers Ball (Volume 1). Great song, and then it lead me into wanting to see what some of their other hit songs were. This is my second favorite track of theirs.
One of my favorite songs ever. Insane lyrics, awesome beat
Man, I remember buying this album back in 2000. I was 17. Never been a nu-metal fan, since 11 year I was listening to fear factory, metallica, pantera, etc. But Spineshank was and is still sick. Just like deftones.
I hope this band understands how profound their album was. I can't tell you how many of my friends were listening to it and what an impact it made on my life. I am in my 40s listening to this. Thank you more than anything
Shaun Palmer demo from THPS3
ps2 days bro im sad because time is really flying tho 😢
FUCK YES!
THANK YOU!!! Knew I heard this from somewhere.
Exactly the reason I am here right now :)
ditto! great song to put on a demo and i still like it all these years later!
Many years on, still a great song.
Killer song,I used to listen to this all the time,it's just track you never forget back in the day🎶
RIP early 2000s, you where over too soon 🤘🤘🤘
Man this is such a good song! And a good band! I will never understand why bands like this, Powerman 5000, Taproot, Flaw, Unloco, Ill Nino, Pulse Ultra, etc. were so overlooked
BlinkPS2 my belief is that when this band was around sooo many nu metal style bands were around like Mudvayne, or soulfly, or in my opinion drowning pools first album that being said a lot of these bands just didn't get the limelight cause there was so much of it same thing happened with Snot before lead singer died of course
Nice bands, and Dope
Totally forgot about this song. Happy to have found it again.
Shaun palmer snowboarder for ps2 ftw
Yep
"WATCH MY LATTÉ!"
nice maneuver!
nah its not a copy it's the same exact producers and platform.......I think. you can just watch videos on UA-cam if you don't want to buy it at least
yep, thats why i'm here (i just searched for this right after I played shaun palmer's pro snowboarder)
SPINESHANK IS KEEPING ROCK ALIVE ..........THANK YOU GUYS !
Nu Metal levels at 100%. I feel like spiking up my hair and whining. Anybody else?
Washington Sweaty im not crying at a metal somg
You mean winning!
@@NexusKin Quit winning.
INCREDIBLY UNDERRATED ALBUM AND BAND OF THAT GOLDEN AGE
This song never gets old. :3
I'll never forget this song from playing the THPS demo. Good times
Great guys, great musicians. They're working on a new record now and what I've heard so far is AMAZING!
This is such a sick ass track,It still gives me the chills.
As a middle-aged metal head, I swear this guitar/bass chorus riff is one of the best I have ever heard
It took me fucking 8 years to find this song thank you gradeAunderA😄😄😄
grade a featured spineshank?
He did a video on finding any song's name. Haha
been looking for 6 months as well
man me 2 haha :)
Love GradeAUnderA. :D
BRING BACK SPINESHANK RIGHT NOW!!!
Mainstream or not, this song was and still is kickass.
definitely one of the best songs ever
Hard hitting-
Shaun Palmers pro snowboarder brah!
2019, still holds up
Performs better than a lot of music out lately
Most underrated Nú metal band!🤘🤘🤘
I always remember those days when this used to be labelled as Disturbed on Limewire or Kazaa. I think I honestly thought this was Disturbed for several years until I discovered that it wasn't!
Still listening daily in 2024, the most underrated band ever!
thank you roadrunner records. You have brought us dream theatre, nightwish, killswitch, and trivium just to name a few. keep up the awesome work!
3000 miles to graceland first time i heard this song
Spineshank, Soil, and Sevendust were just some of the most underrated nu-metal bands around at the time. A lot of them never got the attention they deserved. I thought the songwriting on 'Self-destructive Pattern' in particular was pretty strong. Great band.
I love when this song comes on and just suspends my expectations or a drop...I guess of tone and they just keep it right at your eyebrows
This has been my ringtone for my alarm to wake up in the morning since 2005 lol. Always reliable to wake me.
When will spiked hair become cool again? Seriously.
Was thinking the same thing a few days back.. Many people now got their hair going one side of the head.. It's rare to see peeps having spikes, now
Why wait for it to "come back?"
Because I'd feel like a douche.
Never, because now we have people wearing their hats backwards, wearing a "golden" chain, wearing a ugly tank top,and crocs
For some reason thats "cool"
Barrel Roll that will go out of style eventually. Don't worry. Spiked hair did. I want it to come back.
ONE OF THE BEST NU METAL SONGS EVER!!!!! I listen to this to this very day! Spineshank is Life!
I can remember first listening to this song when i went to Australia, I can remember all the subtle nuances of life down under just by listening to this song, playing constantly while going down the gold coast.
Only good music can do that.
Wowww 20 años han pasado desde que vi este video en MTV que tiempos..😎🖤🔥🎶🎵🇵🇪🤘🏻
Shaun Palmer Pro Snowboarder PS2 demo!😄
Shaun White Snowboarding on PS2 made me a Spineshank fan ❤
Love this song!!! Though I had the lyrics wrong all these years. Used to ride fmx and this song would pump me up so much! Still killing it here in 2022!
Its just sad how good music is slowlly vanish..
too true unfortunately
No, it just went underground.
@Angel Alvarado nu metal literally turned into pop lol
There was so many copycats of nu metal pioneers (korn, deftones, limp bizkit etc)
And those bands weren't dark and angry like early korn or slipknot.
I am talking about shit like crazy town or alien ant farm, or any other band that just jumped on the hype train
this was my shit on shawn palmer's snowboarding
Best song for having a huge firefight with a SWAT team with Ice T.
I still listen to this song almost weekly
2020: I've got a new disease for you.
3000 Miles to Graceland brought me here.
This song is so amazing. Now i can truly say spineshank is what u call an amazing industrial metal band
I remember getting home from school and switching on the Kerrang channel and watching quality videos like this!
Mario vs. Sonic.
Shaun palms snowboarding I love that game
Great production on this song. The recording is the best. Perfectly sound engineered.
this song might be old. but this is the band and song that fit me into hard Rock!!!! will always love them.
Oh lordy this takes me back... 2009... Used to have spiky hair and listened to this full blast. Fast forward to 2020 i'm totally bald, have a beard but still listening to this and singing along. I think I still have the CD somewhere as well.
This video was uploaded / released in 2009, but the song was off of their 2000 Album titles "The Height of Callousness". I first ran into this song when I was using Audio Galaxy Satellite, WAY BACK in the pre-napster days. I just randomly searched for "metal". lol The good old days indeed!
You mean 2000 yeah? Nu-metal was definitely past by 2009 ;)
this reminds me of mario vs sonic in my chillhood
ME TOO
+YAYFORCHICKENSLOL me too
This band is ageless, i'm gutted they waited so long to release another album, and then the wait starts over again. Tormented music indeed but always realised/rewarding.
The nu metal era was filled with amazing music and bands, like Spineshank.
I remember that Mario vs. Sonic animation with this hit as the soundtrack, the best times to be alive 😎🤟
